Disappointing purchase – Disappointing. When we first purchased the vacuum it needed to map the floor space. Easily done. A few days later it overwrote the floor map with another one (visible via the app) that was similar but rotated a number of degrees. This subsequently confused the vacuum, and took some time for me to work out how to delete the maps and start all over (LG Help isn’t very helpful). Initially the battery within the vacuum lasted the duration of cleaning the whole floor. Within 2 months the battery wouldn’t last that long and the vacuum would return to the base station to recharge mid-clean. So I split the floor plan into 2 zones and cycled the cleaning so each section would be cleaned on alternating days. Lately the battery has started running low so that the vacuum has returned to the base station for recharging on a number of occasions again. Quite frequently the vacuum gets disorientated when attempting to return to the base station at the end of a cleaning cycle and sometimes wanders around the whole floor area (sometimes up to 10 minutes) after verbalising that the cleaning has finished and it’s returning to the base station, sometimes spending 3-5 minutes going back and forth directly in front of the base station landing mat. We haven’t used the mop function so can’t comment on its effectiveness. We wouldn’t recommend this item.

Don’t buy – Had the robot vac/mop for 6 months. Does a good job cleaning, easy to map BUT gets stuck all the time, comes with 1 mop pad and 2 vac bags . You cannot get parts for this robot easily it’s pathetic. Have complained to LG they don’t care now the canister is cracking and I have no idea why. The one mop pad I’ve found would cost 40.00 including postage. A complete waste of money
Good concept, bad execution – EDIT - 04/01/2025 You can buy the vacuum bags from The Good Guys. Please see attached photo, circled areas don’t exist in our house, so I don’t know how its saved these areas. It deleted the saved map without losing battery and there’s only one way to fix this, remap the whole house. *** Research and find out if you can get vacuum bags for it, you can’t. It comes with two bags, and once they’re full, the vacuum is useless.
I give it five stars for cleaning and mopping, but zero stars in functionality.
1. Once you’ve done the first clean of the whole house to save a map, it does a wonderful job, getting every bit and piece of the house as long as there’s no loose wires or LEGO lying around. You can then map the house, merge rooms, divide rooms, put no go zones etc, easy so far right? It then gives you the option to save the map.
The problem arises when the vacuum doesn’t get back to the dock and runs out of battery, you lose all the settings, remember the backup map option? Well there’s no way to restore the backed up map.
It is such an easy fix with a firmware and app update, the vac should conserve 5-10% of the battery to keep the map and the app should have an option to restore previously saved maps.
We’ve had the vac for one month, gone through one dust bag, washed the filter three times (this is a good thing, it means it’s doing its job as intended), but we have also remapped the whole house four times, the contacts on the base have massive carbon build up from arcing as instead of using stainless steel, they’ve used chrome plated steel, which is inferior and requires a weekly clean with a contact spray.
I would wait until they have vacuum bags and filters in stock before considering buying this vacuum.
Purchased in at LG Australia for $597.
