I do not recommend at all. Order tracking/status updates are minimal. You’re required to sign for a first-time delivery due to age verification which makes sense. I humoured the delivery window and stood on standby. I the received a text an hour into said window, stating that delivery had been attempted half an hour prior, and my options were to reschedule for another 4 hour block sometime next week. I’ve heard more noise in a silent reading.
Support was understanding over the phone, but their only assistance outside of a reschedule was to attempt calling the delivery driver in an effort to get them to circle back, which I was told was a 50/50 chance of getting through.
Won’t be using again, primarily due to the audacity of expecting customers to not leave their house for 4 hours, then have delivery attempted by a spectre that must’ve disappeared as quick as it appeared.
They need to change their courier vendor, or promote the Dan Murphy’s pick up option as the recommended way to go. The home delivery service is horrible and none of the inconveniences are disclosed.
These clowns just do not care. I literally, and I do mean LITERALLY have issues with EVERY SINGLE ORDER I PLACE. LATE DELIVERY. DAMAGED PRODUCT. WINE LEFT IN BELTING SUN. CANCELED ITEMS IN MY ORDERS... They continue to astound me with their ineptitude, lack of professionalism and contempt for customers.
The wine I won would have been a good buy but when you're charged $19 to deliver one bottle it turned out to be over priced. I've read all the other poor reviews and seems im lucky my wine even turned up at all.
Go elsewhere. I would not use Langton's ever again there ordering, delivery & logistics process is broken. This will cause you issues.Lost orders, can't find, no followup, lack of care for customer, all sits on your shoulders to followup get and get outcomes. The refund process is like trying to pull blood out of a rock. Go elsewhere.
There are a lot better – I have had many problems with deliveries from Langton's, with bottles being open, stains all over bottles along with presentation boxes being damaged, customer service was a joke when I wanted to know who packed the two boxes that had the above goods in them, got flogged off to others who failed to address their internal despatch problems. commission is a joke at 18% and also their valuations are laughable, especially with descriptions when they have the starting prices of a perfect bottle to one that has signs of seepage badly torn and stained labels... You can also buy items a lot cheaper without paying 18% comission and $18.50 delivery from Dan Murphy's their parent company in the Endeavour Group...
Great customer service – Recently won two bottles of 151 Bacardi Rum at auction full stop on delivery one of the bottles was missing the label I submitted a request there was an apology and a replacement sent very promptly excellent customer service
An amazing experience – I would give zero stars if I could It's a perfect example ok how to ruin an amazing business let dan Murphy buy and keep watching the disaster. Been waiting over 2 months to get a wine valuation every phone call is the same I'll pass into the team, they will call you ...I have been waiting and waiting and waiting
Pathetic delivery – I purchased 1 bottle of wine on the 29/1/24... which was to be delivered on 2/2/24, told it would be delivered on 5/2/24 before noon...still no wine...called Langtons..told it would be delivered on 6/2/24... this is not service, and not good enough. Would not buy from them ever again.
Worst service I ve seen. Would not recommend – Joined Langtons through the purchase of 2 Vintec wine fridges .Came with 2 $100.00 vouchers. Was called on every day until I placed and paid for 28 bottles.3 months on still waiting for it all to arrive. Not happy.
Hassle free service – Bid for, and won a bottle of Penfolds Grange wine at Langton’s auction last Sunday evening. Received my purchase, safely delivered to Brisbane on Friday five days after auction. Well done Langton’s! Highly recommend.
Hopelessly slow – I'm trying to sell a bottle of 1968 Grange through Langtons. After dropping it off at a Langtons delivery point a month ago it has yet to travel 15km to their warehouse where it can be receipted. God knows how long it will take to actually go up for auction. Try a smaller auction house if you're selling wine.
Spam callers – Used my details as a Dan Murphy member and aggressively called trying to sell premium wine. Hung up when he realised I wasn’t interested. Plain rude. Do not recommend tactics of this company.
Good product, appalling delivery and customer service – I am a regular customer who has purchased a lot of wine from Langtons. Over the past months I am continuing to experience 6 weeks plus delays for delivery with little care for customer service, you would expect better based on their advertising of how professional they profess to be. Now looking for better options to Langtons for buying online wine

for them to be delivered on Monday 28th of June 2021. I was assured they would arrive by Tuesday or Wednesday at the very latest by a staff member. I tracked my order online and noticed after 48 hours it had not even been picked. Mind you this is only a 29 Lot order. I rang again to ask what was going on and they gave me the excuse that "the system" could not identify my address (even thought it has been the same for 12 years). All my other orders were easily identified. They never rang me to ask my address if this were true. Now after more than 72 hours of placing my order to be delivered online it has not even been picked yet! 72 hours to pick a 29 Lot order? I rang back again today (Thursday) to ask to speak to the Manager and was asked more questions and then put on to the customer service manager who I was not interested in talking to. They seem loathe to let you speak to the manager. No wonder, given their level of glaring incompetence. They charge you $10 per dozen delivery fee which is very high by comparison to other liquor retailers such as Dans and others. The wine has to travel less than 60 kms and it seems to take forever. They do not allow you to pick it up which I would much prefer. I would like to give a zero star rating but this is not allowed. Why? They do not deserve a 1 star rating.
Quick delivery – I did an online purchase on Saturday 15 May and received a text this morning that it is available for pick-up at my local Dan Murphy's today, Wednesday 19 May. Delivered within 3 working days take some doing!
Wine just doesn’t arrive. Now I get no response! – I bid, won and paid for a 1991 Penfolds Grange early January 2021. Still to receive it, and after constant follows up and correspondence it has not yet arrived. There was communication early Feb about delivery but this has now stopped and I receive nothing after several emails. Just poor and I missed the birthday I was going to gift. Ended up buying direct from Penfolds and received that in 3 days, so we can’t keep blaming COVID.
Poor delivery – Ordered wine in the 11th oct and the 13th I received notification it has been despatched for delivery. 30th oct still no delivery no update on delivery and no response to email sent on the 24th lodging query on order. Just waiting for notification of Langtons going into administration amd I lost my money
A very good fine wine service – The wine broker service is tip top. They do get access to some great wine at decemt prices. The whole service isn't as good as it once was but that could just be the current retail climate more than anything as I've noticed the same trends across nearly the entire retail industry. Side note: They have one of the best hot weather delayed delivery systems in the business.
Langtons customer service – I have been buying wine from langtons for 8 years , Now that they are Woolworths owned the customer service has turned to garbage, wine seems to be being sourced from some cellars with poor providence, recently I have had 12 btls out of 15 that gave hallmarks of bad cellaring being flat and lifeless none of which were representative of there… Read more
heritage , and all I have good experience with knowing the wines well . Langtons have refused any sort of recompense or even good will gesture , As a collector who has spent far to much money with Langtons , I can say they won't be getting any more
Friendly, helpful, personal service! – The biggest thanks to Cliff at Langton's who went out of his way to ensure that the very special bottle I bought for my best friend trapped in lockdown in Melbourne was delivered to her in time for her 50th. You are an absolute star Cliff - this really cheered her up after her party in Queensland had to be cancelled.
Clueless and Incompetent – If you are happy to project manage your delivery for a month with no replies to emails then this is the wine merchant for you. Felt like me trying to find my wine was the scene from Laurel and Hardy’s “Who’s on First”
Incompetent wine merchant – I purchased premium wine ($130 per bottle ) from Langton’s. I requested shipment be held due to excessive hot weather. they told me was still in storage ?? They don’t know what they are doing and certainly dont understand how to handle expensive wines. I don’t know if the wine is spoilt due to heat and won’t be dealing with these clowns again!!

Clueless, no wine knowledge, inept pricing – Very inexperienced team involved with setting pricing including reserve pricing. fetch over $200 a bottle on other auction sites and popular price checking sites like Wine Searcher. They listed them at pathetic prices under $50. A grand cru St Emilion from a top year 1996 they listed at $160 based on a previous sale of a bottle in poor condition. This wine fetches over $400 at retail.
Its not that I am seeking high prices. They listed a1982 Lafite in fairly ordinary condition at a premium price guaranteed it would not sell - based on a prior price for a bottle in excellent condition. Serious wine drinkers know this Lafite wasn't one of the great Grand Cru 1982s. So why price it ridiculously high?
The whole pricing system is clearly very unprofessional. It worries me when I get replies from Indian staff. I hate to say it but in my experience they are generally clueless on complex and unusual wines and no doubt just fall back on basic practices. I have dealt with langton for probably 20 years and current experiences can only be described as inept.
Sales pitch doesnt match service – Good on making the sale, poor on actually delivering the product. Langtons are great at contacting you with offers and wines that you might like, but every single order we made with them had issues with the delivery (and we're in the Sydney metro area). Whenever we contacted Langtons for assistance their response was to palm it off on to the courier company. Poor service, recommend going elsewhere for your unique wine orders.
