2 years use – Easy to use. Need the manual every time want to process cleaning or decalcifing it. The coffee in 23 C temperature house is hot enough. However, when the house is not heated the cold cup makes the drink just about Luke worm. Need to use the steam on the side outlet to worm the cup first. The taste of the coffee has to do mostly with the type of coffee, the freshness of the beans, and the type of water used.

I find the insert filters too expensive to replace. I bought a system to clear and filter, mostly calcium from the water. (I bought it for cleaning solar panels.) these water improved the taste of the coffee.

January 5th 2019 Update: Too complicated machine

The machine too complicated. Sent to repair, works very well for 100 cups or so. Then fail again. I am looking now for a different type coffee maker with a lot less automation or much less gimmicks. Powdered coffee even coming out of a can (Lavazza) that meant to be used in such a machine, causes the machine to be plugged after a few times. Even though using the measuring spoon that came with the machine to make sure that the right amount of powdered coffee is used.

Terrible – Its just the name. Federer made a big mistake putting his name on this machine. People think that because it is Swiss made and has an expensive price tag that it must be good, but their wrong. My brother in laws manual Breville coffee machine makes a better coffee, never had it repaired once and was only a fraction of the price of this one. What a shame money down the drain!! Self cleaning feature, the touch screen, the milk attachement (purchased seperately) Very expensive. Coffee was never hot enough. Serviced twice in the first year. Broke down in the second year. Very expensive to repair.

Terrible – Very poor value for money. All plastic, bad design, no backup in Australia and overpriced at $2500. For this money reliability should be a given. It is not. Don't be tempted to buy this machine and in fact I would be wary about any Jura based on the lack of manufacturer back up. It is pretty much fully automatic. It grinds well , makes a good cup of coffee and is fairly easy to clean Reliability, Reliability, Reliability. This machine has had multiple problems and the 2 year warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. It often makes cups all by itself so that you can not leave the machine on and unattended!

The distributor in Australia just wants to fob problems off and will not replace what is a lemon

Excellent – You don't believe this. Had the machine for 2 years and I kept complaining that the espresso outside tastes much better than our Jura. This morning we finally read the manual and discovered that there is a "coffee" and "espresso" function. Having pressed the "espresso" function I finally had my espresso the way I get it in restaurants outside. sorry Jura for doubting you in the bast two years(with red face) Look A big too big for my small kitchen top counter

Terrible – Expensive mistake. Don't be tempted. Cheap crap with big price tag When it worked it worked well Lasted just over 2 years and a total write off. Thermocouple burnt out and quote to fix was nearly half the purchase price. This machine cost more than 2K
