Great slow cooker for at least 6=7 years – We've had this slow cooker for easily 6-7 years or so now. It's served our very hungry family of 3 or 4 very well in all of those years. Made many casseroles on low heat over 8 hours at least once a fortnight to once a month, and it cooks well every single time. Great investment for a great price. Show details
Allocate more time than recipes state – Quite small so I thought it would cook quite well. A recipe I followed for a stew told me it would take 4 hours and it's been 7 hours and the potatoes are still hard. Been on high the whole time, first time using this and we have had to get takeaway for dinner or eat at 9pm with no guarantee dinner would even be cooked by then. Show details

love my crockpot – i use my pot at least weekly. just take out the ceramic dish and wash ready . only 3 settings off low high easy peasey. remember no water a bit of mustard on top of a chunk off uncooked corned beef low 4-5 hours omg you made that. think ive had it 5 years and its had a good workout. think i get the same again if i had to Show details
I love it ! – Love this slow cooker ! It’s simple to use , you actually can’t go wrong . I’ve had mine for 5 years and still going strong. I wouldn’t recommend putting the pot in the dishwasher though . It’s easy to clean , it’s small enough to fit on a shelf but big enough to feed the whole family . Show details
Use it frequently – This is the perfect slow cooker for anyone on a budget! Minimal cost and works perfect!! Easy to wash, either by hand or by dishwasher! Non stick, and holds up with pressure. We use ours several times a week and have for the last 10 months! Good appliance that works a treat, and cost efficient! Show details

The replacement won! – So to start with this slow cooker wasn't ok. The first 2 things I cooked in it had a chemically smell. But the 3rd dish was Burnt! I thought that maybe it was my doing and I didn't have enough liquid or something in there.... But it kept slightly burning everything I put in it. After a week of trying I gave up and had to take it back to the store… Read more
and got a replacement...
The replacement was so much better! Nor more burnt food! But it does take longer to cook though. A 4 hour slow cooker dish seems to take 7-8 hours...
An upside to this slow cooker is that it looked good.
Once you get used to how to use it, it isn't all bad. You get what you pay for!
Decent price – Very basic slow cooker but with the price you pay is what you get. You require an extensive time to cook the food however you do not need to worry about it. It is easy to wash and a decent size so storing it is not a problem. I do recommend this product as its reasonable price. Show details
Can be better – I don't fancy mine. Heat is not enough and pretty basic. Not many functions to play with. Have to keep turning the food around to maximise cooking. It's good for making curries and vegetables but not so much for meat. Easy to clean. can be improved. I don't recommended this product Show details

Very basic – Basic small slow cooker, best suited for cooking for 1 or 2. It has 3 functions: high, low and keep warm. The high function is more like the low and the low is more like keep warm… takes at least 8 hours on the high function to cook what would usually take another slow cooker to do on low for same amount of time. I’ve had it 10 years and used it… Read more
maybe 10-15 times and it still works as it always has. You just have to be patient with it and give yourself all day to cook something
Great Cooker – I do not have any problem with this slow cooker. Yes, you do need to cook it rather for 7-8 hours, but that is why it is a slow cooker. Only regret is that we got the smaller size. Reasonably priced, simple slow cooker that does what it needs to. Show details
Good value decent quality slow cooker – Very basic slow cooker, but good quality for the price i paid. I found it cooks very well and close to the time most recipes specify. It is quite basic, does not have a timer which I would have liked, and is easy to clean. Had to throw it away though as I dropped the bowl (ceramic ) and it was more to replace the bowl than the slow cooker itself Show details
2 years and still going strong! – I have cooked sooooo much in this slow cooker - soup, meats, etc. It has NEVER let me down. I am about to purchase a bigger one for my birthday and will be passing this one down to my father to use. It is extremely reliable and I love it! Show details

Old design – Needs improvement it looses alot of heat due to the old design of the product it's much slower to cook than my cheap $25 dollar Kmart version and harder to clean also plastic cutlery even scratches the sides of the bowl what's ment to take 4 hours to Cook takes 6 hours Show details
Waste of money – I purchased this cooker because we wanted a small one for our caravan. It was purchased from Kogan in February this year and has only been used a few times. It takes forever to cook anything and is really not even hot when on the high setting. Don't waste your money. I'm sure there are better products out there that will actually cook your meal. A Godsend – I bought this little slow cooker eighteen months ago and it has become a family favourite. I put all the meat and vegetables into the slow cooker and turn it on, then when I get home from work, dinner is ready to serve. It`s a great little time saver when working all day and no time to cook when I get home. Show details
Can't use over 3 months – This has been the worst product I bought last year. Used this 4 times a week. Worked as it should until i washed it up & the bowl cracked and it is burning out. Never will I purchase another Kambrook product again! Size is small, although it is easy to use. Show details

Cheap and cheerful – Great size for a small family, only complaint is it has a hot spot, so ideally you need to stir it a couple of times during cooking. Cant beat the price, I paid $30 on sale. I've had mine for almost 3 years, use it regularly and it's still going strong Show details
Great timer-saver for a small family – Bought one of these years ago and it became a favourite appliance, especially over winter when we could be welcomed home at the end of a long, cold, day's work with the smell of lamb shanks or a chicken curry wafting through the house. Popping the ingredients in, with the only preparation being to brown the meat, then placing the lid on and… Read more
setting the cooker to LOW was about as difficult as it got before heading off for the day.
This model isn't overly large, so it'd struggle with more than 3 lamb shanks or a curry for more than 3 or 4, however when veggies, rice or pasta is included in the meal, then the contents can go a long way with plenty left over for the next day.
The inner bowl and lid are easily cleaned and dishwasher-safe. Alternatively, a soak in hot water soon after use means the ring of dried cooked-on food around the sides almost falls away. The only disadvantages of this model is it being a bit small for a large family. We remedied this by scoring another one off our neighbours who weren't using theirs, so now we can have two different curries cooking prior to a dinner party.
Makes a great meal – So glad bought this slow cooker , does a great job of making a meal taste perfect , easy to use and even to clean ,price was good as i was on a budget . I have used the cooker at least twice a week to feed my family with no complaints . Show details
Good cooker but small size – The slow cooker does a good job and the meat or stew becomes very tender. Easy to clean as it has few components. The features are limited to a few basic options. The downside is that it is small therefore cannot cook a large meal, more meant for two people. Show details
Pretty good for a cheapie – Bought it for hubby to use when I was at work, does a good job for a cheapie, bought a timer so I can use while I'm at work, great taste, so much better then the old crock pots, great for those starting out with a slow cooker, I have a 3 in one now so don't use it as much Show details

Worst product I own, please don't buy – This has been the worst product I have in my cupboard. I didn't do my research so my fault. It is so slow, even cooking on high for 8/9 hours results in meal being just cooked. There are only 2 of us so the size is perfect, but now have to seek another one, not too sure what brand. Rang the Kambrook customer service line, but given out of… Read more
warranty nothing I can do. The service I received was only just also, as she appeared surprised by my comments, so obviously no one reads this product review which is a shame. I will pass on my thoughts to those I know and also log onto facebook, as I really don't want others to spend money and get little return. Unfortunate as I always thought Kambrook a good reliable brand.
Disgusting taste. Awful product – I've tried cooking several prices of good meat in thus disaster and they have all come out with a gross chemical taste. Sour celery has been described before, I tend to agree. Something must be wrong with the element. It is producing a really bad scent that is transferring to the food. DO NOT BUY. Show details

Cheap but reliable – For $40 at my local good guys, I'm pretty pleased with this slow cooker. Sometimes it does seem to cook a bit slowly, but when I work all day this isn't really an issue. I use it probably twice a week and the bowl doesnt have any cracks and seems pretty durable.
Awful – I'd never used a slow cooker before and a friend put me on to it. I bought a Kambrook Essentials slow cooker about 12 months ago. I love the concept! However, the results are ghastly. Every meal has a strong taste of sour celery. Horrible. I hand wash it in hot soapy water after every use. I took it out of the cupboard this morning for it's first… Read more
use of the Winter season and smelled something not nice. Sour celery. Yuk. That's when i realised all the unappetising meals i made last Winter may not be because of my rotten cooking. It also developed a maze of fine cracks within one to two uses. Throwing it out today.

Very slow slow cooker – First time I have ever been disappointed with a Kambrook product, it takes forever to cook even on high. It is out of warranty but only been used less than a dozen times, as I have a 2 litre one I use most of the time, in a positive note it fits in the dishwasher to clean.

Food is still, not cooked after several hours – I bought one for my mum to use and she complained that the water was luke warm afte 5 hrs. She rang the manufacturer and was told that this was of course not normal so I returned it to the Good Guys without any problems. Was given a new one and again mum complained that it just didn't heat up fast enough or ever really get that hot. Thought mum… Read more
might have been exaggerating so I decided to test it myself - well, the slow cooker was terrible. Barely heated up after 3 hours. Will be returning it again but won't bother with a replacement. Got it for $30 at The Good Guys as I did a price match with Kmart.

Temperature too low – I wanted to cook some dried navy beans and because I don't want the sugar that is often in the canned product. SO HERE ARE THE STEPS I TOOK:- (I had a poor result the first time I tried this so I put extra effort into the preparation.) I soaked the beans for 16 hours. I rinsed the beans and boiled them at a high simmer for 10 minutes.… Read more
Then I put the beans into the Kambrook slow cooker which had been preheated with hot water.
I set the temperature to high and let it go.
After 9 hours the beans were still not properly cooked.
I don't have a receipt any more to return the slow cooker.
The reason I gave 1 star is that I have used the appliance to keep soup warm and it does that satisfactorily.

Don't buy – I bought this slow cooker and it worked fine, but after the first couple of times I used it I noticed a crack had formed in the ceramic pot. I kept using it anyway and now the crack has grown and it's leaking. I've read these reviews and can see that a lot of people have had this problem with this product. It was cheap so I'm not heart broken. I'm… Read more
now looking for another product, and it's interesting that reviews of most brands of ceramic slow cookers available in stores in Australia indicate that they have similar issues (and other problems too!) Can anyone recommend a good slow cooker??!?

No problems at all. A great appliance – Bought this a few months back because I wanted a small cooker and there's not much choice at the 3L end of the market. Makes ample for a couple to get a few meals from. I did loads of research before buying and was a bit worried by bad reviews but for $30 I thought I didn't have much to lose by trying it. Glad I did, it's been great! Don't over… Read more
fill it and don't take the lid off while its cooking on low (first rules of slow cooking). Get a good cook book like Sally Wise, learn how to use it and you'll wonder how you lived without it. Easy to clean, not too heavy and doesn't take up a whole cupboard. An appliance you will actually use. Others I know with the same cooker have also found it good.
Do not buy – Used this 4 times. Worked as it should until i washed it up after meal number 4 and the bowl cracked and split and fell apart. Makes it a very expensive purchase on a per use base. Will not recommend it. Sad part is i have a choice of another brand at time of purchase and went with this on basis it would be more reliable.
Hi ks - please return this item to the store where it was purchased with a valid receipt to arrange a refund.
Kambrook should recall – I have just phoned Kambrook complaining about their slow cooker KSC320. I have used it twice now and after hours of wasting time waiting for the meat to cook then having to transfer the meat to a casserole dish and finish off in the oven and think of something else for dinner. The man I spoke to on the phone was useless, he offered me another… Read more
cooker at a reduced price and pretended he new nothing of this problem! I asked him several times if this was a known problem and he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I can't imagine that Kambrook aren't aware of this problem. Kambrook need to recall these products and reimburse us.
Never will I purchase another Kambrook product again!

Disappointed – I had the same experience as John with the cooker not getting hot enough. I made a casserole with rump steak and vegetables. I started on high for 2 hours then reduced to low. After 5 hours on low I had to increase it to high again because after 7 hours it didn't seem to be cooking satisfactorily and I didn't want to be eating at 10 pm! So… Read more
this casserole after 9 hours cooking was still not completely cooked, that was 4 hours on high and 5 hours on low! The potatoes which were quartered and not particularly large pieces were still uncooked and inedible. The meat was getting there but not cooked adequately for my liking. The carrots weren't cooked enough but the sweet potato was ok. The celery wasn't soft enough. Okay, this was my first effort so I will try again by cutting up all the ingredients very very small and cooking completely on high because maybe that's the only way to get them cooked over nine hours. Disappointing to say the least.
