Excellent! – After moving to a isolated area with no shops, a bread maker seemed like a good idea and it was! I am enjoying experimenting with different ingredients. I have only used a packet mix once and I was not impressed - it just tastes like commercial bread. Try the medium white in the instruction manual and change it to your taste (rye, buckwheat,… Read more
sesame seeds etc) I would definitely recommend. Don't ever put too much yeast in or you will have disaster on your hands! I agree the screen is hard to read - I use a torch.
Addicted – I was given this Bread maker as a gift and love it. I generally use the French setting as the loaf always comes out perfectly. It is very easy to use and you have a loaf of bread in less Tha. 3 hours! I have also tried the chilli jam recipe which was awesome. Highly recommended. Show details
Perfect loaves so far! – Ended up choosing this model due to the price mainly but it has turned out to be very good so far. Easy to understand instructions and LCD screen (don't know what everyone else is complaining about!) Laucke bread mixes work well but I needed to reduce the yeast by 1/4tsp as it rose pretty high inside the machine. May need to reduce further as well as I'm in a hot, humid climate (activates the yeast more). Overall I recommend this machine. Show details
Great machine – I bought this bread maker quite a while ago and use it regularly for bread, pizza dough and dough for rolls and it works really well, the hole made by the paddle was annoying so I timed the stages and now take the paddle out after the last punch down of the dough (at 1:45 on the timer) and it only leaves an insignificant hole. Unfortunately it… Read more · 1
finally seems to be wearing out and I shall have to replace it, after reading many bread maker reviews I think I'll buy another of this model, it makes beautiful bread and dough. Some of the reviews have mentioned the dark and difficult to read screen, it is, it's true but I just use a torch, not too much of a hassle..The compulsory purchase date on this site is not accurate because I can't remember when I bought it..
Stupid screen – I too find it very hard to read the screen, I need lots of light and have my glasses on to see the little indicators for loaf size and crust. Most of the loaves I have tried so far from Lauke mix packets rises too far and is too soggy but the crust is good and it is probably too much water but thats what the directions say. Why do none of the… Read more · 1
bread maker loaf tins make a loaf that slices so that they fit into a normal toaster? I find I have to trim the loaf and cutting it side ways or across the loaf only works sometimes.
Screen impossible to read – I must say I have had a better bread machine than this one , But this is not bad for the money paid . But the one thing that I find ridiculous , is this impossible to read screen . I can not for the life of me understand it .
Surprisingly Good – This is my third breadmaker, the other two being Brevilles. I was a bit skeptical due to the price but Choice gave it a reasonable rating so I thought I would give it a try. Very pleased with it. Most importantly for me the blade comes out easily, a problem I have had with my other breadmakers. Does a fabulous wholemeal loaf - recipe in the… Read more
manual. And I have just done a fruit loaf - recipe from a different brand - and it turned out very well. I haven't done a premix in it yet though so not sure about those. Really glad I bought it. Great value for money.
Dont buy it – Bought this machine the kbm300 on 2/10/2015 have used it once and does not get hot enough to cook the bread. Have to add another 20 minutes to finish cooking. Will be taking this piece of crap back to the store to get my money back. So disappointed with kambrook making a machine like this.
Perfect loaf first time – I have had several bread makers over the years but now our children have grown up and moved out and there is just the 2 of us, I bought this machine because of the smaller pan and compact size of the machine. I have only made one loaf so far and it is the best loaf I think I have ever made. I hope this continues. After reading some of the… Read more
reviews here I think I'm glad I didn't read them before buying the machine or it may have put me off. I used the basic white medium loaf recipe from the instruction book but I used bread mix instead of flour but still added the little extras as per the recipe.
The dough looked a bit "wet" to me when the first knead was finished but I decided to just see what happened and adjust if needed next time, however it was perfect. For those who feel that the paddle makes too large a hole in the bottom of the loaf, I did not. However, I know this is not recommended by the manufacturers, but in the past I have found that it is not difficult after the last knead to lift the dough in a bread maker and ease out the paddle, put the dough back in the pan and continue with the bake. This only leaves a small "post hole" in the bottom of the loaf. I will be trying the wholemeal bread recipe tomorrow.
Great bread. Ridiculously hard-to-read screen – I absolutely detest the almost invisible LCD screen readout. OK, it's not illuminated or back lit but even just to have the writing characters darkened when the unit is on would have helped immensely. I need a torch to read it as it is the palest light grey writing. If I had realized this issue when shopping, I definitely wouldn't have purchased it. Great bread LCD screen

Burn out flop – Purchased this machine in August 2012 along with a Sunbeam food mixer. While the food mixer lasted only a very short time before it broke down, (see my other review) we thought the Kambrook KBM300 bead maker might have helped to offset the waste of money spent on the food mixer. Boy were we wrong! We haven't used the bread maker all that often;… Read more
I estimate we cooked about three bread loaves and mixed perhaps half a dozen pizza bases. Today it packed it in with smoke pouring out the back of it. What a complete waste of money! From our experience, this bread maker is not worth the paper the guarantee is written on!
Never again Kambrook - you'll go straight to the bottom of the heap with Sunbeam as far as we're concerned. The nice sleek style. Extremely poor value for money and typical of the rubbish people are expected to pay for these days.
Great machine – I have had this machine a while now & love it. I regularly make bread for lunches, do dough so I can make dinner rolls, the brownie is beautiful and I have also attempted jam. This is messy, but makes a perfect jam every time. Gives me more time with the family instead of hovering over the oven! I also live in north qld so despite humidity no… Read more
problems. Perfect loaf every time, convenience. Price Nothing really, but the beeping always makes me think something's wrong
Disappointed – We bought ours in April 2012, having owned a smaller model. We have been using it to simply mix pizza dough once a month since then. This week, it just stopped working. The kneading function does nothing and the element continues to heat up. Basically it is now useless. Disappointing, but what I have now come to expect from the el cheapo quality… Read more
control of goods now made in China. I will never buy another one. Reasonably priced Occasionally made uncooked bread in the center and hard to reset the menu function once going.

Sooooooo disappointed – I waited such a long time for one of these and finally my son bought me one for xmas. I had used a different brand years ago and loved it so was thrilled to get this one. Went out and bought all the ingredients listed and got started on my very first loaf...ohhhhh what a disaster, like a raw crumpet. Thinking I had done something wrong I had… Read more
another go....and another, and another.I had more "raw crumpet look", followed by a huge lump of uncooked dough, then back to undersized, raw crumpet look. Well by the fifth loaf and a $12 packet of Bakers flour, not to mention the waste of electricity,I gave up, after so many times of trying I am convinced nothing that comes out of this machine will be any good. Size of unit, nice and compact Didn't do what it advertisied it would.

Yummy bread from a great little machine – This is a great little breadmaker. Its a bit noisy though, but most bread machines are. It also took me about 5-6 attempts to get a good loaf, experimenting with different recipes. Then I tweaked the recipe until it was perfect. Now I get a good loaf every time. I found that the recipes in the book were terrible, but perhaps that is because I… Read more · 1
live in a very humid environment (the bread was doughy and chewy). The problem is different humidity will require different amounts of water, and different ambient temperatures can affect the rise of the bread. Different flours make a difference too.
My favourite basic recipe is 210ml water, 325g wallaby bakers flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon bread improver, and just under a teaspoon of yeast. I use the small loaf size on French bread setting. Make sure you remove the loaf straight after its done and put it on a cooling rack if you want a crunchy crust. I find the crust is even crunchier if I cut off an end and tilt the rack so the hot humid air can escape the cut off end (the steam coming out is what can make the crust go soft and soggy). Once it is 100% cool I put it in a metal bread box with the cut end down (to keep it sealed) and this seems to keep it fresh for the 2-3 days (I only ever make a small loaf so we always have fresh bread). Its also stays fresher i-f you cut the bread just before eating it, and it cuts easier once the bread is fully cooled (it tears a bit if its still hot). It works out about 70 cents for a small loaf for very yummy bread (1 1/2 small loafs would be equal to a store loaf in size). The small loaf makes the perfect size slice of bread for the toaster.
It has a good range of settings to meet most needs. The paddle is bent so it tears a hole in the bottom of the bread, but this doesn't bother me. The pan is non stick and easy to clean. I wouldn't recommend the jam setting unless you want to make a mess - just make your jam and chutney in the microwave instead. Its faster and cleaner. I have made bread every 1-2 days for the last 6 months and this machine has held up well. You could pay 2-3 times more and get a better machine, but for a small family this has everything you need.
I highly recommend this breadmaker if you want a nice little machine which makes good bread. yummy bread, price, non stick pan, easy cleaning, lots of settings a bit noisy, bent paddle tears hole in bread, bad recipes in booklet
This is a very good product – This kambrook kbm300 turns out a well baked and well browned loaf , time after time, it is very easy to use. I have used recipes that did not come from instruction manual as well and they turned out perfect.I bought the bread maker from the Good Guys for less than $80,has to be best value bread maker out there.I have used more expensive ones that were not near as good, good one kambrook. Does what it says on the box Nothing
Died after only half a year! – Brought this machine just over half a year ago and it is not under guarantee. It made a beautiful loaf and was easy to use. We make bread every day, sometimes 2 loaves a day and are very disappointed that it has stopped working. Wondering if it was worth getting it looked at?
but everything has a minimum 1 year warranty?
Curved kneading blade design flaw – After having had a brilliant Panasonic Breadmaker for many years until it finally gave in, purchased the Kambrook. First thing noticed was the major difficulty in getting a loaf out without causing a major hole in the bottom - practically impossible because of the bent blade design. Secondly, poor browning. Even on the darkest setting you get a very light and insipid loaf. Good size for storage Bent kneading blade, poor browning
I would say you have a faulty machine I have had no problems with browning at all. With your bread… Read more (+1 reply)
Unfortunately disappointed – I bought this breadmaker after reading the positive comments yet had no such luck. I have had a Panasonic before, and it was so much better. I have made a white loaf, yet it didn't rise properly and brownies that came out undercooked in the centre. I measured things scientifically. Easy to clean, simple design, cheap Poor quality results
Excellent Breadmaker – Brought this unit last week after reading the reviews on here. Cost $68 :). Have made 3 loaves so far, all delicious. Instructions are easy to understand and unit is easy to use as a novice baker. Can't wait to see what other delights I can make with this! Have so far used recipes that came with the breadmaker. Pity I never bought one sooner!
First time bread machine user – I have often made bread in the past but would use my kitchenaid mixer with the dough hook attachment and then bake in the oven which made lovely bread but I would have bowls and pans of proving bread spread all over the kitchen. I originally intended to buy a more expensive machine but read the great reviews for this one and found it online… Read more
for $68!!!! so decided to give it a go.
I have mad a sourdough and a white loaf using the Lauke packs that I always use and they are both lovely loaves with nice crusts.
I suspect that the more expensive units might be a little more robust and possibly easier to clean as the bread pan and interior of this unit all seems fairly lightweight and basic but at this point it's doing a good job and baking nice bread so I'm very happy. Is a little difficult to get the loaf out of the tin too. Bakes good bread and was very cost effective. Doesn't seem very robust and loaf doesn't come out of the tin easily.
Good Value for Money – I've been pretty happy with my bread maker. I've baked bread in it a few times & successfully baked a Banana Bread in it today. The only things I've noticed that are a bit of a downside is that the machine could knead for a bit longer & the kneading blade could be a bit longer. The bread has been coming out a bit dense but tastes pretty good.… Read more · 2
I'm going to try a different flour tomorrow in the hope that the loaf is a little lighter. The kneading blade is a little bit of a pain to remove & it's a little difficult to clean around where it sits.
The options are a little restricted but I've managed to work out a way to manipulate them so that I can get the desired outcome. We also noticed that when the machine is kneading the bread, it tends to jump around the bench a bit so we've put a non slip mat under it. Overall though it's good value for money. Value for money, good size, convenient Kneading blade too small, doesn't knead long enough, restricted options

Absolutley Brilliant ! – I purchased this Breadmaker today based on the 2 reviews here....and it was on sale for wait for it $68.00. I bought it to make spelt bread and I have baked a white and wholemeal loaf already. They turned out fantastic. Beautiful crusts . It beeps on the 2nd needing for you to add fruit or nuts (who needs a fancy auto dispenser ) I have never used… Read more · 1
a breadmaker before and the functions on this little beauty are incredible.I was so pleased with it I gave my son the cash to buy one for himself tomorrow. Easy to clean. Bread came out easy. I like everything.
So far so good! – Have made two loaves so far using the same multigrain breadmix I used in my old, failing, breadmaker, for comparison purposes. I used the wholegrain program and the bread is crusty and rose well, delicious compared to the bricks I had been getting. It came out of the loaf tin easily and was a good size to slice. Quiet, efficient, makes good bread,… Read more
and is quite lightweight to lift out of the cupboard, and to bring back from Darwin (to East Timor) in my luggage.
Great machine – I found the Kambrook bread machine a great way to make my bread. I've been making my own bread by hand, but it took me a bit of time so I decided to try a bread machine and I am so glad I did. It is so simple, I have a choice of 3 different sizes ( 450g, 680g and 900g), and it has 3 crust colour settings. I put in my ingredients and away it goes,… Read more
(I set and forget) My whole family love the bread that I bake and I love using it. Choice of 3 sizes and its so simple to use. I had a bit of trouble getting the baked bread out of the tin, but if I leave it for 20 to 30 minutes in the tin, it then slides out.
Great machine – Bread never tasted sooo good or pizza dough. Does all the work for you and I love this machine. Very easy to use and the price was fantastic. Some machine cost a fortune but we went for this machine as it was not too expensive as it was great value for money Cheap, easy to use, hot fresh bread, reliable, 15 hr timer is great, bread sizes, can make… Read more
