Worst shape for newborns
Unfortunately this seat was awful I purchased it from babybunting I put my daughter in it and her head was so close to her chest it is quite a sharp angle, I had the rep out and she removed some of the padding but again she was still sitting in an awkward uncomfortable position.
I purchased this to go on my uppababy vista which when I went into a babybunting store the lady who worked there told me to never use it again as it tilted the seat even further forward.
The seat is also quite heavy but I was willing to overlook that.
This seat is not approved by uppababy even tho it fits on the pram beware I was told different in store.
Severely disappointed at the cost for such a poorly designed product.
Purchased in December 2018 for A$450.00.
Easy to use and amazing quality. If you want a capsule that is going to worth your money then I would get this one!. The quality is fantastic, it's not overly large and it lasts longer than other capsules on the market as it's an A2 capsule. My son lasted 17 months inside his, he could have lasted till about 20 months but I decided to switch him to another extended rearfacing seat at that time. I will be using my IGEM for my new baby who is due in a July and wouldn't want to use anything else honestly.
Loved the chair, at first...
Great chair, very snug fit around the baby.
A little bit large sat on the back seat, but very easy to install once used to it.
The product then had a recall for safety issues. Joie made no contact with us. I tried to contact them, but their phone numbers didnt work. Once I made contact, their customer service team were rude and extremely short.
Have a look at the Nuna Pip - same chair, better service.
It great now at 3 months
I purchase the joie i gemm as it look safe with all the padding and won't jossle around too much. As a newborn it was so hard to watch her sit in there, as it curves up and looks like her chin is pushed down towards her chest. But I had persevere as a new born has not built their neck muscles yet so it looks like they're uncomfortable.
Once my baby could hold her head up, the seat was better and she was happier in it. I removed the head cushion piece on the snug insert at 4 months old as she wanted turn her head and see the world more.
Love...the big canopy. It easy to take in and out of the car and attach it to the pram. It is slightly on the heavier side and a bit big, The front passenger seat has been pushed up. Can't have a tall person in front. Someone who is 5'3 or 156cm can seat comfortably if you have a small suv/car.

Practical and functional
Safe and easy to install. Comfortable for little one with an extendable hood. Converts to a travel system for most prams with the addition of adapters (also comparable with Maxi cosi adaptors). Added benefit of 0-12 months for a capsule.
Stylish but very Awkward in/out
Received this as a gift for my baby shower. It is convenient, but I assume all capsule are. This is a stylish capsule but it is very awkward getting Bub in and out of it. The sides of the head rest are restrictive and without the foam padding is actually quite hard and looks so uncomfortable for Bub. My 9 week old Bub also has a tendency to curve her head forward with her chin almost resting on her Chest which I feel is not very ergonomic.
Looks good. Easy to use daily and install.
Safe. Easy to install. Sunshade a great bonus. Adapters needed on most prams. We have a joolz hub and needed them. Heavier than a maxi cosi citi but still Aok to transfer house to car to pram etc.
Purchased the Joie iGemm before the birth of our baby. The capsule has been exceptionally convenient for us as our baby falls asleep easily in the car and we are able to get her in and out of the car without waking her. I’ve found it quite easy to clip in and out of the car even through I’m a slight build and not particularly strong. The capsule is compatible with our redsbaby Jive pram with adapters and I use the capsule in the pram quite often. The sunshade is great for keeping the sun off baby or for privacy if asleep. Has a great safety rating on the CREPS website and best of all my baby seems happy and content when in it. I’ve only had it a few months but I feel confident it will get us through to 12 months as the product suggests.
Do not purchase
This capsule has a major design fault
Where you adjust the straps there is a plastic lip that is right at baby feet
She has hurt her heals a number of times
I did get in contact with Joie and their solution was to put foam tape over it
Band aid fix
Nope happy at all
Comfy, safe and stylish
I bought this capsule after I had been using a maxi cosi for four weeks, we live in an apartment and having a capsule system makes life simple coming and going up and down stairs. I don’t consider myself super strong and don’t find it an issue to carry. I wanted a capsule that fit my pram (Redsbaby Metro) and would last to 12 months as the maxi cosi felt tight at 4 weeks
My son is now 65th percentile at 11 months and still fits the capsule comfortably
So happy with this purchase, it’s safe, it’s stylish and practical

My partner and I purchased the Joie i-Gemm capsule before the birth of our baby girl late last year. We are extremely happy with our purchase. We love the colour of the capsule as it looks so stylish. We always get compliments on the capsule. We like the option of the zip open sun shade to allow some air flow into the capsule. The capsule comes with a removable newborn insert and it was handy to be able to remove the head and body separately. We use our capsule with capsule adapters on our pram and love the convenience. Would highly recommend.
