Awesome product!! – Money well spent I’ve had mine since 2010 it’s still going strong, I use it regularly. It’s rubber guides, that brush around the grater are starting to brake down as to be expected. Honestly this machine has had a lot of use!, mainly hard Vege as I prefer strong tastes. The pulp extractor blocks majority of the time, I just use a knife to clear as… Read more
its juicing so not that much of a major! I’m in need of new rubber guides, pulp & juice container too. Overall love this machine
Broken from the first time you use it – Bought this product and it broken from the first time after the first use. Return it to kogan and it took ages to get it replaced. I asked for refund other than return and Kogan refused to do it. Use the replacement and it got broken again. Please don't buy it at all.
Juicer Keeps Breaking – So my partner got me a the Kogan Wide Mouth Cold Press Juicer for a Christmas gift and I was too happy! I have been buying my cold press juices for $9.99 (it adds up). After 2 weeks the juicer broke. The orange / yellow basket was all fractured and cracked and the juicer eventually burnt out. Kogan replaced the unit under warranty (a month long… Read more
process).
I just got the new juicer today and to try and prolong the juicers life i decided to use smaller pieces (which rendered the 'wide mouth' a totally useless addition) and diced everything up to smaller pieces and put less in at a time so not to 'overload' the unit.
Well after one day the yellow / orange basket is all cracked and fractured again and only a matter of time I guess until the unit is again broken.
The juicer does a good job of extracting juice, even from kale and greens, it just is made of cheap plastic and isn't not strong enough to handle the power of its own motor.
Very very disappointed at how quickly the units keep breaking but for the price what more can you expect I guess?
Excellent value for money and works well – For just under $50 (plus $12 postage) this cold press juice extractor is amazing value. Named brands cost $350 and more and yet surprisingly this $50 Kogan unit works very well at extracting the orange juice from fresh oranges, which is all I have used it for. It is not Sunbeam Cafeteria standard cast steel, but then it's not that price range… Read more
either. Tiny bit fiddly getting the last bit of orange pith out when you clean up, but perhaps they all are. Most importantly it makes wonderful fresh orange juice. I use 9 or 10 oranges, peel off the skin, cut into quarters and pop in the machine, this makes about 1.2 litres which I store in the fridge for a few days. Still tastes great 3 or 4 days later. I wouldn't want to do this every day! So yes would recommend, probably not for someone who wants filtered juice (which you shouldn't drink anyway), so great texture just enough pulp to give it that real juice experience. Only caveat is that I have only being using for 3 or 4 weeks, so can't tell you it will work forever, but so far great.
Kogan delivered very promptly, so on line experience very good. Came well protected, box within box.
Awesome value for money! – Follow up to my review Mar 13 2015 ... 5 months later and I said I'd be back once I had used vegetables also to make my review fair and here I am! What can I say? We have used our cold press constantly since purchase ... and I mean constantly. (5 times weekly at least). It's the ABSOLUTE, WICKED BEST!! No more spending ABSOLUTE AGES grating… Read more
1lb carrots for my carrot cake - nope - I cold press the carrots, pour the juice back into the pulp and voila - perfect!!! Has cut my time down in preparation ridiculously. Kale, celery, carrot - haven't had one problem, literally. I do ensure my vegetable pieces are relatively small - but so what? Takes me no time to do that and my results are always perfect! I swear I have no affiliation or connection to Kogan but this appliance has seriously been the best I have ever bought for my kitchen drudgery!
Annoyed! – Not much to review. The Kogan juicer burned out after only 3 days of use. No thermo cutoff.. Just made a pop sound and then the smoke. Kogan of Australia will not ship outside of OZ. Pay a little more and get a good quality Omega or Hurom. Stay away from Kogan When it worked Motor burned out.
Great for everything except greens – I juice everything and have done for about 35 years - I like the Kogan as the reallly wet stuff like oranges and watermelon are just about dry in the pulp so a lot of juice has been extraceted. But the tiny space in the sieve basket that allows the pulp to flow out its own shute is blocked with the smallest amount of anything green ie mint,… Read more
spinich, kale, celery - even by trying to feed a very small amount of this through between and with the other ingredients like apple, cucumber, carrots etc it soon clogs. The only way to release it is to dismantle the unit as if finished juicing, and push the pulp out. There is no way that flushing with some water helps, as I've tried, as it's blocked with greens. It's a real disappointment on an otherwise seemingly good machine. Greens are an important part of juice making and now little can be in mine if I continue with the Kogan. The shute for juice is about 8 times larger than the shute for pulp which doesn't make sense when one is liquid and one is semi solid. I hope it's something that can be rectified. I'm stuck with this one for now until I find one that has a more efficient output shute. I poke the handle of the cleaning brush up the pulp shute trying to dislodge the blockage but it's actually stuck in the small hole at the base of the sieve basket and then the juice has grains in it rather than smooth juice. I don't mind a bit of fine pulp in it but now my children won't drink it unless it's then seived into their glass. So time consuming and disappointing.
Perfectly adequate performance, great price – I've been very happy with the performance of my Kogan juicer after regular 3-times-weekly usage for several months. I juice quartered oranges and apples mainly, after trimming the peel off the whole orange, and cut out small pieces to miss the apple seeds, and I never fail to get lots of juice and dry pulp. Yes its fiddly to clean, but I've got… Read more
better at that, yeah a little noisy but my coffee appliances are much more so, I was looking for reasonable juicing performance at a bargain price and this unit delivers in spades.
OK for carrots, won't juice kale – The first juicer worked for 3 seconds and then died. Kogan replaced it and the replacement juicer works. So far I've only used it for carrots, apples and kale. It handles carrots well. The pulp is fairly wet and there is a reasonable amount of pulp in the juice, so I run it through a strainer afterwards. Next time I will make carrot fritters… Read more
out of the pulp. The apples go through as mashed apple rather than juice so I guess it can't remove the pulp properly. It cannot handle kale at all. The juicer's power stopped so I didn't know whether anything was stuck - with no power, the reverse switch is not an option. When I pulled it apart I found most of the kale in the bowl. What little had got further had clogged the top of the pulp chute. It was difficult to clean out so I don't know whether it's worth trying to juice anything other than carrots or similarly textured veggies.
Very pleased with juice, can be fiddly to clean the pulp chute – I've had my kogan cold press juicer for several weeks now and used it 3 or 4 times - I make big batches and keep in fridge for up to 4 days. Does an excellent job of juicing, leaving a nice dry pulp which I either feed to chooks/ponies or compost (depending on what I've juiced). Celery "strings" can get caught up in the chute and clog things up a… Read more
bit, so I juice that last now. Having read other reviews I'll be cutting my celery shorter from now on. Also made easier to clean once I discovered the rubber (plastic?) plug behind the pulp chute (underneath) - I don't think it's mentioned in the manual - although I do think that the pulp chute could do with a rethink on the design front, it's my only "irritation". I also run a jug of water through the machine when I'm finished which helps with cleaning. All in all excellent value for money if you get a "good" one. A friend of mine bought the same machine on my recommendation and it ran for 3 seconds and then "died". She's chasing kogan for a replacement. I would suggest investing in a longer warranty as experience with other kogan products has taught me that they're pretty good at replacing when you have warranty, but if machine dies two minutes out of warranty you can whistle in the wind.
Good if you are happy to have some roughage in your juice – i reviewed this as very good previously. i have now used it for 2 months. It now produces more roughage than before. Definitely not like a normal juiicer but the chewy bits are undoubtedly good for you.
Not for those who juice greens – Each time I've used my new cold press juicer, green leafy vegetables get caught in the extraction shute and the juicing process comes to and end. If you try to continue the pulp is past into the juice tube creating a sludge juice. Takes the shine off juicing!
Cut your vegies into blocks – After a lot of shopping around I took the plunge on the Kogan juicer. In short, it is excellent. We couldn't be happier. The pulp is dry - this is extremely important. Here are some important things to note: - cut your veggies and fruit into 2 cm chunks. A user complained that inserting a stick of celery or a whole carrot blocked up the… Read more
juicer. Well, that's a no-brainer considering the physics of the rotating masher.
- washing is required after every use, you can't just rinse it.
- the plastics are not super high quality but they 'do the job'
- the poly-carbonate used in the whole unit is not BPA free. Make your own educated decision here. We figure that the juice passed over the plastic and nothing is left to soak in plastic for more than a minute or two so not too worried.
This is a really good juicer. If you treat it correctly and don't test to see how big a piece of carrot it can handle it will do the job. Considering we could have bought a 5 year warranty I guess the manufacturer expects it to last. Does the job exceptionally well Cleaning is a pain but so it going to work. That's life.

Great value for money! – We purchased our Kogan Cold Press Slow Juicer from www.kogan.com.au for $79. For the price we paid, we are very happy with this purchase & the performance of this juicer. The juice comes out great! Yes, it takes a bit more time to clean in the beginning, but as we continue to use it, we are getting quicker & better with cleaning it after use. … Read more
Rinse the parts, especially the strainer straight away & using the brush provided in a circular motion helps get rid of the residue stuck to the strainer.
It is a bit noisy, but don't really know what sort of noise the more expensive versions make when in use. It does the job & it's no noisier than the blender we previously used for juicing. We have since purchased another 2 Kogan juicers for friends of ours'. Why pay over $200-$400 when you can get the same job done by a $79 machine? Go Kogan!!! Inexpensive & affordable & best of all, it does the job! A bit noisy, although don't know noise output of expensive slow juicers
Excellent value for money! – Bought my Kogan on ebay. I is my first juicer and I was apprehensive. I'm really impressed with it. I chop the veggies to fit the chute and cut the celery short so the long fibres don't get tangled. I've skipped this step a few times and it still juices them well. I haven't had a jam yet (I've had it about a month). The pulp comes out very dry… Read more
(worm farm fodder). You need to soak it right away and the steel strainer thing is a bit hard to clean but I just soak it till the brush gets it all off. I think all juicers of this style are a bit fiddly to clean. Once you have the hang of it, it's no problem. I juice twice a week and keep jars in the fridge for up to two days (exclude as much air as possible) so it's not a big deal. I can strongly recommend this juicer. At that price plus the 12 month warranty, you can't go wrong!!! reliable, inexpensive, leaves a very dry pulp
Kogan Cold Press Juicer – I just used my new juicer for the first time and found it to be excellent. I simply chopped my fruit and vegies into chunks to fit down the chute and it worked wonderfully well. the pulp was quite dry so I;m very happy with the amount of juice that was extracted. Amazingly low price.
Fantastic..better than I expected – I purchased this juicer after a friend recommended it. I was happy to have a little lower quality because of the price... But the quality has blown me away. Every juicer I have used before leaves messy moist scraps. The amount of juice removed is amazing.. The pulp is almost dry! Amazing value and great product. The amount of juice extracted It's a little fiddly to clean, but not to bad
Great jucer! – I'm not new to slow jucing and have had an Osca Neo for years and had just reciently sold it to a friend. In the search for another jucer I came accross the Kogan and at only $79.00 I got it more out of interest than need. As far as I an concerned, it the drynees of the fruit and veg that is expelled into the waste bin is very important and my… Read more
Kogan expells dryer waste than the $450.00 Osca. I was in Myer Indooroopilly in the homewares department reciently and they had an Hurom slow jucer for $400.00 on display so I removed the auger and basket and shock horror!!!! it is exactly the same as the $79.00 Kogan down to the last peice. They both have a 150 watt moter, the Hurom was prettier
Like all slow jucers you are better off making at least 1 liter of juce and then refrigerating the juce for next couple of days as it will keep for that that time and you save time on cleaningthe unit. Great juce yeild, simple to use and easy to clean Nothing
juicer - cold press juicer NOT THE BEST – Not overly impressed. This juicer isn't worth the time nor effort. The kogan cold press juicer may be affordable, however in my opinion it's a waste of time. Leaves so much pulp inside the machine... it is not economical. you end up throwing away most of the juice. messy to clean. not efficient Messy and very noisy
Useless – I received this 2 weeks late, when I got it i went and loaded up on fruit and vegetables to use. Fruit had to be cut up quite small to fit down the chute. I successfully juiced an apple after chopping it into small bits, when i was to put a slither of pear in, it jammed straight away, after unsuccessfully trying the reverse button as suggested by… Read more
the instruction I took it apart and cleaned it. Again trying to continue juicing after about the 3 slither of apple is jammed again, I unclogged it and started again. Yet again it jammed, I gave up! I'm not sure whether mine is just defective or the juicer itself it just useless. I'm waiting for a response from Kogan. Nothing Can't even juice soft fruit. Pieces have to be cut very small.
I agree totally. it is very wasteful. the machine gets filled with pulp. the pulp is wet and… Read more (+1 reply)
Kogan Vertical Cold Press Juicer – I just received my Kogan Vertical Cold Press Juicer today and it is perfect. I own a Breville Juice fountain (the latest one) and a Oscar horizontal juicer and it beats all of them hands down. The Oscar has lasted for 10 years. I wonder if this will be around for as long. I bought the 5 year warranty. It is a touch noisier than my oscar but way… Read more · 3
quieter than my breville. It juiced pear, carrots, beetroot and wheat grass just as easily as one another. (Tip juice the wheat grass first or the carrots first to get the best out of it) I am loving this machine. I will follow up in a months time if I am just as happy.
I have done a video review on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5ODwHPkvhA

and not I do not work for Kogan. ;-) I should write a review on their piece of [censored word removed] air conditioners for summer 2012-2013 (not everything they sell is perfect) Easy to clean, great speed, 72 rpm, (forget kogan, they say 120rpm on their website - this is wrong), not too noisy, great suction cups on the bottom The waste chute needs a hook to go with it to clean it out. The waste can be fidly otherwise. Maybe a knitting needle with a hook on the end will fix the problem.
