I picked up the car and the safety system was trying to pull me off the road dangerously. When I informed the seller that the guidance system was no longer working i was told I was lying. I took the car and paid for diagnostics with bmw. They informed me of the major safety fault due to the incorrect handling of the bumper which had bent the brackets holding the guidance system. It was not repairable. It needed replacing and recalibration by BMW (quote directly by both BMW service centre and by BMW Australia head office). The seller - [Name Removed]- was told this and he lost it at me, completely hysterical telling me that I was lying and that BMW were lying. Wanted me to take the car to HIS HOUSE to have it looked at... needless to say I absolutely refused to put myself in that position. He viciously and in a completely unhinged manner attacked me verbally over the phone, no chance I was going to his house! I told him I just wanted to have it repaired at BMW. He flat out refused - this was 5 days after I'd purchased the car - well within the fair trading act requirements for faults in products. I told him then that I would take the car back to the yard and he could refund me (also something I was legally entitled to under the Act) he hysterically and abusively said no. Fair trading for involved and found him at fault - he admitted fault but only agreed to pay for less than half the cost of the repair. I have had to engage a lawyer and pay the costs for this just to get him to pay for the repair and recalibration.

A very summarised version of some very stressful events but far out what a crook!! This is my warning to other people out there - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER crooked as they come.
