us would appear hours to days later. And 80% of the time there was either no Internet reception or it was inexorably slow.
Recently travelled from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to Bundaberg and could not access calls/text/Internet except in one spot. Switched over to a provider running on the Optus network which is a) cheaper b) has data banking c) has an on-shore call centre and d) calls/texts/Internet work as expected.
The ironic thing is, I pay my monthly bill via credit card and have it set to decline transactions unless I manually go into my Internet banking to activate it (fraud prevention technique) I used to forget to set it back on when Internode's billing date was coming around and would get a notice that payment had failed, so I'd hop onto the online portal and pay it within a day or two. Since that six months was up, the notification would be "pay by x date" or we'll cut your service. The problem being that they were barely providing a service in the first place and I'd have every right to go the ACCC to complain or get at least a partial refund as they weren't providing the service I was paying for in the first place.

account & changed credit card details. Whilst I was away overseas with no mobile connection & sketchy wifi I was advised by email that I owed money for my mobile account. I was confused as my account is direct debited & thought perhaps it was a scam. After a few more emails & threats of my mobile account being terminated I went to my Internode account & paid the outstanding amount. When I arrived home I found my mobile had been disconnected. I rang Internode & explained what had happened & was referred to a technician who said they would sort it out & get back to me. I heard nothing, & then spoke to someone in sales who told me that the mobile service was different to my internet service & had separate account details which was news to me. I assumed that since Internode were providing the service all account details were managed by the one service. I was advised to pay the outstanding money again which I did over the phone, & was told the disconnection would be fixed & someone would get back to me. Heard nothing again so had to ring yet another person who advised that my phone number (which I had for 30+ years) was gone. This whole process took 2 days & I was shunted around & no one ever followed up & rang me back. Appalling service for a long standing & loyal customer, hence I changed mobile providers & am thinking whether I should do the same with my internet. Poor form Internode!

Avoid – Today rang re simple billing error at 4.13pm. First responder could not understand English. Seconded responder left me hanging on line till 5pm when I just hung up on despair. Been with Internode for twenty years?! Changing tomorrow. Don’t know what had happened, they used to be good. Cannot recommend. Show details

Worst mobile service ever. Unbelieveable – Unbelievably bad service. run out data be prepared to spend 10 mins on phone. Support staff run you around and waste time. Vodafone coverage terrible as well. Absolutely worst ever Show details

Worse than Dodo now - disreputable and dishonest – I have been with internode for 16 years and they used to reputable and reliable but not anymore. Since TPG took over, they replaced the knowledge Australian staff and sent the call centres from South Australia to poor quality overseas call centres, The service is simply the worst you can imagine. incorrect billing and not responding due to “investigations” that due to the length of time Involved, must be being conducted by Scotland Yard but more likely by Inspector Clouseau. Avoid at all cost as they do not know what they are doing.. Paying high prices for the old reliable gold stand Internode service but getting Dodo level of (No)service instead

No problems with connections or data streaming I recommend Internode for your mobile phone provider, – Data speed was fast it was 5g,had no problem with the provider at all, would use them again if they had another mobile deal which I could afford after I finish with my current provider. Company failed to give me the product I paid for and would not give any refund – Ordered a sim card on the 3rd, received it on the 15th (Guy told me this was express and chuckled as it told me it doesn't take long after I asked for refund). refund me (It's not much money very worried about a company that can't refund $15 this was just about the principle for me) Was told the process was common knowledge and I'd find more information in the fine print... Nice transparency... Terrible waste of time lucky they are cheap. No option to cancel the plan online either, tried cancelling on the phone but they are balls to deal with.

Vodaphone Coverage Poor – When Internode switched from Optus to Vodaphone service at one of my frequent locations disappeared completely even though the coverage map showed 3G and 4G coverage. Could not make a call or download data. This occurred on several occasions. Had to use my wife's phone still on Optus. Show details

New Vodafone mobile service worse than the old Optus based service – Whilst the previous mobile service was marginal (got one or two bars from our house) the new service has zero to one bar and thus not usable. I'll have to revert to an Aldi service that gets four to five bars at the same location on another phone. Tried to call Internode but hold time is advised as over one hour. Show details

New mobile plan. They were very helpfull and friendly – I wanted a new mobile plan as the one i had from another company was not what i wanted but because i had my NBN with Internode i thought i would go with them as they offered a better deal Show reply
