Laurastar Evolution i-G5

G5 Glad we got it – Chased all around Melbourne to track down a G5. It finally arrived and we are very happy. The difference between this and normal iron is quite palpable. My husband and I wear collared shirts nearly every day, so a good ironing system should be worth the extra money. Now just have to learn how to use it properly and maintain it.  Show 3 replies

i-G5 creasing issue – I purchased this model mainly for the continuous steam from the water tank. Have found the new steam vent causes small creases if you don't iron straight up & down, going cross ways cause annoying creases. Tank also drips constantly, seem to be forever wiping up puddle of water under the board. Water tank small leak, have put plumber silcone tape around the lip but not stopped the leak.

Makes light work of my ironing pile! – I'm so happy with my new iron. I run a small shirt ironing business and it really does cut my ironing time in half, especially because I don't need to keep topping up the water. I also like that Tap water is safe to use. It is expensive but at this rate I imagine it'll pay for itself in no time. superfast to heat up expensive Show reply
