AVOID THESE SNEAKY SCAMMERS! Very simple: I’m lucky I only spent $39.60 on Joom more than a month ago, because nothing has arrived. They sent shipping notifications, Tracking numbers. When I checked my Joom account, the entire account had disappeared. gone. I click "Lost my password" put my email address in and click send. It then says a recovery email has been sent to the email and I receive nothing!
So, I go to the “Help” section on their website. There are no contact details, no phone number, no real support. Just a list of preset questions. My issue isn’t on the list, so I click “Can’t find my question,” and it just loops me straight back to the same useless list.
I had to use AI just to find an email address. I emailed them, and what do I get? An automated reply telling me to “contact Joom through the website.” So, they send you in circles. It is literally impossible to reach a real person. They clearly want to remain uncontactable.
I am a real customer. My order number is DVV72GJD. I also admin two very large disability websites, and my view is simple:
Any online shop that hides its contact details and makes itself unreachable should never be given a 100% trust rating on ScamAdviser.
WARNING ! Do not purchase anything from Joom. There is absolutely zero way to contact them, return anything, exchange anything - just nothing. There is not even any way to contact them for any reason. I ordered a pair of shoes and they are way too big. It took me ages to figure out how to ask for a return/refund (so sketchy) and when I submitted the request I got an email saying "we should be able to get back to you WITHIN 8 WEEKS!! ). Seriously! There is no way to follow up with anything on their website so I would avise you to NOT ourchase anything at all on Joom. Use Temo, Amazon or Shein as they all have excellent returns systems in place.
I ordered a computer mouse which was supposed to be delivered between Feb 24 and March 1. The order was placed on Feb 13 but wasnt even despatched till March 1st. In the meantime I was told there was a delay and delivery would happen by March 14 at the latest.
I received 14 parcel tracking updates over the next 5 days and then NOTHING!!!! the last update was on March 6 with my order STILL in China.
However, Joom has NO system to chase up orders to see what has happened. When I did manage to send a message telling them what had happened (or not happened to be more precise) I got a reply that ignored the specifics of my case and just reiterated the parcel was on its way.
And the best part, I can not even apply for a refund despite it not turning up, until sometime in May, and then I have to notify them within a specific two week period!! They will THEN take up to 2 weeks to refund me!
Do NOT use this company. The slightly lower price does not cover the frustration of slow or NO delivery, or of having no way to get any sort of customer service.
Chinese companies are pretty much all the same, either shoddy quality or non-existent service.
Follow-up · Apart from the TERRIBLE customer service, which was LESS than useless, they lie from the start. On the website it appears the orders come from Latvia, yet the company is based in China which is where everything comes from - EVENTUALLY! When they first advised there had been a delay, I wasn't allowed to cancel the order, even though it hadnt been despatched yet, so obviously they KNOW they are giving out false information in regards to despatch of their orders as so few leave on time, or arrive on time. They appear to have a built in NO cancellation policy. I think I can say dishonesty is the only thing Joom do well!!! I would NEVER order from them again and in fact the experience has ensured I would think twice before buying from any Chinese company in the future.
