Grinder failure 2 days outside of warranty – Purchased in november 2010. Grinder died late december 2012. Called Jura in january after christmas/new year. They told me it was 2-3 days out of warranty and tough luck. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty from the store. I think that Jura needs to improve their customer service manner. A little bit of understanding goes a long way. The machine makes a good coffee. The problem is the quality of the machine and Jura Australia

Love it – I bought this machine second hand from a fellow worker and it had barely been used. I love it. We use it almost everyday and have only had to do a major clean once in the past 12mths or so. We always use quality beans which makes such a difference when making coffee. I have found that certain types of milk do not froth as well as others but… Read more

it's mainly soy milk as that's what I drink. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves to enjoy a simple easy to use quality coffee machine. Easy to use. Looks great. Doesn't make the coffee/milk hot enough for what we like

Good – I bought this machine about 6 weeks ago as living out in the country I wanted a reliable machine. I was impressed with it's quality as it should be being made in Switzerland. It makes really good espressos and if you have your coffee black you can turn them out fast. I wish the water tank was larger 1.9 litres does not last long but it is not… Read more

possible without making the whole machine larger. The manual is good but it needs to be re-written by a native English speaker. It reads too Germanic. There is a great program you can download to learn the operation of the machine. Because of the rotary dial selection you have to concentrate when using it more than when you just push buttons. Wish it made Lattes but you would have to pay a lot more for that. Its mot cheap at $1500 Australian dollars but I believe it's worth it for the machine quality. It certainly beats the hell out of my old Krups espresso maker. Its very easy to clean, the drip tray and grounds container are easy to remove and replace. Very well constructed and obvious high quality. Looks like a public building. The rotary controls simplify the machine with less to go wrong. This brand I believe has the best reliability of the automatic coffee makers. I rang technical help and they were very helpful. Its easy to disassemble for cleaning. The intergrated grinder is top class. The espresso gets very good crema Cleaning aids and accessories are expensive. You need to have your wits about you operating it, you have about 5 seconds to decide what strength coffee you want.

The selected option on the rotary dial should be a different colour or light up stronger. Hard to tell what setting you are on. Filter changes are frequent. I got misled by the cleaning instructions. You must wait for the machine to do its thing. I didn't and thought something was wrong with it. Wish I could make strong the default setting for espresso.

OK – Wonderful machine whilst it stays going. Only just broken down today so not sure what repair costs will be. For the cost of machine very disappointed in it breaking. East to use, good quality, lovely cup of coffee Frother a pain to use. Like last review a few days out of the two year guarantee and the same problem with the coffee grinder. Now very disappointed having just found this website and realised others with the same prolem.

Terrible – We bought this machine believing that we were investing in a mid-range yet high quality Swiss-made machine - the only evidence of Swiss design was the machine's ability to die a couple of days after the 2-year warranty expired (warranty expired 27/07/09 contacted Jura service dept 29/07/09 & were declined any assistance)- perfect Swiss timing… Read more

indeed. Our machine was barely used on a daily basis & always cleaned, filters, etc. changed when prompted (which was very frequent & at great expense). Good quality coffee beans were always used with the machine & great care was taken to follow all user manual instructions.

We contacted Jura & their recommended repairer & were quoted an astonishing figure to repair the machine versus the initial machine cost as the grinder motor had burnt out with very little use. Investigation proved there were no foreign objects in the grinder that could jam & cause damage to the grinder thus burning out the motor so we're at a loss to say why this occured & can only assume the grinder is of very poor quality.

Needless to say, we will not be buying any Jura product again & are very disappointed with our experience with the product & Jura's response. Easy to use Did not make a consistently good cup of coffee, high cost & frequency of consumables (i.e. filters, cleaning tabs, etc) with very poor reliability & very expensive to service

Excellent – I am thrilled to bits with the Jura Impressa C5 machine and highly recommend it. Would I buy it again - yes definetely. I do however believe that the Customer Service in Australia needs to step up a gear or two. so easy to use, perfect cup of coffee at the touch of a button (the new models have buttons instead of the rotary knob), easy… Read more ·  2

maintenance (it cleans itself - again by the touch of a button) jura.au customer service is very slack, I purchased the machine in a promotional period, had to chase jura.au for several months to get the additional warranty confirmed. Had to re-send proof of purchase and warranty card - luckily I kept a photo copy. Ended up complaining to Jura in Switzerland and that did the trick - within hours the confirmation I had been chasing for months.

Terrible – I bought this machine as everywhere I had read and alot of people I spoke to said that Jura are really good machines, across the board - well after only 1 week and being mislead by warranty information - milk drinks are cold - service and support does not exist and to only be told to make a hotter cappa, turn the water level of the shot to max… Read more

(170ml shot for a cappa - who are they kidding?) Would not recommend Jura or this machine to ANYONE, I would not have someone pay me to use it! Not very Much - makes an OK Espresso shot, but not much more than that! Jura - very bad customer service and really poor at following up problems, that they do not believe are there. ALL milk drinks are lucky to be warm!

Mine was leaking water constantly, they just told me it was fine and sent it back 2 weeks later!
