I have just bought one. Tried to make coleslaw and it would not chop cabbage,it went all mashey. An the rest of the cabbage would not blend in. please help me?
I've never tried to shred cabbage before but I could imagine the blades being so sharp would have almost pureed the cabbage! I use it more for pureeing and just recently put all ingredients in to make a delicious apple crumble topping. I also use it to make breadcrumbs and it works just perfectly.
I also think it would process the cabbage too finely to suit coleslaw. Be careful using it for anything bulkier because the spindle connecting the lid and the processor is not very robust on this model. Mine broke twice with little obvious reason so I have switched to a different brand.
This would only mush things like cabbage, you would need a slicing type attachment like food processes have.
How can I see a demonsration of HB720
There may be a demonstration on the Kenwood website. I don't know of anywhere where they do in-store demonstrations.
Hi Bernie61, I am not sure if there is one, but go to external link there are vidoes on that site of some of Kenwoods more expensive items, but I could not see one for this model. I still recommend this product and use it all the time. Maybe you could contact Kenwood from this site and see if they could email you a demonstration. Hope this helps. Cassie
