okayed it for the work. I assumed, wrongly, that a service would include checking/repacking bearings. Charge was $260. Bike was exactly as it was, with a new tyre and chain. Will NEVER go back there

The conclusion I come to is that this branch of Ivanhoe cycles is poorly run and only cares about selling bikes. The previous year my wife and I wandered around the shop for half an hour looking for a product without anyone asking if we wanted help! The good people who founded this business would be disgusted with these people. The originators built this business on GREAT SERVICE !!!

Warranty bike replacement made easy – Cracked the frame on an old Giant Anthem 29er X0 Mountain Bike. Giant bikes come with a lifetime frame warranty. Ivanhoe contacted Giant who did not have any replacement frames that old, so they replaced it with a new bike! Very good service. Best customer service ever! – Steve and the team at Ivanhoe Cycles were absolutely brilliant. They helped us choose and test our two hybrid bikes, and set them up super fast. Steve was very helpful and answered all our questions about the bike setup as well as peripheral gear like helmets and mobile phone carriers. What an amazing service! – We bought bicycles and car rack from Ivanhoe Cycles Megastore. We were very impressed with the service from all the team and particularly Manish who went beyond everything we expected and helped us with a few issues we had with the bike rack, helped find the best bike carrier for our car and installed it for us. case I was way off track and I was never pressured to change any (as another Giant supplier had previously strongly tried). I was incredibly impressed and am sure I will continue my love affair with Giant bikes and now with Ivanhoe Cycles

Excellent service but it depends on who you get – I bought my giant road bike from the Heidelberg store 4 years ago and had it serviced there around 8 times since. fixed the issue three services later. I dropped the bike off a few sundays ago for a service later during that week. My right shifter was not functioning properly which was due to a worn out cable. Brian was on duty. Rather than simply receiving my bike , he examined it on the spot and ended up fixing it right away along with a few other minor issues that he discovered and explained while he was repairing my bike. Prompt and professional service – I dealt with staff over the phone to arrange for payment and shipment of bikes to Tasmania. The post sales service is remarkable too. Maneesh ensured I'm equipped with all required knowledge and future services routine. Simon the Mechanic showed me all the bike settings before I left the store. Days later Glen the Store Manager remembered and presented my insignificant post sales accessory order when I arrived at the sales counter. What more to expect from a LBS with such friendly staff who are so willing to help.

was investigating the purchase were promptly and efficiently answered, and I was confident that buying the spin bike through them was the way to go.

Another massive tick for them as far as I was concerned was that Ivanhoe Cycles are stocking and selling their home fitness equipment. These guys are one of the biggest bike shops in Melbourne and don't deal with rubbish or dodgy companies.

After I purchased the bike I had a query about putting it together and I rang Lifespan, they put me through to their tech here in Melbourne and he answered my query straight away - no Asian call centres in sight.

I even ordered an optional seat for the spin bike through them online and then found that it was cheaper through their Ebay store. I emailed them on a weekend and asked if it was possible to cancel the order. A reply comes through on the weekend saying "No problems - we'll cancel that order and refund your Paypal account so you can get it via Ebay." How refreshing to have good customer service from an Australian company and deal with locals.

The spin-bike I bought from them is rock solid and I would buy from this company, or buy their products again without hesitation.
