Itchy scalp, unhealthy hair – Started using this a few weeks ago, so have probably used a total of 6-8 times. To begin with it feels great - shampoo lathers well, conditioner goes a long way you only need a tiny bit. My scalp over time has become increasingly itchy though, and I have started getting dandruff/sores, something I have NEVER had an issue with in my life. My hair… Read more
stopped looking 'healthy' and smooth, doesn't shine the same, and just feels really 'crusty'. It has made my hair texture weird, it is really fizzy and doesn't smooth out well at all. I have changed nothing else about my routine to cause these issues. I won't be buying again and would never recommend this product to friends. I have previously used the Matrix brunette range and it is LEAPS AND BOUNDS ahead of this product. Try that.
Not worth the money – Brought the brunette shampoo and conditioner as a treat for my hair total £14. The shampoo had a luxurious feel and lathered well. The conditioner well i put 2 lots on but it still left my hair tangled, knotty and feeling really rough, could not get a comb through it. I have never had a conditioner like it. After drying at first looked good and… Read more
shiny but the next my hair looked limp and dull like i was ill or hadnt washed it, then my scalp started itching really bad. Have tried it 3x each time the same reactions. I would never recommend or buy again. Worse conditioner I've ever used. Would give 4 stars to shampoo but minus 2 or more for conditioner.
Beautiful Results – I have used this range for years alternating with another shampoo. The shampoo is very rich and you have to be careful not to use too much as it may give a drying result. However if you go easy and focus only on the roots you get a result that is lightweight, smooth, frizz-free and shiny - perfect hair in short. I find that it doesn't really… Read more
change colour dramatically. It's strange since every John Frieda product seems to have a different formula and some are really heavy on the silicone which gives a really frizzy result. This one though is just beautiful. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.
Can't squeeze shampoo out of this tube – By the time I had reached half use of this product I was forced to work very hard at squeezing it on my knee in the shower; ultimately unable to use it because of its thickening. Perhaps the product designers will note that the thickness of the shampoo not at all meant for a tube. I ended up tossing it.
Nasty stuff. Does not work. Itchy scalp – Used twice in three days. After first use had itchy scalp but thought little of it. On second use much worse and it didn't make any difference to hair shine and colour either. I would not recommend this product
Itchy scalp, hair falling out! – My first time trying this product. After a week my hair is falling out, and my head itches so bad I have sores... I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something. The only change I made was this product. After reading the reviews now I know the culprit. I never would have thought this Name Brand product would have done this! Do not use this......
Head itchy – I think the new formulation has caused my head to be constantly itchy and my hair is shedding and thinning. Stopped using it, hope its all reversible! Disappointed that i spent around $30 and will need to throw away.
Makes your hair silky soft and shiny!! – I've used both the shampoo and conditioner for years....loved everything about it, always nourishes your hair and leaves it silky soft and smooth and smelling lovely and clean and fresh................until recently it's changed and whilst it still nourishes your hair, the smell is absolutely horrendous......smells like an old man's cheap after… Read more
shave....awful awful awful!!! So bad that I refuse to use it anymore!!!!!!
Sort it out for goodness sake!!!
Hair Nirvana – Love all brunette products! The products do what is advertised! I stopped dying my hair with that came brassy color, not pretty! I use brilliant brunette multi-tone shampoo and cream rinse, once a week cool brunette gloss and twice a week visibly deeper treatment. With these products, I can go grey gracefully!!
Hair shedding! – My hair is falling like crazy. 4 weeks into using the brilliant brunette s&c and my hair is now shedding. The first few weeks were fine and in fact, I loved the product. Now my scalp is itchy and dry and hair is falling. Do not buy this product.
Great! – I have just starting using the "Daily " version of this Shampoo and Conditioner (Brunette multi colour/tone). They both feel great when applying to hair. I found that after applying the conditioner it does leave the roots feeling abit "dry" so after I've washed and towel dried my hair I apply a small amount of "Renewing Moroccan argan oil (brand… Read more
is Organix) mainly to the ends of my hair but also a tiny bit to the roots.
My hair feels shiny, soft, brings out my multi coloured brunette hair colour heaps. Shiny, soft, highlights hair colour heaps Dry at roots after applying conditioner would recommend using a hair oil to assist with this.
Great shampoo – Love the shampoo - it's by far the best available in normal supermarkets. Have been using it for use and only intermittently change to another shampoo when I think it's needed. Would recommend it to any brunettes. Packaging means it's easy to travel with and doesn't spill throughout your luggage. Quality product, reasonably priced
OK – great shampoom leaves hair soft and shiny. Great fragrance and nice consistancy, leaves a redisue in your hair if not rinsed properly. high price for just a supermarket brand amazing fragrance, like coconut. Very nourishing and leaves hair feeling quite soft and conditioned. Hair is left very soft and silky and shiny, the shampoo lathers up very… Read more
well. the conditioner has to be rinsed out for quite a while or the residue is left in your hair. Price, $18 is alot of a shampoo and conditioner available at the supermarket. The bottles break if you drop them in the shower

Good – You get a great shampoo that really brings out a rich brunette shine. You dont need large portions to clean you hair whilst showering. The conditioned effect stays in your hair for a few washes - leaving it tangle free. Its also easily found in most supermarket/hair care/K-mart stores. Its the only stuff I use on my hair! Doesnt weigh your hair… Read more
down with addetives, gives it a really good clean, the conditioner is not "heavy", leaves your hair shiny AND healthy, especially when you wear it out. I have got so many compliments on my hair since I started using it. the price...
Good – The shampoo is great, only need a really small amount and it lathers up quickly. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell awesome and its available in supermarkets, chemists, beauty shops. The conditioner does not really condition my hair all that well though, I find my hair starts to feel dry and course by the end of the day, having washed my… Read more
hair that morning. Also only comes in 1 size, I would like it to come in different sizes as I use more conditioner than shampoo so I find I am running out of the conditioner before the shampoo. Pretty good overall though. hair smells you have just walked out of a salon. bit expensive, and the conditioner could be more nourishing
Excellent – Love the shampoo, not too keen on the conditioner, I felt that it didn't give my hair enough conditioning & I found my hair to be rather dry. lovely shiny hair. the price.
Good – Really love this range, left my hair really refreshed and silky (I have typically oily roots & dry ends). This range is without a doubt the best value for money for brunette hair without spending extreme amounts on kerastase etc. Cost effective, salon results and you can find it at the supermarket! Slightly more expensive then regular hair care brands you'd find at your supermaket - but you get what you pay for.
OK – Its okay for a supermarket brand , BUT i have bought kerastase and now everythigns crap to my liking. Kerastase ruined my cheap buying. It makes your hair soft, close to a salon product and its cheap It isnt a salon product to my liking, I dont like the fact they sell it at supermarkets.. lol im a salon brand buyer, i also dont like the smell
Excellent – A little pricier then most store brought hair products, however it is well worth it. A little bit goes a long way and it does a great job. My hair usually gets oily within 24hours but I found with this shampoo and conditioner I was able to wait 2 days before re washing. Works great, last forever.
Good – This works beautifully on brown hair, and black hair too! It makes my hair super shiny and soft, but I don't think that it's all too suitable for oily hair because hair won't stay shiny for long. It's a very thick and creamy texture. It makes brown and black hair beautiful. You only need a tiny bit every wash. It's a well known and trusted brand.… Read more
They don't make it for black hair, so I just had to use brown instead. It still works well, but I want one for black hair!! :) The price is higher than normal shampoos/conditioners.
Excellent – I bought this shampoo and conditioner to see whether it would make my rather dull dark brown hair shine, and was amazed that it actually did! I have recently stopped using it as it can be expensive and I just cannot justify that amount of money on shampoo and conditioner. If you have the money than I definitely recommend it! Beautiful smell, very… Read more
renowned brand, made my dark brown hair shine beautifully in the sun, a very clean wash, made my hair silky smooth, not much is needed to create a lather, washes out easily and doesn't leave hair oily Can be very expensive and the bottles are rather small
