Terrible quality but excellent customer service – We moved from overseas and I couldn't get the quality Boss fridge we were after. We did a lot of research an decided on this LG fridge. Overall, it works fine and I love that ice doesn't build up in the freezer like my old fridge had. Then the hinges in the freezer broke. I contacted LG and they have resolved the issue absolutely fabulous.… Read more
Excellent customer service. Compliments! I get to pick a new fridge from the vendor I bought it at and the issue was resolved very well.
Good stock standard roomy fridge – I like this fridge, it's served us well for 4 years. Good size for two people. The freezer at the bottom is better than one at the top. It's a bit more noisy at times than it used to be, but it seems to be standing the test of time. Show details
Worked OK for three years then broke down and can't be repaired – This fridge was Okay, the shelves do not stand up to hard use and cracked early. 3.5 years from purchase now not holding cold temps, fluctuates a lot. Have called LG, waiting for an answer. The company who have been delegated to assess it could not come out for a week. Then it took a week a week to get a new part, then a week to fit it, but it… Read more
made no difference, the freezer does not work at all, running at +2-5 deg, the fridge is + 10-12 and it is virtually empty. I think it has a major fault. In the last two weeks I have had 3-4 calls from LG who say they are waiting for the engineers report. If we don't get an answer soon it will be off to ACCC. What is it with fridges these days? 5 weeks later have bought a new one.
So far so good – Its been working fine for nearly two years now. Can be a bit noisy at night sometimes but that's totally fine. The freezer and the fridge sizes are adequate for a small to average family. Bottom fridge rack could be stronger, but overall it is a good buy and works as expected Show details
Awesome fridge! – This is a great fridge. It leave no marks on the outside from finger prints and is a great size. The ice making drawer is great too. The LED light is super bright too We bought this fridge brand new for a great price as it was discontinued, but has a long warranty on it. Show details
Perfect size for small household – What a fantastic fridge, freezer and makes so much sense. The fridge at the top makes so helpful for anyone for whom bending is difficult, especially as most people use the fridge more often than the freezer. Cleaning is a breeze as it only needs a quick wipe and the temperature is even and effective throughout. Show details
Great fridge for off grid solar system – Being Off the grid running the house totally on solar power we were looking for a suitable fridge with minimum power draw . We found this demo fridge still in the box for $1000 at Betta electrical.. 3 years later it's still working great and so easy to clean . If your not hooked up to the grid this is a great fridge to run off solar power .. Show details
Great Fridge - Definately recommend – This fridge has been working great, it holds the temperature in both the freezer and fridge to the temperature set. It is so quiet you wonder sometimes if it is actually turned on. It is so easy to clean, spillages are easy to get up and because it is frost free there is no defrosting to do. I would have no hesitation in purchasing or… Read more

Not thrilled at all :( – I have only just received this fridge. Ordered from appliances online. Order, delivery and installation were fine. The first thing I noticed was that the top of the fridge is not flat and is quite an eyesore. There is a silver round mechanical piece and then the display panel is a separate part tacked on to the top at the front. If this was… Read more
clearly shown in the pictures I would never have purchased this fridge!! It not only looks ugly but it makes cleaning the top very difficult.
I have now had the fridge running for about 3 hours and it has started making a noticeable noise. It sounds like a light aircraft is flying low. When I put pressure on the sides of the fridge the noise decreases. I have levelled the fridge and it has made no difference. Considering I purchased this fridge in part because my last fridge was noisy I am extremely disappointed. It is louder than my last F&P fridge.
Another major design floor in my model is this. I have a sliding shelf just above the vege crisper which is a great idea for smaller items so that you can get to them easier. What is not so great is that my split shelf is just above this sliding shelf and the split shelf position CANNOT be changed. The split shelf is designed for large bottles but if I use this the bottles will be standing on a sliding shelf. So basically if I am using the split shelf for bottles I cannot use the sliding shelf. How ridiculously stupid LG!!
The rest of the design I quite like. I have the stainless model with the water dispenser and proper door handles, which I prefer. So far so good on temperature.
Unfortunately though the faults have totally outweighed everything else for me.
Fairly Good so far – Not sure why this is listed as Discontinued, I purchased mine 6 weeks ago and it's still listed on LG's website as current. Although the display models in store were made in Indonesia and mine was made in China. I am happy with it's performance and have a thermometer in there to keep an eye on it. Being Inverter based seems to make it operate a… Read more
little different from your regular fridge, its not what I call loud but it does seem to run longer than other fridges and sounds more like a fan than a traditional compressor. Maybe there are fans inside.
I'm not tall so I find lifting a 3 liter milk bottle to the Big Bottle door shelf slightly annoying compared to the lower shelf on my previous fridge.
I could not figure out how to remove the pre-installed shelves to relocate to the other positions available.
The vegie draw is huge so I use half for veg and half for multiple small drinks.
The ice cube maker is simple but very effective. The biggest space in the freezer is smaller than I expected but is big enough for my needs. Many frozen meals.
In all I'm happy with this fridge, plenty of space and I'm expecting a lower power bill after replacing my reliable but 28 year old model.
UPDATE March 2017 The LG Fridge is still going well.
Good fridge – I didnt realise this fridge is now discontinued! Anyway, I've had it for nearly a year and its been great. I find the best thing is the electricity usage you save compared to my old one. I like the big crisper section, fits a bit of vegies in there, The ice cube section is smaller than others I had looked at and can fit a bit in the freezer as well.
Great Fridge - Quiet and Efficient – Only had this fridge for about two weeks. Upgraded from an old Westinghouse. Love the Bottom Mount, when you open the door for the fridge, everything is right there, easy to see and reach. The fridge section has heaps of room for us (just a couple) and we have moved one shelf to be close to another which allows us to store a heap of drinks on… Read more
their side and leaves a large area at the bottom to fill with high items. Have heard of the fridge being noisy but ours is super quiet. The manual says to make sure the fridge feet are leveled to avoid vibration and perhaps people have not levelled their fridge properly and are on a wooden floor which would carry vibration ?
Love the 4 star efficiency. Got it for $1170 from Hervey Norman and paid for an additional 4 year product replacement warrenty so Fridge should be covered for 6 years. The Hervey Norman warrenty says replacement with a new equivelent fridge if it fails in the four years of their cover.
Delivery guys were great, cost $40 to deliver, they said fridge had been kept upright and was fine to start up straight away. Was pretty much silent from startup, no strange noises. The LG product manual was very funny in their description of various noises you may hear and what they mean but we have heard none so far. (e.g "When you hear a Tak or Took sound - " Expansion or contraction, "When you hear a Shoo or Shick sound - " when closing the fridge door, and several more) Its a good thing though that they have tried to cover all bases to reassure people that various sounds they may hear are normal. But as said, the fridge is pretty much silent in our opinion.
Fridge took a couple of hours to get down to operating temp I would estimate.
Freezer was a bit smaller than we had anticipated. Our old fridge / freezer was 300 ltr, this is 450 ltr. By the time we had stacked all of our frozen goods into the new freezer, there wasnt a lot of room left but could have been say 20% extra room plus the ice section takes up a bit of room that can be used if you remove the ice accessory drawers.
Two LED light strips in the fridge give a good soft light and provide great visiblity inside the fridge. No light in the freezer but freezer is drawers so a light would not help much !
Fresh produce drawer is quite large but no humidity adjuster and just a single drawer. We have had no problems though with our fresh produce and we go through a lot of it.
All in all, so far a great fridge at a good price. Can't comment on Hervey Norman warrenty or LG service at this stage (hope we never need it).
Great prodcut! Very happy with it! – Bought this fridge about 7 months ago, very happy with it. It is noticeably quieter than my previous fridges. The bottom mount design is proved to be very user friendly. What I like most is the moisture balance crisper function which keeps my vegies fresh for much longer than my old fridges! Used to have trouble keeping mushrooms in the fridge for… Read more
more than 3 days, but this fridge keeps mushrooms reasonably fresh for a week without problem! Definitely recommend it.

LG service centre really sucks – I bought my LG fridge/freezer over the phone from HN, no problems there. I had researched the product extensively and this was the one I knew would suit me. So I bought it from HN and it duly arrived by carrier. Unpacked it and found that it has a quite unsightly paint finish. Nowhere on the net did LG tell us that the paint finish was a… Read more
horrible stipple type effect on the body - the door is still glossy white. I sent an email to LG the next day (Jan 22) asking about the finish, a response came a day later asking for photos, so I took nice macro photos and sent 3 to LG. No reply. 29 Jan I sent another email asking for a reply. Nothing. Now it's 11 Feb and still no reply. Seriously, this is bad service. AND, if I'd known about the dodgy paint I would not have bought it.
About how it works... well it's just fine. No probs with the operation... but it looks terrible.
If I had known about this, I would have bought the silvery one, or maybe nothing at all from LG.
Broke within a month - LG refuse to fix it – I bought this fridge a month ago from Betta Electrical in September and within a month the seal on the door has broken. I haven't even had to wipe it over, so it's definately not user error. I call Betta Electrical and they refer me to the LG repair centre. I've now called them about 15 times. THey arrange for a technician to come and fix it, and… Read more
they call and try and come the day before we've arranged, with 15 mins notice, I say 'hey obviously I'm not home', and then they say they will come the next day as scheduled - and they don't turn up! I've also called their contact centre numerous times and they say they will transfer me to the repair centre, and i get put on hold, and they eventually hang up. I've passed this back to Betta, who will hopefully sort it out - but all my food is getting ruined, nothing is staying cold, my freezer is affected presumably because the fridge is working over time, and now i've got sticky marks all over my fridge from having to tape it closed. I had bought this fridge partly based on the reviews about great service from LG, but now - I would never buy from them again!!!
7+ years of use. No issues/great machine! – Just came back to update this review. Had 7+ years now. Been a great machine/no issues. Will leave comments as per what I said back in 2014. Fridge only about 3 meters away from where I sit at PC. Only very minimal slight fan noise which is most acceptable. Excellent lighting in fridge section, no lights in freezer but not an issue/problem IMO.… Read more · 2
Hoping I will like as is 1st time I've had a 'bottom mount' fridge. Seems practical to me as 9/10 one goes to fridge and not freezer section. Has an interesting 'eco' function which I believe can be used anytime but cuts out the lights/lighting. Will be good for anyone going away/on holidays for a period(s) of time as will cut energy usage. Speaking of energy efficiency 4 stars - wow, excellent considering outlay less than $1200.00. (Oct 2014).
Can highly recommend at this very early stage but will try to report back after a month or so. Thought I'd put this one in early as I don't think there is much review info on this model at this date in time. I believe it carries a 2 year standard warranty AND TEN years on Linear Compressor (parts only). Made in Indonesia, but they've been making them there for some time now so hopefully standards are well under control. In any case, for the cost/type of this category of fridge, seems pretty good value in my books.
Hopefully I will feel the same when I report back! ;o)
Regards to all.
