Spare Parts Issue – I've found this fan a good enough fan and takes up a relatively small footprint in a small flat. However, after it was packed away, when I brought it out again, the daisy-shaped connector ring was missing (that attaches the base tot he tower). I rang the Kambrook Spare Parts and Services line, who were very pleasant and willing to help, but… Read more

unfortunately Kambrook do not provide a spare connector ring and could not provide any alternative.

So now, our perfectly good fan, that works just fine, is rendered useless, simple because Kambrook does not provide this simple spare part.

Planned obsoloscence?

Simply because of this oversight, I won't be buying anything by Kambrook in the future, and I will be checking the availability of spare parts for all electricals I buy in the future.

Sorry Kambrook. You just lost a customer because of a small detail. I won't be recommending your products to anyone else.

Great for lounge room, but has stopped working – My husband and I purchased this fan two summers ago, and it worked great in the lounge room, but like others have stated, it's a little low for bedrooms. Nonetheless we enjoyed its capabilities, including the timer option when going to sleep, but one day late last year (2012) it stopped working. It won't turn on- it's not dusty, it hasn't been… Read more

mishandled, it just stopped. We're not sure what to do with it to be honest! Other than that, it was a good fan. Would like to know if anyone else has had this issue. Inexpensive, could feel from several metres away. It stopped working suddenly.

No good for hot weather, brilliant for cold! – I bought this fan in summer, and absolutely hated it! I bought it to blow across my bed at night in hot weather. The fan blows too low to the ground to cool anything except your legs at the best of times, and may well cool the area under the bed, but none of that air movement reaches me! It's also very noisy. Since the weather has cooled down, I… Read more

have discovered that the fan sits nicely in front of the fire box and very effectively moves the hot air further out into the room. The compact design means that it also doesn't take up much space. Overall, I think I still prefer the pedestal fans, but it's not a complete waste of money! Great for moving hot air from in front of the firebox. Too low to the ground to effectively work as a cooler in summer. Too tall, thin and unstable for me to feel comfortable placing it on a table/ chair with kids around.

Not one for the bedroom – I was attracted to this fan because it looked good and was compact. It pumped out a nice amount of cool air, but the high pitched motor noise made it totally unsuitable for use in a bedroom at night. I had it on in the kid's room across the hall from ours and I could hear it going during the night. It sounded like it might take off any moment! … Read more

It was also too low to blow air up over the level of a standard bed.

This fan would be best suited to a lounge room or similar during the day when you are less likely to hear the noise of the fan over the general noise of your household.

I took it back to the shop the next day and replaced it with the standard style pedestal fan, much quieter! Looks good, compact, easy to store Too much noise to use at night
