JUST Prepaid

Cannot get balance or recharge anymore – Cannot get account balance or recharge anymore. Also, takes ages to get through to customer care. Shame - this used to be a great service, but now it is terrible :-(
Just Mobile can NOT be trusted anymore – hello, I've been with these budget guys for 3 years now. Mostly all was fine until the last 6 months. None of their service numbers work anymore. Can't even get an account balance. I know i've got about $100 in my account from the last SMS. Calling, Data and SMS still work but for how long ? I need to renew my balance by paying $15 soon, but i think i'm then going to loose $100 + $15. Not happy :-(
Issues on recharging – There seems to be an issue for a lot of people trying to recharge through the 888 'Recharge' number. I called 887 'Customer Care' outside of office hours and I could enter my recharge pin there. I'm not sure if it works during office hours, but I hope this helps someone.
Refuse to answer calls – The last time I got through for a balance was a month ago. Mobile still working but for how long?
Appears to have stopped altogether – Exactly the same experience as other reviewers. Used to be good, simple. Went downhill after it changed hands. Now at 21 Aug 2016 I have the same trouble as John of Sydney reported on 13 Aug: paid $15, their recharge number doesn't work, their contact number (when you can find it) doesn't work. $15 wasted and I have to find a new company.
Service has dropped considerably in the last year since they became "Just mobile - Revolution Teleco – Look they're a budget carrier so they provide a budget service and that's fair enough. Lately though they've changed their systems and it's become increasingly difficult to check your account balance. I've also noticed that contacting Just Mobile has become virtually impossible. They've removed nearly all the contact numbers on their website meaning you can never get to talk to a human.
Poor communicators – As a minimal user the Just 15 Plan suits me perfectly and the tariffs are good. I came to Just Prepaid via AAPT, wasn't told that it Just Happened. Yesterday I discovered that the Account Balance and Recharge numbers no longer work, Just Happens it's now all at Customer Service. Used to get instant account balances by calling Account Balance… Read more
(seems logical) now I have to call Customer Service, select a menu option, enter my phone number and wait for ages for the amount to arrive via SMS, that's progress?.
service is getting worse. I tried to get my account three times at different times, but there was no – Poor service. Tried to get account balance thrice but no response. I had to ring them for that and a fee was charged. I will definitely switch company because service is failing.
The Ryanair of the Aussie mobile market (but only for voice calls & TEXT) – I've been with Just Prepaid Mobile (now Just Mobile, apparently) for over ten years. As I've never had to call their Customer Service people for assistance, I can't speak to that but so far for voice calls & texting, all good, touch wood. I'm more than a bit nervous atm though - I just rang their account balance number (889) & couldn't get my… Read more
account balance (it used to be an automated service). Now there is a recorded message (featuring a female Aussie voice) that indicates to me that JM are now in cahoots with some mob called 'Revolution Telecom'. Hmmm. Also, the www.justprepaidmobile.com.au website has disappeared since I last used it six months ago, & trying to log into my 'Member's Login' on www.justmobile.com.au now fails. Hmmm again. I'm really hoping that these glitches are all just being caused by the in-progress (?) amalgamation with Revolution Telecom? If so, some warning of this possibly occurring to JM's existing customers in a blanket email would have been nice. :-(
Edit 1/4/16 2325: I rang JM today on their 888 'Recharge' number & spoke to an nice intelligent Aussie bloke, who explained all to me, as well as looking after my recharge. As he tells it, Revolution Telecom has been part of JM for many years: it's just not advertised. Also, he told me that the automated Account Balance facility, & the automated Recharge facility, both failed on 29/3/16, & that JM people are currently working flat out to get it fixed, so on the face of all that, all seems good. :-)
Don't care or try – Have been a customer for many years of this basic but cheap and reliable company, I ordered a new SIM. When it didn't arrive after a week I rang up and was told 'we don't have any more SIMs and don't know if we'll re-stock'. I asked why this wasn't explained on their website which advertised a SIM replacement service but Customer Care didn't know - or apparently care. Now looking for another prepaid service.
Reliable – Been with them for over 7 years.Great costomer service when things have gone wrong and covers you in the outer metro easierly. Reception is good on better quality phones rather than on cheap ones. I do not use data at all because that is why you have a computer, lets face it a phone is handy to talk and txt but some screens are to small for emails and other uses of a smartphone that wants you to use data. Fairness of call pricing
Excellent cheap prepaid caps and long expiry dates for prepaid – Have been with Just for two years. Always found the customer service excellent as you get helpful Australian people that speak English. Easy to recharge on line. Really suitable for people who text or talk not suitable for data as to expensive. Overall happy if you have basic needs from your mobile. Cheap phone rates and text rates compared to… Read more
optus and telstra. Uses Vodafone network. Deal with Australians, good for texting and phoning. Has option for long expiry dates on prepaid Not good for people who want data
Worst customer service I have ever come across – How does this situation sound: you apply for a new sim card, wait a week, receive nothing, email and ask what happened to be told I did not order it in the first place. Try and get another one and be told they found application for first one. wait another week, have it sent over and it doesn't work. Then be told that actually it never could have… Read more
worked in the first place because my sim card was more than 6 months old. The most frustrating and terrible retail experience i have ever had - two weeks without a phone for no reason.

Know better, choose better.
OK – i think it is a must for a service where you do not want to pay too much if you are not a frequent user of a mobile. customer service is very friendly. great service. they are very reliable when help is much needed about a certain inquiry. the service provides you with some good deals to save you each month on a contract or prepaid. i used prepaid… Read more
and it was ok. the prepaid service does not have any unique features to win free bonuses to help you save money like optus does. it is just a plain paid prepaid service with nothing special to offer or reward you.
Good – If you want a cheap phone providor you cant go past just mobile. It runs on the vodafone network so reception works okay in most areas. There is no cost involved in the flagfall which tends to add up once you make that 30 second call Prepaid has really cheap call rates which would attract low end users. No range of data plans
Good value for low outlay – I've been with JUST mobile for about three years. I have never had any problems but, then again, I have had very basic phone requirements. Now that I'm about to upgrade to a Google Nexus 7 tablet, I find I'm having to look around for a plan that won't cost too much for when I am out of WiFi range (we travel a lot). JUST can't provide this except,… Read more
as they admit, at great expense. Pity, because otherwise they've been very good for me and my partner. Cheap!!!! Just $15 for six months and I've never run out. Can't do data downloads.
No phone service. No customer service. Stay away! – I ordered a JustMobile SIM card to use my phone in Australia. I have had no trouble in other countries. But the SIM card did not work. After multiple calls to "customer service", the SIM card still did not work. I was promised a refund three times. No phone service. No refund. No customer service. six weeks in Australia without coverage! customer service was friendly. But did nothing. didn't work, didn't refund.
Un dependable – After recently leaving justmobile after 6 months of abysmal service, I feel a sense of relief. If the following points describe you, you should definitely get a just prepaid sim. 1) You like being stranded with no credit and no means to recharge from your phone. 2) You like poor coverage. 3) You prefer to be notified that you have low… Read more
credit after you recharge as opposed to when your credit is getting low.
4) You never make long or medium length phone calls
5) All of your friends, collegues, clients, relatives and acquaintances are also on justmobile. The slightly higher adrenaline levels caused by the stress of needing to make a call and not being able to. Mostly everything, but especially that you can't buy recharge credit from your phone without having credit to call with. That is just stupid.
No Frills - Does the job - Shouldn't expect too much – Have been with Just Mobile for almost 3yrs now and am reasonably satisfied with them. Firstly if you make infrequent, usually short calls as I do, this is still the best deal around - on average I probably spend roughly $10/month overall. There is no flagfall and the biling is per second to keep costs down. I especially like the fact that credits… Read more
last for 6 months which make it great when travelling overseas for long periods, so when you get back you still have credit on your phone.
Some people have mentioned poor reception - to be fair you also have to take into consideration your mobile phone. Hubby is also on Just but for some reason his reception is not as good as mine (He has a Huawei Ideos and I have a Samsung Galaxy II) so the only thing we can think of is the phone itself rather than the service provider.
My only gripe is if you use data, this is very expensive. I've mentioned this already to Just and they replied they were "working on this" issue. I used to use a dual sim card mobile phone and switch to Amaysin to use data until the phone broke. But overall I don't use internet much on the phone anyway, so for people who don't use their mobiles much, I would highly recommend Just mobile. Plus if you sign up to www.smspup.com.au - you can get free Just mobile credits there too! If Just Mobile can add on a cheap data package, it would win 5 stars from me! For now though, it does the job and keeps more money in my pocket than any other service provider. Cheap and affordable Expensive to use data
