Service -triple star! – Bought ironing system and ironing board. Iron was great - ironing board unbalanced! Laura Star have replaced ironing board and given me ideas how to level out the other one. What company gives hints to fix a problem but provides a new product as well! Couldn't speak highly enough of service team. Show details

good iron – Works well. Easy to use. Would appreciate a water level meter so I can judge how much water is remaining. Steam strength sometimes does. It seem sufficient when ironing as their are always lines creases left. Easy to pack away. Easy to clean- although calc build up happens often. Over is good.  Show details ·  1

Love it - although it does have a few ‘services’ – I absolutely Love my Laura Star! It is such a time saver and I power through all my ironing in record time! Al Hough I am hoping I get to upgrade soon, as It breaks down some, which can be frustrating. It’s also heavier than the newer models. But when it works it’s AMAZING  Show details ·  1

Great iron system – The iron works well with different fabrics. Easy to iron all fabric types. Cuts my ironing time dramatically. Makes ironing easier. Heat top time and ironing time could be better. I have had to have the iron repaired twice since owning it. Living in rural Queensland this meant sending it away for repair. This was quite efficient. Definitely will upgrade to a higher level iron when able to get the benefits of shorter heat and ironing time.  Show details ·  1

Best tool I own – This iron does everything I need and so efficiently. I can go from my delicate fabrics to my husband’s work clothes without missing a beat. It definitely cuts my ironing time in half. I’m so thankful for such a valuable and dependable product. This is my second Laura Star. I can only recommend them to everyone.  Show details ·  1

Unhappy customer – My Laura star go+ has cracking on the body of the iron. I rang 1800 number & was told I could take it to the service centre in Adelaide. Both the service centre & person at the 1800 number said I have to pay $55 to have it checked & then pay for labour costs to fix it. They will only cover the cost of parts. I am very unhappy with this as it is a fault with the model. No Joy  Show details

STAR go + Model – Hi since having contacted laurastar staff were great I believe the laurastar GO plus had a fault with the card that's inside the boiler (iron would cut out after only being on 5 mins ) i posted the boiler back to them (have had iron for only 4 years ) and the service guys repaired a lot ...there was cracking which shouldn't have been there however… Read more

I'm very grateful to them for replacing and fixing other things I still love using the laurastar as so much easier to use...there's no doubt when working, the iron does a fantastic job .and the fact you don't have to keep topping up ! as often is great. Its much quicker than an ordinary iron ...do i recommend .I don't feel I can honestly rate tillI've had my repaired iron longer!!

Dont subject yourself to the problems – I previously owned a more expensive Laura Star iron for 5 years, which I was very happy with until it started to develop problems. Thinking I would just get this basic model with no issues I ordered it with part payments. It had some quirks, like not always accepting water & turning itself off while I was using it. I worked with it thinking I… Read more

didn't have a consistent knack, but at the 2 month point it wouldn't turn on. Tech support was useless & suggested I turn off other appliances as it wouldn't work if I had a fan plugged into the other point of the dual wall outlet. The technician was on holidays & I would have to wait until he returned (2 weeks). It was only after my husband rang the Melbourne head-office that Brisbane became more amenable. Eventually I received my iron back but it doesn't always turn on, won't always accept water & is inconsistent as to whether it beeps to tell me it's out of water. And it is back to randomly switching itself off. This model does not live up to Laura Star rep & tech support is frustrating to say the least. Wish I had never bought this problem & could return it but it's past my 30 days.

It is frustrating to see that another customer was offered a replacement unit, but mine was just given a service. Especially as it has new problems and the old ones seem to be returning.

Game changer – Was never liking ironing until this. Loved the ease of which items get ironed. The dual mode fan is also great for keeping light clothes to stick to the board. Only 2 issues - 1. the plastic casing for the iron is not very durable mine has cracked and some sections warped. Iron still works though. 2. the length of time for the boiler to reach boiling point before I can start ironing.  Show details ·  2

I am sick of my iron and i hate it!! – My mother bought her Laura star 11 years ago and has never had a problem with it, never, and it still works as well today as it ever did but mine. I bought it just over a year ago and have only been using it for 9 months (since I got married). I live with my husband and probably do an hours worth of ironing a week at the most. Within 2 weeks… Read more

of using it it the casing around the buttons split apart. And today when I was trying to iron his suit for an event for tomorrow, what happens? The iron itself splits at the sides and steam wont stop pouring out.

My sister in law had a similar experience. Steam pouring from every nook and cranny uncontrollably.

I am dreading getting this fixed under warranty. She had an awful time. The practically won't admit that their product could go wrong and drag you over the coals about it.

What a shame that you have changed to having your irons manufactured in china and destroyed your brand.

Don't buy this iron. They have tried to cut costs by going to Asia for manufacturing and haven't done their homework . Every bit of your money will be wasted on their useless irons now. Be smart and buy an iron from a company like Miele that cares about quality. Or do your best to buy one that is second hand and about 10 years old. They look clunkier but, boy, they were good back then.
