There are a lot of robot vacuums available at the moment. Some have replaced the disc mops with a single roller which they say works better. You can also pay over $2000 for some of them! The LX20 is sort of mid-range in price and functionality. It does the job well so what more can you ask? Initially it maps your house. It does this by moving from room to room taking a very rough outline. Once it starts to actually clean each room, the map becomes more 'realistic'. The only problem I had and still have, is that I could not setup the connection between the robot and my "Google Home". Therefore I could not use Google to voice command the robot. However the app works just as well although I do have issues when I try to select a specific room (to clean/mop). I have to keep making the selection a number of times before it finally registers. A bit of a nuisance but just takes a little patience. So far I have had no other issues and hopefully I can continue to enjoy the robot cleaning my house for me!

 Follow-up  · I initially had issues with the dust/dirt not being sucked out of the robot. There is a small plastic cover on the side of the robot that is supposed to be lifted upwards to allow the dirt to be sucked out of the robot and into the hepa dust bag (in the base station). [When the robot docks after cleaning, the docking station starts its own suction to literally suck out the dirt from the robot]. The little cover was not pliable enough and so the dirt stayed in the robot. Once this cover started working properly, things started working as they should. When the hepa bag fills, it is supposed to be thrown away and a new one inserted. (This takes only a few seconds as it is very easy. The hepa bag is hidden behind the white cover at the front of the base station under the two black water tanks. Just pull this cover open, slide out the filled hepa bag and replace it with a new one. Then put the cover back on and that is it!) The robot when vacuuming, is not that noisy. It does make a noise of course but not as loud as a manual vacuum. The robot has a number of suction settings; from normal to turbo. The higher the setting, the noisier it will be. It must be noted that when the robot returns to the docking station and it starts to be emptied, this is very noisy but only lasts about 15 seconds. There is also some noise when the disc pads are being cleaned. Therefore I would not put the docking station in a bedroom as it would certainly disturb a sleeper. I have floor tiles, linoleum and carpet in various rooms. The robot manages over all of them without issue. When it comes to a hard floor, the disc mops drop down and starts mopping. They go back up when going over carpet. NOTE: Through the app, you can make the robot do only vacuuming, or only mopping, or allow it do do both when appropriate. The latter is what I always select.

Its not worked like described since we opened the box. They are treible in the service response. Would not recommend this product at all. Its been 2 months and still crickets. Keeps having errors and this is a brand new product.

 Follow-up  · Well after many emails we got more reponse out of kogan with this review, I'd say cause they dodnt want the bad review. We finally got to send the faulty machine back to them and a new one arrived it has the same issues. They need to provide a service line to speak with someone the robot vacuum needs to be primed somehow for the mopping side of things. When asked on their site we started the roundabout all over again. Still stand by my original review.

Waste of Money – Nowhere Near Roomba Quality Buying the Kogan SmarterHome™ LX20 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop was a complete waste of money. There is no way this can be compared to even Roomba’s entry-level models (like the 600 series). The suction power is extremely weak — it struggles to pick up basic dust and debris. There’s no real power at all, making it ineffective as a vacuum.

The mopping function is useless. Not only does it fail to clean properly, it leaks water, which is unacceptable for a device meant to mop floors safely.

On top of the poor performance, after-sales support is terrible. I reached out for assistance and received no response. Being ignored after spending good money on a product just adds insult to injury.

Overall, this product feels cheaply made, poorly designed, and badly supported. I regret this purchase and would not recommend it to anyone. Spend a bit more and get a proven brand — it will save you money and frustration in the long run.
