Ideal for sewing
I bought this iron to use when sewing and it's perfect for that. It heats up fast and cools down after 3-4 seams, so there's no risk of scorching or of getting distracted and forgetting it's turned on.
Between each seam I do, I set it back on the charging plate and by the time I've got the next seam ready, the iron is fully heated again and ready to go. Only takes about 8seconds to go from cold to max temperature, so it's not a bother at all.

Read moreeavy enough you don't have to press down hard but light enough that it's easy to move. Gets hot enough to iron cotton and linen wonderfully, and on the polyester setting it's never scorched or melted anything. Not ideal if you want to iron large pieces of material in one go, but it's still capable of doing that with a few breaks to reheat it. Best iron I've had, would definitely buy again.Purchased in at Kmart.

Wouldn't recommend
Bought this Iron at K Mart for $45 ....
Thought Cordless would be more convenient.
It didn't take long to heat up but also it didn't take long to cool down again while still ironing. Very annoying and time waisting.
Unfortunately I can't return it anymore, but just wanted to warn you...If you do a lot of Iron and need a really hot Iron, don't buy this one.
Purchased in for $45.

Deserves 10 Stars!!
I needed to upgrade, my last iron, also bought brand new from Kmart, was quite old. As i dont mind ironing, but needed an extra long cord, i came across the Anko cordless steam iron. This iron from Kmart, is simply amazing, and so easy to use, being cordless is an absolute plus!! Thanks Anko and Kmart!!

My iron no longer heats up why?
How long does it stay hot for?
About 30 secs to a minute I guess. It has always been hot enough to iron the fabric on the ironing board, I put it back on the base to charge when I move the fabric around to get to the next bit of that makes sense.
