Be wary of misleading packaging! Your purchase may fall short of what you expect. Compare the Kellogg’s packaging with Sanitarium’s. Kellogg’s is barely 1/2 full. This is not a one off, all packets are the same.

I have coeliac disease and enjoy eating this cereal, it is tasty. I like the fact that it has added vitamins and minerals that are important in a coeliac diet. However, I have one complaint - there are FAR too many sultanas in it, comprising a whopping 24% according to the ingredients label on the box. This increases the sugar content more than I would like (19.9g per 100g). I wonder if they do this to bulk up the weight and in so doing reduce overheads. Sultanas are relatively cheap when bought separately, so this cereal is quite an expensive gluten free product taking that into account. I contacted Kellogg's online asking if they would consider also making Gluten Free Bran Flakes without the sultanas, hence providing a lower sugar content option (and considering how many non-gluten free bran cereal variations they have on offer too). I got no reply, so after waiting a couple of months I rang up and asked if my suggestion might be taken up. I was told that because I didn't get a reply, it meant their answer was no!

A good hit of bran – Kelloggs Gluten Free Sultana Bran is high in fibre. When I was younger I would not touch it..now I am older it is part of my morning routine.I find it beneficial for keeping my body happy. It holds its integrity with both cold and warm milk. It is exceptionally delicious with a chopped banana and honey. I paid $7 for a 350 gram pack. I don’t like the fact it is made in the Republic of Korea…but…I can’t really do anything about that.
