Johnsons Holiday skin body lotion – Easy to use for natural looking Tan. I recommend you moisturise your legs just prior to applying as this helps to ensure even coverage. I highly recommend this product to everyone. You wont regret it. No one knows I am using this product until I recommend it to them. I always make sure my legs are dry before going to bed. Not sure if would stain the sheets or not. Show details

Stay well clear of Johnson's holiday skin body lotion – I have had the most awful allergic reaction to this product and my legs look like I have meningitis. Not a good look. I was about to bit it when I looked for reviews and was amazed to find that I'm not the only one to have an adverse reaction to this product.

Excellent – I bought this when I was getting married so that I kept a nice tan for the wedding and honeymoon that did not look fake. I would buy it again, it was very easy to use and I think all tanning products have that smell as I have never found one without it. Easy to apply just like putting on moisturiser, lots of lotion in the bottle it lasted a long time. The inevitable smell when the tanning product starts working.

Excellent – I use Holiday skin everyday in summer. It gives my legs a nice tan without looking fake or orange. I find it to be pretty inexpensive compared to other tanning products. It's so easy to use that I won't be swapping tanning products anytime soon. Bottle lasts for ages. Not very expensive. Smell isn't too bad. Easy to apply. Keeps my legs… Read more

mousturised as well as tanned. Gives a good even coverage. Readily available in supermarkets, department stores etc. Like any fake tan it will stain your hands if you don't wash them thoroughly after applying. Takes a little while to build up the colour.

Excellent – Whenever I use this fake tan I get compliments on my healthy looking skin, I never end up looking like an oompa-loompa! Easy to apply and doesn't take too long to dry either. This fake tan in fantastic. I have very light skin, almost translucent!! The nature of this tan allows you to put the lotion on every day and build up an even, gorgeous tan.… Read more

I have never had any issues with it being streaky or clumpy and it comes in multiple shades so should suit most skin types and colours.

Quite easy to find and very cheap. The bottle also lasts for ages. A subtle version of most fake tan smells - but it is still there!

Terrible – I like the concept of this and that it is reasonably priced, however I just can't use it as it gives me acne. I have never had pimples on my back and legs before using this and have tried it a few times thinking maybe it was just a coincidence, but it is definitely the lotion. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone as obviously it has something… Read more

nasty in it that is bad for your skin. Does give you a gradual tan. This is the only lotion, tanning or not, that has made me break out in different areas, mainly my back and legs.

OK – I find I have to use it a few times before I get enough colour but the colour is nice and natural looking. I still have to wipe off my knees and ankles as it will get too dark there like with regular self tanner but because the build up of colour is slow, it is easy to avoid. I find a little goes a long way as well. Good price and works in a… Read more

OK – Only 3 out of 5. Its nice and cheap, acts as a moisteriser and is nicely packaged. However the you will be waiting overnight for it to develop, so be prepared to have to put aside a whole evening devoted to skin care and tanning. Also it is way to slow at drying. It can be quite sticky as well and although the smell is nice you most definitatly… Read more

have change your sheets the day after and wash your PJs as well. The upside to all the hard work, is a nice even colour. The colour is quite nice. Its too slow to develop, and too slow to dry.

Excellent – I believe that everyone should try it. I love this product because it works! It is the first product that has actually made a difference to my skin and it looks so natural that I cannot fault this product at all. stuff. Leaves you with a natural looking tan , and if you are already tanned it leaves skin with a beautiful glow. It smells quite lovely and it has a creamy, smooth texture that goes on to skin easily and evenly. It gradually builds up a tan, so you can stop when you are happy with the result but to prolong the effect it should be used everyday, unless it seems too dark. Well price and comes in a lovely bottle that looks very nice. I love the fact that it moisturises skin while providing a lovely tan and also leaves skin with a light scent that reminds me of the beach. Nothing at all.

Good – Being extremely pale, this product has helped me achieve a nice, healthy-looking skin colour. However, as I have dark hair, eyes and some asian blood, the slight-yellowish tan may not complement all skin types, so I recommend sampling different products before using long term for optimum results. Results in a natural looking colour, moisturizes well, and does not streak easily. Does have a tendency to stain hands if not washed off.

Good – This has been wonderful for my skin tone. I use the one for medium to dark skin, I have a light olice complexion. I use it on my arms every second or third day, and on my legs once a week. I find that if I use it any more than that, it tends to get a little patchy in some areas. I already have a mild natural tan on my arms anyway, so it blends… Read more

really well on that area, but using it on my legs which are not so tanned, I find that it gets patchy fairly quickly. Overall, I love it. After a shower it smells amazing. Nothing like the old tanning lotions. It smells a lot like fresh coconuts. Even result, nice color, gorgeous smell (coconut) does get patchy if used everyday

OK – it needs to be faster drying and have a nicer smell, even though your hands dont go orange when washed afterwards they still smell like tanning products. Leaves a nice even tan, the night one is too strong for fair skin. gives you a gorgeous nice even colour. The tan is very gradual so you dont wake up orange all of a sudden. Great price and now… Read more

Excellent – This is a great tan, slowly builds up to a nice even colour. It only takes a couple of days to start the colour. You dont have to worry about waking up witha tandoori tan as even an extra coat here and there will only slightly change your colour. I have tried many other tans and this is my favourite This is a just like a moisturiser, builds up to… Read more

a beautiful tan in just a couple of days. There are 2 different size bottles, smaller one great to take on holiday and big one at home for everyday use. I find the price to be relatively cheap. no problems

Excellent – I believe this is one of the best moisturises ever, which also provides a slight tan. My legs are no longer ghostly white nor are they a fake orange colour, they are just perfect. I keep trying other brands and I keep coming back to buying this product. I don't know what I bother trying other brands. Lovely coconut smell. It moisturises my shaved… Read more

legs really well, makes them feel so soft and silky. Also I think that price is very cheap for this great product Make sure you apply it evenly or it will come out in patches. To maintain the desired tan, you have to applied it every second day.

OK – I like the way this moisturises the skin at the same time as providing a gradual tan, but the scent really got to me. I also found it was easier to get coverage that was complete if you applied twice a day, or at least once. Even missing a day I found it got a little bit patchy and dappled, which was a bit gross. The price is pretty decent, but… Read more

without continued application the tan fades and patches really fast. Colour cover is pretty even and gradual, which means you can control the darkness of the tone. Fades pretty quickly, the scent is kind of coconut/tropical and is a bit overpowering.

Excellent – Great for a gradual tan and gives you a look that is more natural instead of orange and fake. Lasts quite a while, smells ok and is very cheaply priced. the other products do. Would definitely recommend Johnson's holiday skin for an all year round tan. Great overall finish and appearence. Smells good cheaply priced. Nothing really i think this is one of the best gradual tanners for fairer skin.

Good – What stuck me first was how good it smells compared to other self-tanning products. To my mind, some other products can smell a little like freshly-baked biscuits...not exactly a bad scent, but it can be overpowering! What I liked about Holiday Skin was that it applied well and didn't look uneven when it had set in...no streaking or fingerprints.… Read more

However, you definitely have to let it set for 30 minutes or more. I made the mistake of pulling on a pair of trackies to go for a run (stupid, I know) straight afterwards, and it ran off a little with the sweat...not good. Great scent, applies easily, looks natural :) Can 'run' if you don't follow the instructions on the label!

Terrible – I don't think this product is for everyone as even if your skin is not "sensitive" as everyone I know that has used it has had a reaction. Good – I enjoyed the tan this moisturizers builds up. Does not leave my skin looking orange like other which I am happy about. effective and great for those who don't suffer reactions. A nice natural looking tan that gradually develops. Does not turn your skin orange like other products. Suits your skin tone better than an all over spray tan. The smell is off putting for me, I think I much more prefer a 'cream' fragerence than this one. Not good for sensitive skin.

OK – Great product if your after a gradual tanning solution. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully, that means washing your hands straight after you have applied it unless you want orange palms! Its not good for people with sensitive skin as I noticed a friend of mine got a rash from using it. So maybe do a test spot before you buy. It also comes in fairer or darker which I like too. Cheap It smells horid

OK – I bought this to try after reading all of the hype and marketing in magazines. It wasn't brilliant yet wasn't terribly bad either. Bad – I was given this product for free some time ago and while I thought that it would be a great idea in the end I forgot about it and never used it again. Bad – My skin is very pale, and this product did take the edge off the bright whiteness. The gradual application does result in an even coverage, however when it starts to fade you need to take a few days break and exfoliate, or it can become patchy. On my fine skin it did have a slight orange tinge, but because it was light it wasn't so noticeable. It… Read more

was actually annoying having to apply it everyday; spending so long rubbing it in properly and then putting up with the smell. I didn't finish my first bottle and I probably wouldn't buy it again. Buildable so suitable for pale skin. Slight yellow/orange tinge, typical fake tan smell, annoying to have to apply it every day.

Bad – Okay tanning if you don't mind the smell. There are better tanning lotions out there. I definately won't be using it again. Okay colour. bottle lasted for a long time. Good – I have tried many many other products. OK – A quick and mess-free method of achieving a very subtle fake tan, however I would not recommend regular usage due to product build up on the skin and the smell. Terrible – I first thought this product was great because it was cheap for a "fake tan". I have bought two bottles now, one of the original bottles and one of the "new improved" ones. the new, improved product might have a better fragrance but I found it exactly the same. It's a pretty good product moisture wise but can sting if you apply it too soon after shaving. Bad – This was the first self-tanning moisturiser that I ever tried because it was one of the very affordable ones in the stores and the marketing to go with it was pretty full on. colour at all after a week of applying the lotion. As a moisturiser it hydrates well. It stains your hands even after you wash them after applying the lotion and the fragrance has that tell tale tanning lotion smell.

What I disliked the most was the fact that the lotion didn't absorb well into my skin and after further rubbing it began to turn crumbly in my hands and flake off altogether. The last thing I wanted to do was have bits of dried up lotion on my clothes so I had to towel off the excess dried bits beforehand.
