Jump Off It! – I will never use this voucher system again. I bought a voucher to a day spa that I did not know was only open between 9am and 5pm weekdays and seeing as I work I could not attend (what day spa isn't open at least one night a week or on the weekend?). Jump On It did not advertise the opening hours and told me I should have checked the fine… Read more
print on the Day Spa's website - what a misleading and deceptive practice! They refused to refund my cash and I will neveruse them again. What a shameful way to earn a living Jump On It crew....
If you are a business I would NOT do business with this company. Shonky, shonky, shonky – We are a small business who were charmed into running a deal with Jump On It/Living Social. We hesitated for months and months before finally agreeing to go ahead. The promotion, although run at below cost and due to the large volume extremely hard work, was a success and we got a lot of repeat business. However, now that the promotion has… Read more
finished Jump On It/Living Social is evading paying their final invoice. They won't return any of our emails or phone calls. They owe us thousands. We worked so hard and on top of that at a loss to deliver an exceptional service to the people who bought deals. If you are a business I would NOT do business with this company. Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. Promoted our business Won't pay our final installment now the promotion is over - they owe us thousands be warned
Wont give a refund for a company that does not exist – I purchased a deal for a hairdressing service called Appassionata. The mobile number on the voucher did not answer so I looked up their details and called a landline number (I thought it was strange that I was given a mobile number to start with). I called the landline number and struck a answering machine. Left numerous messages. Never received a… Read more
reply. Went around to the address listed on the JOI voucher. It is another hairdresser and they were closed so went around to another address I found and it says Appassionata but was closed down with a for lease sign on the window.
Emailed JOI. Was told to try another mobile number. Did that. No answer. Sent a text asking for a call back. Nothing. Phoned JOI and was told that they had other complaints and that they were "investigating" them and that I could not have a refund whilst the company was under investigation WT??? Told to call back in 1-2 weeks. Did that and was told that I had been refunded back onto my JOI account. Asked what the update on the "investigation" was. Told it was irrelevant to me as I had received a credit into my JOI account and he wouldn't tell me. I was told that I could not have a refund as I had received a credit instead. I said that there was nothing else that I wanted to purchase from them and that I wanted refund. Bailey (the guy I spoke to) said no and was really rude. I asked to speak to a manager. He refused that request too. I said well I haven't received the goods that I paid for an am therefore entitled to a refund. He told me that it cannot be reversed. Nothing as paid for a service that did not exist Sold a service that does not exist, rude and argumentative, wont refund and trying to keep my money
Fraud is their business and they are good at it – Once you have bought the voucher, there never is a website that they give you that you can validate your voucher. I have spent 2 months trying to track down an item which I am continuously being told will be delivered "next week", but never is. I have been told on numerous occasions for this item, that the operator will track it down and give me a… Read more
return call which never happened and when I requested a refund the operator hung up on me.
Jump on it is a business that should be named and shamed for their fraudulent dealings. absolutely nothing absolutely everything. no service, no reliable information, no truthful answers
Sell a service from a company that bankrupt – Jumponit sells me a voucher from a company that has gone bankrupt. When I call them asking for my money back. It is take 3 phonecalls over 3 weeks before they agree to return my money. Very inefficent. I would not buy anything from them again as they can not guarrenty the service that they are sellling Very inefficent, does not want to refund money even the company has gone bankrupt
Not the best online seller but ok for some items – I have bought from a number of these online companies and I have now read some of the reviews. I bought a 12 month subscription to Reader's Digest. I bought it as it is a well known company and didn't feel much could go wrong. What happens is once you pay over your money, you are issued with a coupon redemption code and told to go onto the website… Read more
(in this case, Reader's Digest website) to redeem the purchase. I must admit, I was sitting back waiting for these to arrive, till I rechecked the voucxher and found I had to order them online. They are now arriving. I have bought from other companies where products are dispatched automatically once you purchase and I don't see why that couldn't be the case with a simple magazine subscription. Once I did order, the magazine arrived promptly. The key here is that Reader's Digest is a reliable company. I also pay via paypal. If things go wrong, I would be able to claim against the online seller. If more buyers did that, the online daily deal companies might lift their game. Easy to purchase, goods arrived, no worries, but only on redemption of a voucher. This was a two pronged purchase. Once I purchased from Jump on it, I then had to go online with my voucher to the Reader's digest site and put in my order there. Why should it work this way? Why can't Jump on it forward on all the orders? I get the impression these online companies are really just onselling goods and services and at the moment, they don't check out some of the sellers and there isn't a lot of accountability. My advice is to check out what company the goods are coming from before you buy and to pay via paypal. I knew Reader's Digest was reputable and had no trouble. Also check prices as I think some items, if you read the ads, say the product is 'like' one on TV, so the RRP is exaggerated..
Absolute Rubbish – Had a very bad experience with Sweet Infinity through a Jump On It voucher. Bought a voucher to a cooking class at Sweet Infinity Bakery through Jump On It. Absolute rubbish. We were supposed to be doing a cooking class for flourless chocolate cakes, it was just a demonstration by a chef there. The food was dry and uninspiring. Most of… Read more
the recipe was pre-prepared so even the demo was brief. Our interaction consisted of pouring the mixture into cupcake moulds. Then using a piping bag to put on the pre-made icing.
The demonstration was for cupcakes, we didn't make cakes.
The class duration was 1.5 hours as opposed to the advertised 3 hours.
We were supposed to receive 'take home menu cards, goodies and more'. What we got was 2 A4 pieces of paper with the cake and icing recipe with little detail and poorly written. We took home some of the cupcakes (goodies?), and no more.
It was for $79 with Jump On it and the bakery saying it was work $300. To pay $79 for this class was a gross overcharge, to say it is usually $300 is outrageous.
They refused to acknowledge the full complaint and in the end we got no refund, only got a credit with Jump On It (we don't want to use Jump On It again).
Misleading offers – Bought a certain deal which would give $15 worth of food for $5 but when I went to redeem, supplier gave me $5 worth of cold, horrible cold food. JOI were not friendly nor great at my concerns. Sometimes has good offers.. sometimes - and it is part of the LivingSocial comp Refunds are a bit of a tedious process
Rude – Well after ordering with Ozthongs not only was the Ozthongs website slow, but also unclear. Where you had to enter your code it used different terminology to Jumponit voucher and then when I asked their staff which code to enter they told me the wrong one. After over a month my voucher was declined because the code was wrong. I then asked Jumponit… Read more
to please refund me as Ozthongs was not helping (I had sent multiple emails and none of them were responded to)- they told me it was my fault I entered the wrong code. They also sent me this offensive email saying how successful Ozthongs was and as a consequence there would be delays in my order. Compared to websites such as Ouffer their deals suck and they don't work. Simply they shouldnt be dealing with companies that cant get their shit together and should give accurate advice on their chat system.
bad service - didnt reply to emails and gave me the wrong information
horrible customer service – ive used other such sites too this is the first time i used it...bought a hair value package( 40$ for $140 value of colour, cut, treatment)...they made the voucher seemed soooo good like u can choose any colour under the sun etc etc. I went to salon n they asked me to pay another 115$ if i want colour as my hair is just below my shoulders. its not… Read more
even thick. so basically i got a cut n treatment for $4o. The voucher misled me. normally i get my cut for 15$ by the awesome salon at the valley. what a waste of money and what a ridiculous way to do business.
customer service: when i explained the situation n when out of my surprise i asked 'so a cut n colour for normal length hair would cost close to $255?' he goes ' im not the hair stylist so i wouldnt know' like asif i didnt know that. He was completely unhelpful and couldnt even calm me down as an unsatisfied customer altough he did admit its a techinique of coning customers into buying more so they can make profit he called it upsizing, but i would never go to that site again n would never recommend to anyone else.
Wall-display package error - not 97% off – Two days ago purchased for $10 wall-display package -canvas factory. Above buy now-it said: "value $300 discount $97% you save $290." so i looked at a package with canvas factory worth $338.80 expecting to pay $38.80 (the difference) only to asked for over $100. Went on jump on it live chat..to be told it is a confusing add but i only get 70% off.… Read more
