A nice little unit if you're not in a hurry for food – It takes ages to heat the hot plate! After ten minutes on full gas we can't cook an egg well... Twenty minutes, sure, but it's still much slower than simply putting the induction cooker on. The heat doesn't spread evenly but looking down inside it's easy to see why. Just need to adjust your positioning or let some fat drip so it flares up It was… Read more

fairly easy to assemble and, being so small, is easy to hide away when we're not using it and even put in the carport when we have a cyclone.

You get what you pay for, I guess. We paid $99 and it's surprisingly good quality (once you overtighten everything), just... Inefficient. Guess we have a good backup for blackouts, though!

Caught fire!! – On the second use OMG it was horrific, the tray under the burners was on fire with flames shooting a good 2 ft into the air!!!!!! I’ve read other reviews the same since buying and needs to be taken off the market!!!!! I am waiting for a response about this and I urge people to steer clear for their own safety until this issue is addressed  Show details

Great little BBQ, easy to use and clean – Does the job. Small enough for verandah. Big enough for three of us. I use it a lot for breakfast as well. Wait til cools then take plates into kitchen to wash. Wipe it out inside. Ready to use again. Easy. Very happy with this BBQ. Easy to use and easy to clean.  Show details

excellent for small families – This bbq must be assembled correctly and the grill and hotplate needs to be primed as per the directions to burn off the hot plate coating. Love this bbq, I live in a townhouse with a covered outdoor area and this unit is perfect for what I want. Quite complicated to assemble but if you have an engineer for a son, no worries.  Show details

Hot plate paint peeled of in 2 weeks – Not happy. Purchased 2 weeks ago and the coating for the hot plate is peeling off. I rang Bunnings and apparently this is normal. NOT. Do not buy this dodgy BBQ. Also it unsafe. Blah blah bla bla. Very wobbly even though screws were done up tight. Bla bla bla  Show details

Good little portable – Light to carry, reasonable heat production, easy to clean. Pretty good so far, cooked 28 bacon and egg breakfasts for a group the other week-end. Pretty good in windy conditions. Well thought out, designed and put together. Good on you guys. Let's see how long the plates coating lasts.. Its a cracker – Saw this BBQ on sale at Kmart for $59 and couldn't go past it. It was refreshing to have instructions that you can actually read, easy to put together and cooks really well. You have to realise that this is a cheap BBQ so don't expect $1000 BBQ results but I have had no problems with it, for me it cooks well and is a great Bargain.

Brilliant! Roasts beautifully! – Not sure why the complaints. I received one of these for Christmas, so decided to roast a 2 Kilo chicken as a test run. Started with both burners on high, with the lid down, then after about 10 minutes put the chicken (in a foil baking tray) on the hot plate. After another 15 minutes I moved it to the rack side and put sausages on the hot plate,… Read more

turning heat down to about half. I turned the sausages until all sides were cooked, total about 20 minutes, keeping the lid down when not turning them. I removed the sausages and turned the heat down to 1/4 then left the chicken until cooked. Full cooking time approx. 1 hour 50 mins.

There was no stewing and definitely plenty of heat. I think the key is to keep the lid down while actually cooking and building the heat before gradually turning to a required heat. The chicken is cooked to perfection, no burning and tastes amazing. Oh, and the sausages were perfect too!

Fat catcher – The fat catcher is miles away from the hole in the hot plate. Therefore there is grease and fat all over the base of the unit . Dodgy

Cheap and Nasty! – So disappointed in this BBQ, more like a slow cooker.... The hot plate does not get hot enough to BBQ food. Regardless of price you should be able to cook a meal with it, Priced at $129.00 I expected more from it.... I had this BBQ for some months before opening. When I went to put it together the knobs were missing.... Think twice before… Read more

purchasing this item.

The knobs were missing. It does not heat up enough to cook on, it just stews the food.

the worst bbq i have ever used – Well it was cheap,,,and that is the only plus for this so called BBQ,it would ne quicker to cook over a lighted candle,if your thinking about buying it,,,,,Don,t It was easy to assemble without any problems all the parts where there,i just wished i had read the reviews before i made my purchase. Price Does not produce much heat on the plate, and as for the grill side its useless

Is this really sold as a BBQ? – Should a VERY wobbly BBQ be on the market ? Is it safe? It is not engineered to even stand up straight. Very disappointing. No wonder there was no display model on dispaly. It does NOT cook in a reasonable time, it warms. I am taking it back to Bunnings for my money back. The size is good for a small space. Wobbles badly- DANGEROUS. No fat tray. TINY fat collection pot!

Its warms not cooks – The build quality was very average, but is expected for the price range. I thought that this would be a nice addition to my balcony, its very compact and great for where space is at a premium. Got this for a steal at $49.95. Quite simply however the BBQ dose not get nearly hot enough. Put a plate of marinated chicken on after letting it heat up… Read more

for about 10 mins, it sizzled for about 5 seconds then it seemed that all the heat has been sucked out of the plate. After a few minuted, turned over and my chicken was still pink. In the end i had to go inside and finish the job on my stove with a fry pan. Compact size, good price. Simply dose not get hot enough to even cook food. Unless maybe you are cooking one sausage and are prepared to be there a while.

It's garbage – I bought this as I wanted something smaller for my new deck. I had already owned a couple of 4 burner Jumbucks in the past that did the job well and eventually rusted ,but for the price I didn't care. $99.00 for this unit is insanely cheap from Bunnings and I wanted a flat plate primarily as this is what I am used to. Basically this bbq doesnt get… Read more

up to heat on the flatplate. Second time I used it, I left it on high for 20 mins and sealed the first side of the steak but it stewed when flipped. Also this is on the very small oval area in the middle of the plate that gets anywhere hot enough. The front and edges of the flatplate are just a joke. After reading lots of reviews, it seems clear that 1 plate needs 2 burners underbeath it to bring it up to temperature and other 2 burner brands suffer from a similar lack of heat where one plate only has one linear burner. I like having the option of cremation. good price uneven heat and not hot enough.

Honest BBQ that does the job – This BBQ is I guess like many others - it BBQs. It was easy to assemble and does the job - no more no less. Simple design, functional and works well
