Doesnt get hot enough – Despite pre heating the plate didn’t get enough to bbq 4 steaks. Maybe it would be better if the heat element was closer or they used a cast iron plate… Still it’s a low enough price to play around to decide if u wanna get serious about bbq’ing. I will be using this for sosej’s going fwd and getting a new plate for steaaaaks. Show details

Don't waste your time or money on such rubbish – Absolutely no rating. The worst cooking aparatus l have ever used. No heat. Sausages look like they have boiled. Bacion doesn't brown. Onions won't brown. Don't waste your time or money on such rubbish. Show details

Absolute Junk – Don't buy one, they are rubbish. The overall design is ok, but they paint the hotplate with some kind of paint that peels off when it gets hot! You end up with a paint blistered surface and your suppose to cook your food on it? The first time I used it, I could not believe they would make and sell a BBQ that leave bits of black paint through your… Read more

food! Its a good size and everything else seems ok, but black specs of crap on your food from the hotplate does not sit well with me. Absolute rubbish so don't waste your money!!!!!

Doesn’t Get Hot – Took it to the beach, it wouldn’t get got enough to cook sausages. Put some wind breaks around it and it got a little better. Folding legs not engineered to fold flat, requiring disassembly to get the bbq back in the car boot. Re-engineer the legs and provide some wind guard and maybe it may be reasonable.  Show details

No better than a bay marie – The burners are so weak that the plate only gets warm enough to cook and egg in 15 minutes. Steak stewed itself in its juices and I put the steak directly over the burners... Rubbish bbq. I took it back to Bunnings for a refund after a massive argument where the expert told me that they are only really good for sausages and then went to Barbeques… Read more

Galore, bought on that was almost identical for $30 more and I had to turn the burners down as to not burn everything... Much better

Very impressed – Easy to use bbq very satisfied, although we would have loved a lid we use it every week in our small courtyard of our apartment but we can take away if we want, perfect.  Show details

Cooks but has flaws – This bbq is not the one that was advertised on the BCF website, from which it was ordered. The structure is the same but the branding is not. The bbq cooks fine if a little too enthusiastically. It isn't very safe as the flame is open underneath and a pet or small child could easily get set alight. The fat collector bucket is tiny and doesn't stay… Read more

in place so alternative means need to be used to catch the grease from cooking. The bbq does not fold as described. The legs are screwed tightly in place. There are no hinges. It would have to be taken apart to move it easily. On the whole we were pretty disappointed with the whole deal. BCF have ignored my feedback.

Great size cooking area for a small BBQ – I cannot understand how anyone could have a bad opinion of this BBQ. I didn't experience any toxic smell. The hot plate heats perfectly & quickly. Easy to assemble. The legs do fold down for portability. You just have to adjust them so that they lie on either side of each other. It's really a great little BBQ!  Show details

Good little bbq shame there is no option to buy a lid – We have now purchased 5 of these little bbqs and they perform really well, very economical on gas useage and cook really well with even dispersal of heat on the plate. Our only criticism is there is no option to buy a lid, and they are very hard to keep free of dust and debris for this reason if kept outside. We would not buy them again for this reason but would opt for the same brand but with a lid.  Show details

Worst money ever spent – Bought one from Bunnings Footscray Victoria 3 days ago. used twice. Meat was boiled (not babecued). The burner was too far fromt the plate and the plate did not heat up. The hot plate was full of water from the meat. Took it back for refund. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PRODUCT.

Great BBQ – This is a great BBQ The first thing you have to do is burn the plate to get rid of the non-toxic paint Wich you have to do with all barbecues I burned the plate for one hour first night and another hour second night and The Barbie plate was very hot from the very first time It's a good little barbecue for camping folds away for easy access All in all good barbecue four stars Big enough to cook a lot of food but small enough to be compact

Very disappointed – We bought the barbie over the internet as we live quite a distance from any major town, and wanted a cheap barbie that was compact to take camping. As they say "you get what you pay for". The gas burner tube is about 3" from the thin barbie plate and takes a long time to heat the plate. It is open underneath and the flame floats around a lot, we… Read more

had it on for 30 minutes and the sausage was still not cooked. It is coated in a "non toxic paint, to protect it during transport" and this comes off over time. It smelt terrible. The burners are stainless steel but the plate is not. If I can contact the manufacturers, I will suggest changes to improve the performance. Looks good, compact, inexpensive Takes a long time to heat, uses a lot of gas
