Disappointed – This is my first LauraStar, and it will be my last. It's near impossible to iron out creases - even with the steam, there's shadowing of them. A basic iron with a water spray does a better job. I believe this is an overpriced iron and I very much regret purchasing it. Show details
Terrible Customer Service – We have had 3 Laura Star irons in the past all are brilliant until they break which they do! The customer service is terrible, they won't call you back, they won't let you speak to a supervisor all they way to do is correspond by email. But they ignore the emails!! Our last iron went back for repair on 10 January but it is lost in transit… Read more
somewhere? Therefore I have been without an iron for almost 3 weeks with no end in sight. When they start to go they leave brown stains on your clothing, they leak water out all over your clothes.
I would not recommend you buy one of these irons, they are too much trouble. I will not be buying another one!

Initially good but too expensive to service now – This was good until it started to go wrong. Paid $115+ for service at Chatswood in January 2013 for full service including pressure blasting. In October it wouldn't supply steam so this time took it to Bankstown as Chatswood now closed. Guess what? Now out of service warranty and it needs another$100+ service and this time replacement thermostat.… Read more
Water seems to be main problem as now we must buy very expensive filter granules from Europe .Altogether now getting unreliable and too expensive to service . Would not buy another at $2000+. Might be OK for wealthy Swiss but too much for us. Originally very good Expensive unreliable service

put away again very upset and just been told by service department "well it is an old iron" snd might not have parts.i would have thought usage defined age so 8 uses and the company thinks its reasonable and for another 900 I could get a new boiler. great way to treat customers! ! When working great iron and fast Bad customer service and they make it much hassle to get it fixed

Been in service department 5 times, still cannot fix it – My Laurastar Magic S5 was faulty out of the box. it would leak out of the iron. Service department kept replacing parts on it, but still no luck. They won't give me a refund, so have to contact Fair Trading. I regret falling for their sales pitch.... perhaps I can get a charge back from my bank. Faulty out of the box

Service was excellent – Bought the unit from the Laurastar Store in Woolloongabba in Brisbane. The unit developed a problem with water leaking from the bottom within a few weeks of purchase. Rang the store and they were more than happy to take a look at it as a warranty issue and instructed me how to detach the steaming unit from the ironing board so I didn't have to… Read more · 1
bring the whole lot in. Once I arrived, the staff started looking into the problem immediately and were able to rectify it while I waited. The technician came out and explained what the problem was and what he'd done to fix it (the plastic section holding the water seals had a minor defect allowing water to seep through the unit and needed replacing). Couldn't believe I was going home with a fixed unit instead of waiting weeks for a resolution.
Two big thumbs up for service from the Brisbane Laurastar store and the friendly and knowledgeable staff working there.
