Had this fridge 6 years. Is now leaking refrigerant underneath. Everything is 8-12 degrees Celsius. Just had to throw away so much food (dairy, milk, meat)after doing $450 shop for our family of 5 yesterday Fridge temp was always average, but fruit and veg in the crisper constantly icing over and spoiling. broke within 12-18 months of usage. Very average quality from what I believed to be the best fridge brand available in Australia. Called Kelvinator /Electrolux and they said for $299 someone could come look at it and repair it but no warranty or guarantees on the work. Time for a new fridge, obviously not a Kelvinator.
Nice shelves… but terrible fridge. Buy something else! – Fridge is very underpowered, and temperature controls are very suspect. It is a shame as the shelving and cabinetry are great. But a fridge needs to be a fridge! Show details
Third failure – From my earlier review, that was caused by bad evaporator fan, replaced about 9 months after we bought it. Replaced under warranty. The technician mentioned this series was built with a bad bath of such fans. That was followed by a broken defrost sensor, also replaced just under warranty. noise. My guess it's the evaporator fn again. About 2 years after replacing.

avoid any kelvinator fridge – purchased 21/03/2018. Died 21/03/2021. It was never terribly cold, found out yesterday why. The evaporator fan died. According to the refrigerator repairer this is the first time he has ever seen this as they don't fail - at least not after 3 years. Fit for purpose - no. this is entirely reasonable that it fails after 3 years. If this was the case then you would expect them to have at least one replacement part in Perth. Alas no, it fails that infrequently there are none in the warehouse and it has to be shipped from the east. DO NOT BUY ANY KELVINATOR CRAP !!!
There is something defective with this model – We purchased this fridge in 2019. It was incredibly noisy from the start but then started to get this hum that sounded like a helicopter, the vegetable crisper started freezing the vegetables and we had to throw them out. again. A technician came out again and he advised that it couldn't be fixed and it would need to be replaced. I took a third day off work to wait for the delivery of the new fridge. Everything was good again for a while until the noise started again. This time worse, it was like a jet engine was cranking up in the kitchen, it was waking us up at night at the other end of the house. Ice was building up in the freezer, the core temperature in the fridge was low and food was spoiling. The vegetable crisper was freezing over. The technician was called. He said the fridge would need to be taken away for repair and a replacement fridge provided. We raised a complaint with Electrolux and after a number of phonecalls and requests to have our issue escalated to management we were offered a refund. Judging from the other comments there appears to be a fault with this model.
Perfect. Saves ne bending over all of the time – The bottom mount freezer means that 95% of my fridge requirements are at a level where I don't have to bend over. When I do need the freezer, there are 2 slide out drawers and 1 slide out shelf. Godsend. Show details
Great large bottom mount fridge – Love this fridge. It is extremely large with tonnes of room inside. No fuss, no awkward shelves or wasted space with gimmicks. The shelves are super easy to remove and clean. Or just as easy to clean whilst in the fridge. The finish is great. Runs fairly silently. Love it! Show details
RIP THE DOORS OFF AND USE IT AS A SWIMMING POOL – Same complaint as others in regards to freezer working fridge not working. known brand at home and will give it a go. All this thing has done from new is sit in one place in one house and been expected to do its job. Very noisy as the manual stated so couldn't complain. In December 2019 started making alot more noise so much so the bedroom door had to be shut. Also fridge temperatures were going up and down which is great just before Christmas. It came good again so ok lets see what happens we thought. Still very noisy. Late Feb early March fridge temps changing agin to the point it was ambient temperature in the fridge. Freezer still working. Appliances online were called and of course cannot do anything as it is just out of warranty, what a surprise. They said they put a call through to Kelvinator of whoever needs to know and they would call me. Nothing to date, that was more than a week ago. It is clear that this fridge as an inherent problem indicated by the same complaints just on this site, let alone others. Technicians clearly know there is a fault. In my fridge the condenser keeps icing up, the condenser fan doesn't work, or does intermittently and stops. This blows the cool air from the freezer into the fridge. I had to let the condenser defrost and it froze up itself and the fan. the fan then did then start working again but has stopped again now. The temperature control slides for the fridge and freezer have no feel to them, particularly the freezer so trying to get a setting that works is not possible. So we are currently using our camping fridge. Amazing a small fridge that gets thrown around in the back of a car works perfectly over many years but a purpose built house fridge doesn't. No i wouldn't buy another one of these, ever.

don't waste your money – I bought this fridge less than 12 months ago. In the last couple of weeks the fridge hasn't felt cold. Have bought a thermometer and it is sitting on 13 degrees. Bought it in February. Nothing but problems – We feel we bought a lemon with this fridge in February 18. It worked well when first bought then during the night we thought we had a helicopter in the kitchen. Took Kelvinators technician 4 days to come and fix the problem. nothing wrong with it. Same thing happened twice since. We called again and thankfully they are sending someone else for a second opinion. Hopefully to have it resolved. We still can’t work out what caused the problem.
Amazing fridge – This fridge is create for a family. The design is great lots of space for food fridge side, space for food and containers for fruit and veggies. The freeze is very spacious. And the the doors open and close very easily. I would highly recommend this to anyone that asks. Show details
Awesome big fridge – We absolutely love this fridge. Heaps of room, runs quiet, looks fantastic, doesn't use alot of power. I got the fridge up the top and the freezer down the bottom and I'm really happy with the set up. We can't fault it to be honest and appliance on line delivered it to our home and took the old fridge away. Very happy all round. Show details

2 breakdown in less than 4 months – When we bought this new fridge end of december 2017, we were quite happy. Then, we had a first breakdown 4 months later... the fan stopped working on a Saturday, customer service doesnt work on weekend, called them on monday, the person came to fix it on wednesday! I’m very happy customer – Love the sliver finish it’s very practical I’m very happy with the space it’s maintain a extremely well temperature for the fridge and freezer you can’t hear it when it’s working I would recommend kelvinator to anyone just wished they were still made in Australia but the fridge is excellent. Good fridge for the price – Have had this refrigerator/freezer combo for around 5 months. Very quiet, fridge can be set to a very low temperature (practically to freezing point). Glasses shelves are easy to remove and clean. Freezer maintains temperature very well but is not quite as spacious as it seems. Silver colored model exterior shows fingerprints prominently.
