The worse experience. They where very hard to get a hold off, they sent me conflicting information via text and email, asked me questions that had no relevance to the application and misunderstood the application for transfer of balance and trying to upsell a credit card with interest rate. Would not recommend. Firstly, I question their standards or service. I had to contact them on multiple instances to check on the progress of my application. After a few rounds of supplying more informationand documentation again more waiting. The least professional "credit card" application and the most convoluted process I have dealt with. help desk and was informed yes a known technical problem since January and no you can't order any other way (no manual system in place). I was told I'd have a call back in 5 minutes (hah, still waiting). I escalated through complaints and yes still waiting. Don't waste your time and credit score rating applying, even Mickey Mouse would be able to do better than these clowns.

Beware...Fraudulent transaction a lot – yes! you will see fraudulent transaction in your account. I complaint for it. They said OTP was provided for transaction. Dishonest customer service centre – I had to forfeit 28000 points because of awful customer service. Kogan online never works only way of contact is through chatting with customer care They closed my account without even redeeming points

Totally incompetent in so many ways. While other banks resolve fraudulent credit card transaction disputes in a day or 2, Kogan takes no less than 6 weeks. In the meantime they send 2 copies of a cancelled card in the mail and keep sending email… Read more

messages indicating that they are still "investigating". Don't touch this company unless you enjoy being be treated poorly !

 Follow-up  · All of the stolen money was eventually reimbursed, and I received a confirmation email. A couple of weeks later, they sent another message indicating that the investigation was still in progress. I think they need to have a good hard look at their process with a view to cleaning it up.

The customer support is fully responsive through the mobile app. I didn't have to waste a single minute waiting for anyone.

Kogan is a very underrated name because there is a tendency of general public going by what others say, without trying the product themselves. I have an excellent experience with Kogan prepaid mobile also that has saved me a great deal of money on phone bills.

The underwriting bank is NAB so you know a big system is behind Kogan money and there is safety and security behind the service.

told they couldn't process my transfer because it was AMEX. Nowhere in the application process was this flagged - AMEX was an available selection in the drop-down list when entering card details and transfer amount. No communication from Kogan before approving my 10k application, and no communication after either - I had to call and follow up! Tried escalating the call and got a "next-level manager" who said nothing could be done and they were deeply sorry for the inconvenience, and as a "token of goodwill" would give me a $50 credit on the account(!!). no clear reason given as to why this was not possible.

I closed my account due to a home loan. I tried redeeming my $300 credit before closure, but both the credit and points disappeared. When I called, I was told nothing could be done. Very disappointing.

This review is just about the application. I have tried to apply 3-4 times and the application process is so hard and site often crashes. It just doesn’t work. I called Kogan few weeks ago and advised that their application process has so many bugs but looks like they haven’t done anything. card, a new card arrived, but now my application is not working again, and my account is locked, I have called them 4 times, call picked up in Philippine, they put me on hold for hours and disconnect. I am writing a formal complaint to AFCA with all the proof, and I don't recommend these fraudsters at all.

unbelievably abysmal, Indian call centre with a 3 second phone delay and terrible interference, so its impossible to have a conversation. The only benefit was the kogan store points, but you end up spending them on useless crap that you never needed to begin with.

Since system 'upgrade' absolutely nothing has worked. My card kept getting declined online with no explanation; as it was about to expire, a new one was supposed to be on the way. While waiting (and getting regularly declined, including at coles online) someone obtained my details and went on a spending spree. They were able to successfully order… Read more

over $400 from coles online, even though they should have needed an OTP sent to my phone number. The new system also removed text notifications for purchases over $100, so the fraud took longer to detect. Card was then cancelled and a new one posted. Mysteriously, the new card arrived on the same day as the original replacement card sent weeks earlier. New card then doesn't appear in my account so cannot be activated. No timeline for this to be fixed. Fraud investigation still ongoing. Additional cardholder still having online payments randomly declined. Absolutely useless, avoid at all costs.

Didn't receive my replacement cards, Raised that to customer service. They blocked cards which was already sent and sent me pair of new cards. Upon arrival wasn't able to activate new cards snd still can't. I have case number and follow it up every day. Still no outcome. Customer service says technical issue but no estimated date for resolution. Some of my direct debits already declined and have to pay rejection fee. Requested to close my account but they told me I will loos my credit card points by closure. Will close this account after resolution and redeeming my point. Stay away from them.

reviews I won't be activating the card at all, just cutting it up. The fact all aspects of this card seem extremely difficult and no response from Kogan to anyone makes it very suspicious!! Footnote - I did eventually receive a response from Kogan urging me to activate the card "and then I can reapply for a balance transfer". My return email stating I wouldn't be activating the card came back to me stating their email system "is refusing connections and from my email server"...Avoid dealings at all costs.

WORTHLESS CARD – Truly useless app and customer service - that makes any other benefits the actual card might have worthless. The app will confuse and puzzle you, product endless 'try again' messages if you lose the black magic connection between app and credit card, and the website is even worse. Get this card and join the list of complainers below - all thinking "I told you so." Don't be a clown in their circus!

time and time again even though I made regular and intime payments so watch for that. A SCAM!! And when I made my final payment to a zero balance suddenly I had a hidden amount i needed to pay that was not available on the app - why - yeah I asked the same thing. While on review of this I found that I did infact owe it, they could not tell me why they hid this information and why. So when I paid it off according to their app I was in CREDIT of money. When I went to close my account with them though they said I still owed them?! How is this even legal. I eventually got my account closed ( i think) but I don't trust them enough so waiting for the closure letter to confirm this. Sometimes going with these lesser known lines of credit just is not worth it. Also all their customer services in online and via a chatbot. Gross, I will never ever use this company again. Even turned off their products. Totally scamming company.

Exasperating and disappointing – Exasperating. The card is fine but the app on the phone is impossible to use after you check the balance etc...on anther device. On the phone you are then asked to re-pair your username and create a new password. All much easier said than done. Once you have managed to do this the app works until you check on your other device then it all starts… Read more

Truly poor integration with credit card and website – Have had a very poor experience with linking card to the Kogan website. Spent hours being shunted between the mobile credit card app and the website customer team. Cannot link the card to access rewards. they are absolutely no help. Bad experience – I was denied a Kogan Credit Card with zero explanation. In terms of credit risk I would be almost zero as any real appraisal of my finances would reveal I always pay my debts in a timely manner. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration. I encountered significant issues trying to contact Kogan's customer support. The phone support was particularly disappointing; after waiting 20 minutes to connect, I spoke to an overseas representative who struggled to assist me. Communication was challenging, and I felt lost in the process.

While waiting on hold, I began reading reviews about Kogan and realized I wasn’t alone in my struggles. Unfortunately, I had already committed to spending approximately $130 on the First Membership, which now felt like a regrettable investment. The negative feedback I encountered made me doubt the reliability of Kogan’s services.

Ultimately, after all the hassle and disappointing customer service experience, I decided against activating my credit card or making any further purchases from Kogan. It’s unfortunate that my experience turned out this way, as I had high hopes for the card and the rewards program. In hindsight, I wish I had done more research before diving in. For anyone considering the Kogan credit card, I recommend exercising caution and weighing the potential pitfalls before making a commitment.
