Hot plate cracked – The hotplate cracked while seasoning, within about 20mins of use. The instructions are to heat for 30 mins on low. Won't get another one and will return to Bunnings today. Show details

Get what you pay for – This barbie is honestly junk. But at the same time it only cost 80 bucks or something. The cage that is supposed to fit between the legs just doesn't. It is too large so it just sort of dangles there. My biggest complaint though is that the edge of the plate barely heats up at all. All the heat is in the middle of the BBQ, so you can only cook… Read more

like 2 steaks at a time before you have to move them around. I will admit that it does actually cook a pretty good steak in the middle. It tends to burn sausages as there is no gas regulator. Not the easiest to light. The oil drain constantly gets blocked so the plate fills with oil and you need a toothpick to clear it. Other reviewers complained about the plate being poor quality and shedding material but I haven't personally experienced that. I will also admit that it has held up quite well. Unlike other jackaroo/jumbuck BBQs I've owned the burner hasn't rusted or worn out.

All in all I wouldn't buy another one. It is OK for an occasional camping BBQ (which is what I think it's meant for). Anything else, buy something better, as it's also too small to cook on for more than about 2-3 people.

Piece of crap – Terrible product the only positive was the cook plate. The legs broke on the third day , the burner is as hard to set as trying to herd cats. It’s either belting flames out the side of the plate or as dim as a miners lamp. Ended up keeping the plate and donating the rest to scrap. Show details

Had to return ours. Terrible product – We replaced an older Jumbuck portable round BBQ with the latest model. Hopeless. In the new model the burner ring is very close to the centre, everything burns in the middle & doesn’t cook on the outer of the plate. On the 3rd use of the bbq the PLATE CRACKED. The new model has no ignition switch either. Is it bad luck. Or are products made cheaper and nastier. More junk adding to the environment. Show details

First BBQ and it's good – Got this on special at Ray's Outdoors, should have bought a couple of them as spare and gifts! We enjoy using our little Jumbuck when a mate visits from the big city or at home alone. We have used it for mutton birds too. For the price paid, it's perfect.  Show details

Great little portable BBQ – Got this as an early Kris Kringle present and it's ended up being great! Use it for picnics and even a day out at the races, we had people from all over coming up for sausages. No bells & whistles, but simple and super portable.
