I love the Effaclar serum. It’s so good I’m a repeat customer. But the La Roche Posay customer service is REALLY bad. The lid of my brand new product broke straight away. I reached out to them asking they’d send a new one (not a new product, a new lid so I may actually use my product!) - they denied my request because I hadn’t bought online but from a shop. Unacceptable. Show details

Poor experience – I was told that the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ M works very well for oily and acne prone skin, however, after applying on my face, my skin got seriously burnt and kept peeling. I found out that other customers have experienced the same problem as well. If this product is NOT suitable for sensitive skin, I would highly recommend stating this in the instruction. Show details

La Real-Poor Customer Service – The 2 stars are not for the products I received. If I were judging by products alone, I’d be giving 5 stars as so far, they seem really good and seem to be making a difference to my skin. However, the loss of 3 stars is for the terrible customer service I have received from the company. They sent the wrong item and refuse to send me the product I… Read more

ordered (even if I return the incorrect product!). I have been back and forth with them multiple times, wasting time as for some unfathomable reason, they won’t send me the item I ordered (even though it is clearly in stock on their website).

If considering buying their products, I strongly advise NOT doing so via their website lest they refuse to send you the actual product you ordered also.

Burnt my skin!!! – I'm 46 years of age, never had any issues with my face. No acne, pimples nothing. I've always had clear skin and have always been told that I look like I'm in my 30s. Recently I started to get acne around my lower cheeks and chin area. I was recommended the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo for spot treatment and also the Cicaplast Baume B5. The lady at… Read more

the pharmacy swore by it. I also read the reviews and it was all good.

Two days later my face was all burnt and itchy. My face looked so bad, I didn't wanna leave the house. I looked 20 years older. I saw my GP and she recommended I stop the product immediately, gave me antibiotics and also gave me an urgent referral to see a dermatologist.

Both products had given my face a nasty reaction. I contacted the company and after providing them with all the information, they don't believe their product caused the damage. I just emailed them initially letting them know what had happened but they are the ones who said to respond to them with reports, receipts and photos. They don't care. Over 6 weeks now and my face is still so bad. Totally burnt and scrunched up.

I'm not saying these products don't work. Some people have given really good reviews. But just keep in mind that everyone is different and have different skin types. Just be very careful because I don't want anyone to go through what I'm going through.

Great cleanser – Received a sample from chemist where house when I purchased another product of the same brand. Have been hooked on the cleanser since then. I have normal/oily skin & it leaves my face soft. It is good value too as you only need a pea size to remove all traces of make up Show details

Solid cleanser – Yes this is a decent cleanser. It comes in a big tube too so more economical and environmentally friendly.

Can't live without! – I started using this product after my first child and it has literally changed my skin. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth, clear and moisturised without stripping it. I have tried so many products in my life time and this is by far my favourite. Show details

Changed my skin forever – I have suffered from acne my whole life, I stopped using birth control pill almost 12 months ago which helped with my hormonal acne but it flared up in April/May after stopping the pill - I used the pill for about 15 years but decided to give it a break and heal myself naturally. I read reviews about this product and gave it a try, I have been… Read more

using it consistently with the effaclar anti imperfection moisturiser also and have noticed a significant difference. The photos speak for themselves. I am extremely happy with the results and will refer to anyone who has hormonal acne!

This product is AMAZING! – After years of trying different skin care options and routines I had almost given up. After being recommended by a few people to try La Roche-Posay I will never look back. I love the consistency and foaming agents of a gel and this cleanser was perfect. It left my skin feeling clean but not right or dry. I followed up with the hydra B5 serum and… Read more

a vitamin C for the day and the retinol for the night and the moisturised. My skin has never felt better. It instantly reduces redness and kept my skin beautifully hydrated all day and night. Will never use anything else... I am OBSESSED

Reliable and effective – After using these products - foam cleanser, retinol serum, all over body balm and a face moisturiser, I will never choose anything else. These products are consistently good and reliable. They are good for sensitive skin and just do what they say they’re going to do. I’m so glad I found them and I am looking forward to trying other products in the range.  Show details

I don't recommend this product – After a patch test near my jawline, a stingy red rash appeared around my mouth and nostrils within 5 hours. The following morning, the rash reduced and I noticed minor scabs around my nostrils. Unfortunately La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat moisturiser isn't suited for my oily and sensitive skin. Show details

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel 200ml 200ml – I am reviewing the above item. I have been using it for 2 years now, the foaming gel has been great for me, it has cleared my acne, helps with my sensitive skin and really leaves my skin feeling clean. Its the best foaming gel I have used ever. I have tried other items in the range and all great. Show details

Seven days is all it took! A loyal customer for life now – So I'll just start by saying i never write reviews. I've tried every skin care product out there and recently began to use a one-step hemp and essential etc oil called Supple Skin Glow Oil that promised glowing clear skin. It did not work at all.My skin became rough and i experienced the most severe painful acne breakout accompanied with red spots… Read more

all over my entire face and jaw (where I also put the oil). Blackheads and closed comedones suddenly covered my face in the 100s and my texture was ruined. I cried when I saw my skin in the mirror each day. My confidence was shot. was desperate and decided on a whim to pick up the effeclar duo pack with the cleanser and effeclar duo. I'd read good reviews but had almost given up on hope after my terrible experience with a new product. I just realised today is only seven days after starting. My skin breakouts reduced by probably 85-90%. There are no pimples any more, everything healed very fast and my texture is flattening out and skin is starting to glow again. I finally feel like myself again. Even the red scars from one week ago are rapidly disappearing. This product is a miracle. It doesn't dry my skin out, I only use a oil cleanser, the foaming wash followed by the duo cream. Thank you so much La Roche Posay I will repurchase forever.

Cleared acne-rosacea after years of corticosteroid use – I used a topical corticosteroid steroid cream (Advantan fatty ointment) for about 4 years on my forehead to get rid of some sort of itchy red dermatitis thing that first appeared at the time. It worked well at first but then I found myself applying it daily for YEARS. My skin got much worse and I would commonly get a rosacea type reaction with… Read more

pimples and bumps. It transformed into this and was always there. I finally did some research and realised that it was all more likely a reaction to the steroid cream and not some permanent skin problem I had. So I stopped the Advantan and started using Effaclar Duo every night before bed after washing my face with Envirocare Body Wash for sensitive skin. Most face products trigger headaches for me which is why I use Envirocare. So 2 weeks in and while my forehead is not perfectly clear yet, it is about 10% of what it was on the steroid. No more ugly bumps and no more pimples or intense red. Just some light patchy redness here and there that is very easy to cover. If I clean up my diet a little bit more I think it will be completely clear (chocolate and whole grains trigger it). So this stuff definitely works well but it does give me headaches about 30 minutes after applying it (thus the 4 stars and not 5). The headaches are not a deal breaker but it is there nonetheless. But I get headaches from just about any product so don't let that put you off. If you live in Australia, you can buy a $12.00 La Roche Posay starter kit for acne at Chemist Warehouse. Well worth a shot (I'm a guy by the way).

Terrible ! Creates tiny transparent pimples – I started using it to clear my summer acne because my skin is more oily and i have more breakouts. It made it worse, creating more pimples that are tiny and transparent on top of my bad ones. My friend has the same results with this product so it s not just me. Show details

La Roche Posay 50+ BB cream – I have fair and sensitive skin and have found La Roche Posay sunscreen-BB cream just fabulous for my skin. It leaves my skin clear and smooth with no obvious residue or caked look. It does not exaggerate any lines on my face either. It acts as a moisturiser, sunscreen and light foundation all in one. I also found their mascara is terrific too, it does not irritate my eyes. I will be buying more of their products.

La Roche Posay Effaclar – I had this product as trial only (you know that tiny tubes), It feels light and did not have any pimple breakout unlike other tinted moisturisers that I've tried. La roche posay is used in my workplace too and I see dramatic improvements with our clients. It's pricey but it's worth it.

La Roche Sexy Pulp Mascara – I was after a mascara that makes lashes look thicker naturally, and wanted dark brown for the same reason. This comes in both colours, but I’v only tried the dark brown. Love This Product!! – I have been using this cleanser for a year and have repurchased it so many times. I have a very sensitive acne prone skin and this effaclar cleanser is the best for my skin. Not only it removes make up but also decreases tiny bumps around my forehead that I used to get every now and then. It’s a bit pricey than normal cleansers but definitely worth it!!

Cleanser and DUO+ gel – I didn't think that I would like this foaming gel after I read the ingredients list as there was absolutely nothing 'good' . But it calms all acne after long hours in the hot oily kitchen yet it is not drying at all. Skin feel like reborn and the crap pop right back down. Only halfway though. I have tried many facial cleansers and I am so… Read more

impressed with this one that I wont try any other anymore. Also effaclar duo + does work to reduce the pimple process to a minimum but i still had to start antibiotics and treament. But for cosmetical purpose I would consider duo+ gel over tea tree....

Decent cleanser – I have very sensitive skin. The Effaclar cleanser is great for sensitivity. You will only need a coin size amount and this cleanser will take all your makeup off. It is also frangrance free and non drying. French drug store products are famous for being some of the best in beauty, and this cleanser shows that. Would repurchase :)

Wow wow wow!!! – After years of trying all the skin care on the market, I was recommended by a Priceline skin care specialist to try this range. I went to Priceline to ask about my troubled skin, this year my skin has been playing up with pimples and I could not get rid of them, and my face looked like dot to dot it was horrible, and my pimples were pink/red. … Read more

I bought this skin care La Roche Posay Effaclar, it was in a starter pack, the gentle foam wash and the moisturiser for pimples. I was scared to try it as I hate using new products I have never heard of on my face.

I have been using it for 1 month now and its been fantastic, its really helped my pimples my face is nearly clear, and my dots have gone away, no longer can I see my pink dots. This is really refreshing for me as I am in my early 40's, I have had pimples on and off for a while.

I remember the first time I washed my face with this wash and I stood outside and I could feel the breeze on my face it was so clean.

I suffer from Rosacea on my cheeks and this items has helped that as well.

I have since bought the toner as well and I will buy their Moisturiser cream too.

I also bought the eye cream which I am loving as well.

I recommend these products. Love it !

Great product – I started using La Roche Posay products about three weeks ago and fell in love with the brand. The Effaclar foaming cleanser clears up imperfections quickly and effectively removes makeup. Personally, it has made my skin a little bit dry in areas with daily use, however it's nothing a good moisturiser can't fix. Overall, a great product! Removes makeup, pH balanced, soap free, gentle can dry skin out
