I’m a back sleeper.

I waited hoping that I’d get used to it. But I did not. So contacted them after 1.5 yrs to ask if this is an issue with the mattress. Apparently it is not. It’s the mattress’s way of contouring to your body and it’s expected. Their comfort guarantee only allows you to change comfort level from medium to firm or soft but I still had to pay $600+. I decided to give it another chance and went ahead to change comfort level to firm. We also tried firm at the shop and it seems comfortable.

After comfort change, it was fine until a few weeks, it still sags so it needs to be turned again 2-3 weeks. It was ok for a few weeks but now It gives me back pain. I have to sleep in another room with a Koala mattress to give me good sleep.

I think it’s better to be able to try a bed for at least 2 months and have the option to return if it doesn’t work out or at least partially refund. You won’t know just by trying at the shops for a few minutes.

After the second return, we were advised the only solution was to switch to a firm feel, as apparently that was the only way to prevent sagging. We reluctantly agreed, but the same sagging issues have happened again.

Now, with the most recent return, we’ve been left waiting for over four months with no resolution. The mattress was finally picked up for inspection, and we were given a loan mattress that we were told would be for two weeks. It’s now been six weeks.

I’ve called three times for an update and was promised a manager would return my call. It’s now been two weeks since the last call, and still no contact. The excuse? I was told to be understanding because "the managers are busy in meetings."

In short: - The mattress quality is terrible — repeated sagging and discomfort. The customer service is even worse — slow and unresponsive

I strongly recommend avoiding King Koil. This has been one of the most frustrating purchases we’ve ever made.

originally purchased the 'Medium' firmness, it was so incredibly soft that you continue to sink in the longer you lay there, leading at least for myself, to an uncomfortable sleep. I went back a week later to speak to them about this, and my mattress was taken to be fitted with a 'firm' topper instead, at my expense of $500. Still I sink, still I'm uncomfortable. The indent is significant and I do wake up in pain often (I'm only 25 with no pre-existing conditions for reference). The mattress is now 1.5 years old and I haven't 'gotten used to it'. I had been a side sleeper but now I have to sleep on my back, ill even put a pillow under my back to prop myself tilted partially to the side to have a better sleep. While I recognise I have a responsibility of choosing that mattress, I truly feel that the one at the store did not represent what I received. I went back that second time and laid on it for a significant time, convinced it was not the same. In future, once I've convinced myself I'm allowed to purchase a new mattress after the discomfort I'm putting myself through as some self-imposed punishment for buying this expensive regret, I'll purchase one that has some sort of 100-day sleep guarantee or something. It's too important a purchase to not have that security in my opinion.

of gone straight back to the store but my partner said leave it, but i have been in agony since owning this mattress nothing but aches and pains, feeling fed up of waking up in pain every morning. Mattress so uncomfortable and feels like it sags in the middle. Feel totally ripped off, our 20 year old mattress was better than this expensive one. So much for upgrading! and I both wake up with back pain every morning. We tried to lodge a claim through the manufacturer however they are less than helpful & claim that it is “acceptable” sagging and general wear & tear. This mattress retails for over $7000 (luckily we got it for $3829 when Forty Winks had a deal) and now we are looking to purchase a new one, never again will we purchase another King Koil mattress.

bin. Do not waste your money on this product, you will come out with all sorts of pain. I wish I had bought a cheap mattress and am now considering buying a cheap mattress just so I can get a proper nights sleep and not waking up with constant pain. Absolute rubbish of a product! Very comfortable indeed – I have had this bed now for two years snd really loved it at first. refused to help at all. in the mean time our backs were getting more sore by the day because the hip area was dipping greatly. someone else came to see it and said that it wasn't a manufacturer fault and that the amount of sag was within acceptable range. REALLY?? So care factor zero once the purchase is done. zero after sales quality control from people who claim that they are making beds which people can feel comfortable on and get a good night rest. so liars as well because i wasn't sleeping and they didn't care. AHBeard management should realise that it is there duty of care to ensure that their product does what its meant to do and it doesn't matter if the sag is within their acceptable range it still means i'm not sleeping and i need to spend money on seeing a massage therapist which i didn't need to do prior to owning this bed. SO it is a manufacturer fault when this happens and you are just looking for loop holes to get out. so I did get a refund but only when I got mad enough and every night when i woke up in the middle of the night because i couldn't sleep i sent a text every now and then to the rep to ask if he was sleeping well because I wasn't. I also threatened to bring the mattress on a van and park outside of their shop and tell people what I was going through. (sleep deprivation makes you very angry) I guess he got sick of not sleeping and I got a refund. for those out there going through same a saggy bed within a few years is not acceptable and please dont let the bed companies get away with this behaviour because they know that most customers will be too embarrassed or too shy to do anything and they get away with it. I am weary not of trying the AH Beard beds again but very scared about the lack of customer service caring. when a customer purchases a product everyone gives great customer service but the proof is in how you are treated when something goes wrong. waiting on some spring components to be shipped in from China. So in fact the mattress isn’t 100% made in Australia. I have asked the sales staff which opponents are made overseas and what is made locally, and it seems like you just get lied to. Buyer beware...

Worth the investment – I'm very pleased with my purchase 6 weeks ago from 40 winks for $3800. The bed is supportive, cool and comfortable. My back doesn't hurt anymore in the morning. Worried now I have read complaints about springs popping out but I sleep alone and their are no children jumping up and down with excitement. return. The San Siro is a heavy mattress and we bought a gas lift bed based on the weight of the mattress. The loan mattress while ours was being repaired was too light for the bed and and the bed would not stay down without added weight on it. Should have gone to Making Mattresses who guarantee the sides to hold up. Won't buy from Domayne again as the care factor is nil and will not buy another AH Beard mattress.

BEST INVESTMENT MADE – I really recommend this model and brand. We had a cheap queen mattress and made us hurt our back every night. We ended up having inflammation in our chest. After purchasing this mattress and matching base from Forty Winks, our sleep and wellbeing have been improved hips! A great asset with the new bed is that when one of us moves around in the night, the pocket springs inside ensure the other sleeper is not disturbed. Money well spent.

you buy a $5000AUD mattress for $3500 (Forty winks sale) you nit pick on everything, you look for issues and problems.

To be blatantly honest with you, This mattress is flawless for a sleep it's cool in summer and warm in winter (even with the gel). it's softer than a cloud and is great for my allergies.

We have a mattress Cover for it which makes the mattress slippery and Sheets fall off each night but this is a small price to pay for protecting your mattress and can be fixed with sheet clips/straps Reliable, Soft, Cool, thick, stable, well made, Mattress has handles. Really heavy, Requires large sheets, hard to change sheets of Framed bed.

Kind coild platinum luxury avignon – 6 star sleep. Only new i will keep you posted. So far it is the most comfortable bed i have slept in with paying to stay in a 5 star hotel.
