How old is this fridge
Hi Mary Review sent me your question. I don't know if you are replying to me, whose parents bought it 40 yrs ago, or not? Anyway my neighbor pulled off the plate inside fridge & cleaned out the tube from back of freezer which was clogged. KELVINATOR GOING STRONG INTO IT'S 41ST YEAR!! I think 1982/83 model.
Thanks for that but have decided not to buy this particular fridge

How old would a kelvinator KTM 5200 wb fridge be what year did they get made we have one but cant remember how long we have owned it . It died 2 days ago im sure we have only had it a couple of years but my memory is shot
Our ktm3900wb model kelvinator fridge has been very good. however, we find we need to keep the freezer temperature control at the "warmest" setting otherwise it creates lost of ice. Is this a sign of it heading towards failure.
In my opinion, your fridge needs a regass.
Thank you. We had a technician replace a fan less than a year ago. Could need a regas as fridge works fine so has freezer since the fan was replaced but now "manufactures" ice. Thank you again.
Too cold or making ice has nothing to do with gas. If there's a gas problem, it won't be cold enough. A bad seal letting humid air in would be one possible cause of ice.
why the doors of the 460 liter top mount are hard to shut?
Why the doors are hard to shut on the 460 litre?
The doors are heavy, however I would check that there isn't anything impeding the door when trying to close it.
Does the kelvinator need gassing if the fridge temperature isn't working while the freezer part is?
No they don't.
My fridge is freezing food in the fridge side of it and it’s been barley used over the last three fridge as it’s in our holiday house. Where can it be fixed ? 5495
Hmm this never happened to me, I’m sure you’ve probably tried this but have you adjusted the fridge temperature? Knobs should be on the top towards the middle. Where the knobs are located is very easy to bump and accidentally change the temperature, I used to do this all the time and wouldn’t notice till days later.
Sorry couldn’t be of much help.
Try adjusting the temperature in your fridge, you will find the controls in the fridge, just above the top shelf in the fridge. I hope this helps.

What years where these manufactured?
Is there a model KYM 3900MBR stainless on the market?
Sorry, I can't help on this one.
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a second hand KTM4400WB-L*6, which I can't seem to find in the range. Can you give me some info on this fridge please?
Kind regards,
Anna.
Hi Anna, My new fridge is Kelvinator KTM4200WBRH 420L. Did you search the Internet? The fridge you are considering is a different model to mine. I would find out how many years old is the fridge because it is second-hand. Maybe Electrolux the manufacturer will assist with further info.
Hi Kelvinator, I have a side by side 2 door fridge/freezer (white) model KSM6100WF. Approx 2-3 years old. Purchased through Masters Roxburgh Park Melbourne.
Ever since we've had it, it has made an unusual noise on starting up. As i could never find our receipt and it has never seemed to affect its operation, i haven't really worried about getting it looked at.
My wife has recently noticed that the panel between both doors (facing outwards with doors open) gets warm/hot , from top to bottom. Is this normal? Should we be concerned?
Thanks for your time Steve

Hello. We purchased the fridge about 18 months ago and it appears that the freezer is defrosting and refreezing on a regular basis over the past few weeks. Is this a compressor issue or something else ? We are always careful to close the freezer door properly so it is not that. Also now seems that the thermostat control for the fridge only seems to go just past the midpoint on the way to colder, at the third last line position not to the last line position (which we thought it did previously ?). Fridge part seems to be functioning OK, Just wondering if you can suggest something ? Thanks, Stephen.
Sorry I don't think I can help you here.... I only have had fridge for about 6 weeks.... Can only suggest you contact Electrlox.. the manufactors
My fridge did this after I had had the compressor replaced under warranty where I had to pay the labour, I got the service company out again and they tested it and said the new compressor wasn't operating properly. They were bit wishy washy about the whole thing, one person said they were getting me another compressor, another said I had cracks in my freezer which could be causing the compressor not to be working properly, I was offered couple hundred dollars off a new fridge by electrolux but I had already paid $200 for labour to do a non fix and the service company said they wouldn't refund the money.

Hi Stephen. I doubt that I can help you with your problem. I ended ip having to get an outside repairmanin because I got sick of waiting for a response from Electrolux and I was having to throw fo
Sorry. Pressed the submit button by mistake. Throw food out. My problem was that my unit wasn't freezing or refrigerating.
6 weeks ago I purchased the 520ltr fridge freezer, top mount, today it is not cooling properly, freezer will only go to10 deg and fridge 15 deg, not much in it so it's not overloaded, tried adjusting temp control but nothing happened.Purchased at Masters, they say ring kelvinator but I cannot be without a fridge?
I'm pretty sure Masters has to deal with this. 6 weeks is nothing. Once the warranty wears out you then have to take it to the manufacturers. Give consumer affairs a quick ring. I highly recommend this. It will be well worth your time and put your worried mind at ease :)
I didn't realise kelvinator is owned by the horrid Electrolux until now. They are horrible to deal with and extremely rude. This is probably why masters is pushing you to deal with them. Don't fall for it. Call Consumer affairs on 1300 30 40 54
Should water pool in the back of the fridge where water drains out? Have had this fridge for 2 months and was cleaning the back and noticed a litre of water had gathered there.
I've never had this issue. Could it be a leak from something in the fridge or condensation from having the door ajar?
You mean where the motor is in the back where the drain bucket is?
Then yes, my fridge always did it and was almost always full.
Hope this helps.
