I have just bought the lovely shack with a mud kitchen cubby house; the quality of the wood is flimsy and thin, and of poor quality. It arrived with so much damage. I wouldn't recommend this at all. With the money you pay, you would expect better quality. After paying the price for the cubby, you have to spend over $700 for the paint, which you… Read more
have to use under the warranty. Although this cubby looks wonderful in the photos, they show it is certainly not made from strong materials. I Hope with all the damage they will give me a refund

An honest review (Note I have been blocked from there FB site due to an honest comment I made about the poor quality of this company) We spent over $3,600 on a Kidzshack cubby/swing set/mud kitchen for our two year old, and the quality has been extremely disappointing. Despite three coats of Dulux Weather shield paint and a properly prepared… Read more
base with concrete pavers, the timber has already cracked, aged badly, and feels weak in several areas. For something marketed as premium and “Australian”, it’s clearly a cheap imported product with sub‑par materials from China.
Customer service has been just as poor. We received two slides, both defective, and during the email exchange Kidzshack even changed the subject line to “Not urgent – Barely any cracks” before replying to my wife with that heading. They refunded the slide portion, but we now have to source a replacement ourselves at our own time and cost. Communication around our Christmas layby was last‑minute and disorganised, and when we arrived to collect the order, not everything was even available. To top it off, after making a truthful comment on one of their Facebook posts, I was blocked from their page entirely.
For a purchase of this value, the quality, professionalism, and after sales support should be far better. Instead, we’ve been left with a poorly made product, which will no doubt have ongoing issues, and a company that shuts down honest feedback. I would not recommend Kidzshack to anyone, ever. Please do your research and choose a business that stands behind its products and treats customers with respect.
Thank you.
If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Pick a different company like hide and seek kids, this company is not worth the headache. It took 4 months for me to get my daughters Cubby delivered. I had to constantly follow up, there was no communication from the staff or the manager. After arguing for it, they eventually refunded me the… Read more
delivery fee, and gave me another false ETA of 1-2 weeks. After nothing was delivered, I followed up again with another email to the manager, [Name Removed], questioning the ETA and didn't even get a reply. Then finally on delivery day, my partner was made to offload the items because only 1 driver was booked, despite me asking for 2 drivers. I hope their cubby house quality is better than their customer service because I can only imagine how horrendous it'll be if I have to return something. Instead of my daughter getting her cubby for her birthday, now we have to delay till Christmas.
I wanted to share some disappointing feedback about our recent experience with Kidzshack after ordering a cubby house for my son’s birthday. When I placed the order, I selected the Melbourne pick-up option, but I was never contacted to arrange collection. When I followed up, I was told I’d been missed on the list. I then organised a pick-up time… Read more
and was told I’d receive a confirmation email with all the details and a slip to present at collection, but that email was never sent to me. I had to chase it up myself on the morning of pick-up, which was pretty frustrating, especially given the two-hour time difference between Melbourne and Kidzshack headquarters.
I also had to follow up separately about the Taubmans discount that wasn’t sent as promised.
When we finally built the cubby, we realised that all the swing parts were missing. After a few follow-ups, the swing set was eventually sent out, and Emma (the owner) mentioned she’d include some extra accessories as an apology. Unfortunately, the swing parts didn’t arrive until after my son’s birthday — about three and a half weeks after my first email — and there were no extra accessories included. On top of that, there were STILL pieces missing (seats, ropes, screws, instructions, etc.).
After another round of chasing things up, we finally got the rest of the parts, again three and a half weeks after advising them of the missing parts.
When we went to set it up, we realised the swing doesn’t attach to the cubby the way it appears in the website and Instagram photos — it actually connects much further forward according to the instructions. Because of that, we can’t fit the swings in the space we’d prepared. If we have the swing instructions initially we would’ve set up the whole area differently.
Overall, it’s been a really disappointing and drawn-out experience. My son loves the cubby itself, so at least that part has been worth it, but it’s been frustrating that we can’t use the swings as planned — especially after putting in the effort to paint and prepare all the timber while waiting for the missing pieces and instructions.
Strange company to try deal with – Such a strange and unprofessional company to deal with. They won’t answer questions and fake advertise. And the strange thing is they don’t have any reviews anywhere but claim to be in business for over 10 years. That is definitely a red flag. I’m starting to think it might be a scam or really bad business. So glad I didn’t go through with my purchase.
