Perfect For the Bedroom – Perfect little heater for our standard bedroom! The nights were so cold and this heater does the trick. The heater does a great job in heating our bedroom, perfect for really cold nights. It's not for an entire house just a room. I highly recommend for standard rooms. Show details · 1
Excellent and worth the price! – I bought a K-Mart Oscillating Fan Heater (FH221B) for this winter, just for 20 AUD. Its really worth for small rooms and heats up quickly. Can operate 5/10 minutes and switch off. If the doors are shut, heat is preserved. Recommended. Initially, you will get a smell, yet fades away withing 2/3 minutes. (barely noticeable ) Show details

Good for the money – Cheap and cheerful. It does the job of heating a room well. In this range of household goods I'm resigned to the fact that there will be quite a few lemons. I've struck it lucky and for the money it's all right. Yes blower heaters are noisy - this is no exception. The thermostat has yet to kick in (I've not tested it in a confined space) and… Read more · 1
the oscillator switch could conveniently be linked to the main on-off. But overall it does a good job of turning electricity into heat and is good value over much more expensive heaters that basically do the same job..
Heats My Bedroom in 15 mins – My room is small and this heater warms my room in 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I can turn off the heater, save electricity and still stay warm. Worth the price. Show details · 1
Perfect for a small bedroom – My bedroom is small. I keep the fan on the floor. The fan does a great job of keeping the floor warm so my legs aren't cold, and it gradually heats up the whole room to a comfortable level. Eventually it does get quite warm and I would need to turn it off for a bit when sleeping. I leave it running throughout the day with no issues. Has a… Read more · 1
tipover/lift automatic safety switch, doesn't make much noise at all, and is overall great. Simple and effective.

Heats well but never turns off danger – Purchase the anko oscillating fan heater 1800 to 2000 watts heats the room very well unfortunately it doesn't turn itself off when it's reached the temperature it just keeps pumping out So in my opinion avoid this product it's dangerous and can be expensive if left on
Another Quality Control Disaster From Kmart – Well straight off the bat, the thermostat is useless. Set it to room temperature to just turn off and it takes forever to turn off. Set it to just turn on and it takes forever to turn on. Then there's the oscillating function which is either switched on or off by it's own switch on the back, so this means if the fan turns off it continues to… Read more
oscillate side to side using power for absolutely no reason at all! (The Fan is OFF?) It's okay Kmart to make and sell cheap, but we can all do without the nasty.

Does the job! – We purchased this heater few days ago to heat up our small bathroom. It does heat quickly however there’s a weird smell like a burn one. The price is great for 2000watts and for sure this is perfect for the home at work office room. Hope it blows a neutral air smell but all in all, it does the job. Show details

Overall worthwhile fan heater – Great fan heater. Only thing is its a big bigger than other fan heaters that do the same thing. This leads to spreading the heat over a bigger area (since the fan and grill are bigger) and is less concentrated if thats what you were looking for. Heats up room however. Anko is pretty good brand from my experience. Slight louder than similar fan heaters imo Show details · 1
Good fan/heater but with easy to fix (by factory) design flaws – The heater works well although a bit noisy. My main concern with the heater is that the thermostat does not switch off the heater when the space gets warm. The only way to turn it off is to turn the thermostat dial lower. If you do this it takes ages again to switch on. This is unsafe and a thermostat with a much narrower hysteresis should be… Read more
used. Also, the oscillating on/off switch should be installed after the main switch, not before it. This will allow for everything to be switched off when the main switch is switched off.

Very helpful equipment, may suffer with reliability/safety issues – A very helpful gadget for small rooms and cold nights. Has a very small and compact design and can be easily stored away. Cable length is decent so it extends pretty nicely. The dials are very simple to use and heats up quickly. I do have a few suspicions which I'd like to address. When turning on the fan and switching to high heat, I can smell… Read more
some sort of burning plastic whenever I turn it on. I've read the manual about burning residue from factory manufacturing but I've had this since 2021. But it only lingers for a short while before the smell vanishes away thankfully. Another thing I'd like to address is that when the fan hits it's desired temperature it may set off an electrical spark which is somewhat worrying. It is a little noisy but that's a common thing with fans like these. Overall it's a very nice and cheap little fan, the vents protect the fan from any large debris or prying fingers if children happen to use it. I recommend this provide solely for budget issues, compact size, ease of use and aesthetic.

Doesn't heat – Fan works well if you want to circulate air but I really wanted it to warm a small space when I get dressed or come out of the shower. Does not heat at all! Its meant to be a heater..back to using my noisy hair-dryer, does a better job Show details
Caught fire! Cheap chinese rubbish! – Started well. Heated room quite quickly. BUT 2 months later I switched it on and within one minute a jet of flame 20cm long came out the front. If I had been out of the room for just 5 minutes I could have had a major fire. Never again. Show details

Good value for money – Very satisfied. Great value for money. Heats really fast and it’s not too loud. But it’s possessed ! It keeps oscillating when it’s turned off. I would definitely still recommend it. Show details
Great value.. but did not last the entire winter – The heating is incredible for a heater of this price. I have no issue heating up my apartment room at all. I may have abused it too much.. I had it on all the time and it stopped working after two months. Likely to get a replacement next year and hopefully it'll last longer! Show details
Good bargain for a fan and heater – This heater works perfectly fine in heating up my room, which should be noted is quite small, but for the price, i have no problems with it whatsoever. Two weeks ago, the weather is quite cold and this heater does it's job well i dare say. The heat does increase when I adjust for it to increase although i have to say that the increase in heat is… Read more
hardly noticeable if i only increase it by a small fraction, but otherwise it's all good. For the price, i would say this heater is quite a bargain since we got a heater and a fan in one item, which means that i can use it during both the hot and cold seasons. So far, i found this heater to be working really nicely and will continue to use it.
Good for the price! – My apartment room is relatively small. Works well during the winter days and it has 2 heat options and another fan option. It is very versatile and the oscillating function works glamorously. If you have extra $5 to spend then definitely get the oscillating version. Show details
Heats a whole room in minutes – Needed a small heater for freezing winter nights since the gas bills were getting too expensive with the ducted heating. This little beauty is perfect for anyone on a budget, heats up a whole room in minutes and has minimal energy usage! A bit loud at times but for something small and cheap it's worth it Show details
Seems ok but not perfect – Works well as a typical fan heater, slightly louder than our previous Arlec 2000w. One annoying thing is it keeps oscillating even when thermostat shuts off the fan and heater. And makes a rickety noise as it keeps turning back and fourth. You can turn oscillation function off with a seperate switch. I think the oscillation should stop also when thermostat cuts the heater out. Show details
Getting me through the winter in my office! – Pretty happy with this little heater! My colleague & I are stuck in a freezing part of our office and decided to buy this heater for our area. We were really pleasantly surprised! It has a rotation setting so it spreads the warmth around rather than just being directed in one place. It also has different heat settings. It’s quite powerful and… Read more
warms us up in a matter of minutes! Would recommend.
It’d also be great in the bathroom if you get cold coming out of the shower!
Great bang for your buck – We just moved into a two story house with ducted heating only downstairs. I don’t mind this, because heat rises. Where’s in the past, we’ve had a place with aircon downstairs and struggled to get the upstairs cool in Australia’s summer heat. Our four rooms upstairs just needed a kick to take the edge off before bed and waking up. This $20… Read more
wonder does the trick.
Put it in each room for a few minutes to take the chill off is all is needed. Let the blankets do the rest.
Cold in the morning? Chuck it on quickly and it’s awesome. Limit long use for electricity bills, but for a family of seven and five of us upstairs, it’s a great source to take off the coldbefore ragging up or getting up.
Love the auto shut off if picked up or tips over, too.
Very impressed.
Works well, used in office – This fan works really very well. We keep it under our desk in our non heated office, and it keeps the chill off the person sitting at the front desk. It's not too noisy when on the phone, and blows a constant warm stream of air. Happy with purchase, would buy again when the times comes. Show details

Efficient heater – Efficient heater works fast and well, the only things that I am not happy is the noise, When I am watching TV with the heater on at night I need to increase the volume and my kids are asleep next door. I guess that could potentially be the problem with all fan heaters, Also makes my face red if I n=sit directly opposite the heater for too long. It is very inexpensive and looks stylish enough. 1000000% PERFECT – This product i bought from my local Kmart last year, I can’t imagine my life without this heater! This heater heats up our whole house in under half an hour, it’s even better at 4:30am when getting up for work. 100% recommend this product to family and friends or to anyone because it is absolutely amazing Show details
Heater – Overall not a bad heater..I leave it on all night it heats the room well but utilities more power.its a good size looks good and blends in with my bedroom. .The price is right value for money .Would i buy another no in view of it using lots of power. Show details
Great value for price – Hi I bought this heater for $20 from Kmart and I'm very happy with it. It works great and there's nothing wrong with it, heats up quickly and makes almost no sound. Heats up very hot too, also works as a fan. Very great value for price from Kmart. Cheers Show details
Good – I can't remember exactly how much it was but this is a small heater that I can take with me anywhere I go. When I am in the study room I keep it near me & when I move to my bedroom I take it with me. It's really convenient! Show details
Ok for small area – Good little heater for a small area. I use mine in the bathroom. Would be fine for a bedroom. You certainly wouldn't use it to heat whole house but these small heaters are not meant for that anyway. The downside to this heater is the noise it makes. If you were to use it in a bedroom it might keep you awake. Show details
Right size, right price & enough heat – I simply love K-Mart Oscillating Fan Heater as it is just perfect for my small bedroom. I do not want a bulky heater as I do not have a lot of space in my room and this small fan heater is just ideal. On top of that it is with reasonable price & my room is always warm in winter with the heat from the fan heater. Lastly, I do not mind a little noise from the fan heater as I am use to the noise from the street. Show details
Love it! – Our two bedroom place is always freezing in winter! We bought this heater two months ago and use it everyday! We love it! It can heat up a room pretty fast! It's a little loud but great for keeping you warm. The price is cheap and does the job you need! Show details
Way too loud and you have to be up close – This heater is very loud, almost so loud that we can't watch a movie without turning it off haha especially right now when its freezing during winter this can get very annoying. In my study room this works well but when we put it out in the living room it hardly gets the room warm. We have to put it on the coffee table n more than 1 meter away from us during the winter. Show details
This is perfect – this heater is simple and small. Heating is hot enough, the only thing is it has a loud noise, I can clearly hear the heater is working in the room when I at the door. But it's very cheap, so I think this quality with this kind low price is good. Show details
It works pretty well – I bought it for a small room. The room turned warm about 5 mins after I turned it on.This is the second time I bought a heater and this one definitely works better than the last one I got! One thing strange about it tho is that it had a weird smell when I turned it on, like something's burning. But I guess that is normal for a heater. Overall, this is a really good heater, and it is cheap! Show details
Good Cheap Heater – This heater is not suitable for big rooms, however if you are looking to heat a smaller room it's great. I normally close the door for the bedroom and leave it running until the room warms up before turning it off for the night. It heats small closed off rooms quite quickly and it's a cheap option for a portable heater. In larger living area's… Read more
it will heat it's immediate surrounds but not the whole room. I definitely recommend this heater for someone looking to warm up a bedroom or other small area.
Doesn't work – Just bought and it doesn't heat up at all. The fan works fine and blows cool air out but no matter how I twist the knobs I get no heat. Show details
