Very happy with the build quality and the efficiency of this unit. It works significantly faster than it's sister Leone unit (which we also have for the bedroom). This larger version is excellent for controlling humidity in an area which faces the bathroom and kitchen, as well as needing to dry laundry over winter in Melbourne. The noise on low is easy to ignore, and if you ramp up the fan it really gets the air moving around the room. Note like all compressor units they need an indoor temp of 19degrees+ to work well - so perfect in cool climates if your house has central heating, no good for cold unheated areas. Buyers should note the need to take off the plastic wrapped HEPA filter inside the unit before operating - an essential step missing from the instructions.
Good product, works well in my garage, shame that the app is so bad, it would be so good and useful with it, please invest on that ASAP! I personally need it a lot and would make my job a lot easier.
The Ionmax gets good reviews but I couldn't get it working. After printing out the online manual I had to number the pages and do my own index, a necessary start, and the troubleshooting section has so far been no help at all. The instruction manual explains each icon, not really how they work in conjunction with each other. Various emails went back and forth and eventually I heard from the support people who asked if I had removed the plastic film from the filter? No I hadn't - because I didn't know it was there and there were no instructions to do so! After having done that it still didn't work so the next suggestion from support was to "1. Verify the settings, ensuring that the desired humidity level is higher than the current environmental humidity." (that makes no sense, read it again and see if you agree?) and put it into the bathroom while having a shower. I did as requested and, thanks to also having the carpets shampoo'd today and having damp carpets I now have water in the tank. So I've turned the humidity level down to 55% (their recommendation) and things seem to be OK. The tank has filled, it turns itself off, and then been emptied twice.
However the problem with the poor instruction manual remains. A pity they couldn't produce something that explained things a bit better when they have such a good product because I think that when anything goes wrong I will have to contact them rather than find what I need in the manual.
