No thanks – Yeah nah!! Fat tray is very shallow and all of a sudden you have fat all over your new verandah. It often catches fire inside as the fat drips straight onto the burners. Time for a new BBQ Show details

Caught fire first use – Bolt holes did not line up. two blots did fit. Once it was together the Lid caught on fire and now all the paint has burnt off. Don’t waste your money, invest in a better BBQ. No help from jumbuck. Show details

Good size, quality burners. Generates a heat too hot for the shell to handle resultingin blistering and flaking of shell – Its not easier not harder. Generally what you would expect. Consists of removable plates to assist with the clean and the ‘non stick’ functionality is a little on the nose. Show details

Paint Caught Fire! These Need To Be Recalled And Pulled From Shelves! – I just needed a cheap barby for quick meals and when I don't want to fire up the smoker. I really wish I had read the reviews here before I bought it - would have saved me very nearly burning my house down! Worked ok the first 3 times. It had some obvious hotter and cooler cooking areas, but nothing unexpected from a budget barby and was quite… Read more

happy with it overall, considering the price.

4th time using it: I fired it up and was letting it get warm as usual. About 10 minutes in, I saw some flames toward the back of it and so I quickly ran over and shut off the gas at the bottle, thinking the grease tray must have caught somehow (although I'd only used it 3 times before, so that was unlikely). Just as I was about to investigate the source, black sooty smoke and big flames shot up from the back and over the hood! I thought to myself "this is not grease!" and, knowing the hose was only 10 steps away, ran to grab it. I came back to find the paint on the top and front of the hood itself was now on fire as well! A couple of quick shots with the hose and it was out. My entire backyard was covered in a thick haze of black smoke and the chemical smell from the burned paint was putrid, buring my nose and throat.

I'm left with a BBQ and deck that is covered in 100's of little flakes of burned paint/soot and blackish water stains from putting it out. Awesome...

Calling Bunnings and the manufacture, and probably consumer affairs. I advise the others to do the same.

Avoid this BBQ!!!

Fire Hazard – the BBQ itself is ok, as long as it isn't too windy I havent had any issues, works well enough for the price I've had it for nearly 2 years BUT was cooking a roast on the weekend the the hood itelf managed to catch and the whole thing went up in flames, seems like the paint coating itself is flamable which is very dangerous Show details

Great little beginners BBQ – Bought this little gem at bunnings for $199 and works a treat so far. Fairly easy to assemble and very sturdy once set up. Only fault would be that after cleaning it once the jumbuck logo and white symbols near around the knobs wipe off easily. But all and all pretty decent BBQ so far. Will be using this for my next get together!  Show details

Used 3 times and third time the painted sides and base burst into flames – We used the BBQ twice very successfully (cleaned it down afterwards); however, the third time whilst cooking 2 large fish; the fat caught fire as often happens; but suddenly the painted frame caught fire with black acrid smoke bellowing all over. We had to throw water to quench the flames. Letter in the post to advise  Show details

Not bad – We bought this bbq as a replacement to a top chef bbq and it does the job but that's about it. I had to drill out the burners to get more flame as it is so slow other wise that it literally takes for ever to cook a steak but with one size bigger holes in the burners it works a lot better .Not bad but not good either  Show details

Great BBQ even better price – This BBQ works great comes at a great price. It isn't the easiest BBQ to clean but a bit of elbow grease gets the job done. All in all I'm very very happy with it it's a cheap BBQ but it feels solid not like it's going to fall apart.  Show details

Great little bbq – Very easy to put together and use. Great range of products for this bbq. Good covers range as well. Also can get a pizza oven to use on top of bbq, that cook the pizza so we’ll. So all great and easy to store away. Just keep it under cover with a cover over them  Show details

Birthday BBQ – Takes a bit of heat to cook the food and it doesn't heat all the way to the edges. It says it's a cast iron plate but the coating is peeling, so a bit of crap there. Drips alot of the oil over the gas bottle. It is an el cheapo, but don't false advertise re. cast iron plates.  Show details

Great BBQ! – We got it for Christmas last year and it has really had a work out! It is small enough to fit perfectly on our patio but big enough to cook up a big feed for the fam and guests! We love our jumbuck BBQ! Best present we've gotten in a long long time!  Show details

Perfect BBQ for the family – Very satisfied with performance. Easy to use. Will assemble easily if you read the instructions carefully. Enough bolts and nuts to keep the BBQ steady. Strong construction. My wife enjoyed cooking her chest nuts on it. BBQ meat and garlic bread came out great. Tasted great, cooked evenly. My wife and mum love the way it looks. My wife also enjoyed assembling some parts of it. Love it. We are all happy with it.  Show details

JUMBUCK 4 burner "ARDENT" from Bunnings is Awful! Doesn't cook, poor quality – I previously owned an older Jumbuck 4 burner so purchased this unit from Bunnings as a replacement. It is nothing like my old Jumbuck!! It takes 3 times as long to cook, parts wobble. I'd return it if it didn't take 4 hours to put together - Avoid! BUT - Customer Support tried to address issue.  Show details

Powdercoat isn't heat resistant – I've owned this bbq for about a month and it's performed great over the Christmas season up until now. For general barbecuing duties it's fine, but today I decided to do a roast in it with the hood down and burners on low. When I came out an 30 mins later to check on it, the powdercoat on the hood was bubbling and blistering with the heat. Being a… Read more

barbecue, I would have thought the exterior would be a heat resistant powdercoat (capable of temperatures of over 400C) but obviously not. The temp gauge was sitting at around 260C. I would warn anyone looking to buy this bbq, not to. Very disappointed
