Took a while but got there – Water inlet valve stopped working. No water able to fill the dishwasher. Can't find parts for it. Won't be buying LG again. Doesn't last no where near long enough for the money you pay. Rip Off! Update! Have since found a similar part that has done the job! LG did help me through it Show details · 1
Extremely Disappointed – After the Warranty period expired the machine stopped draining properly, did not always wash the dishes well and flooded my kitchen several times. after persisting with it for a few years I have given up. after contacting LG we were told that it was out of warranty (which we already knew) but unfortunately we are left with a $1000 dishwasher that has been not fit for purchase. Time to move on from LG UNFORTUNATELY Show details
Rubbish only lasted 4 years – Error Ae code!!!!!!!!! Omg water at base of dishwasher. Unable to drain...Then water everywhere on kitchen floor. Terrible product. Rusty trays. Long washing cycles. Large dinner plates dont fit. No wonder they discontinued this product..... Show details

Great dishwasher – Fantastic dishwasher. Never leaves any residual food behind. I find that using the recommended brand of tablets and rinse aid does help with longevity (I've used lg for years before I got this one). Just remember to use finish dishwasher cleaner every month - makes a world of difference. Highly recommended. Show details
Very pleased – Very pleased with this dishwasher. It does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. I use the quick and dry function and it dries really well. I rinse my dishes first so can't say how it would go without that. Our cutlery set didn't fit into the cutlery rack (too long) which is a shame but i just use the basket and use the rack for smaller items… Read more
such as teaspoons etc. It does leave my good cutlery spotty but i just wipe it down with a damp tea towel afterwards. really like the rack layout and you can change the height of the top racks which is useful sometimes. Tall wineglasses don't fit too well but I have a second dishwasher that they go in.
Cleans Well Runs Quiet – This does a pretty good bob of cleaning plates, pots, everything - even does a good job with the knives and forks and runs very quietly. Drying function doesn't really do much so I don't use it. It looks good in our kitchen so I am happy with that. I haven't had any problems rusting but I can see the racks are a bit flimsy but ours is less than two years old. Can't complain at all so far. I like it! Show details

Less than 2 years old ready for the dump – Massise issues with plates not fitting, right from day one. After about a year we noticed rust in the shelving, now two years on prongs are randomy falling off. Worst is the inlet valve system, not a standard solenoid. Our kitchen has totally flooded 4 times now, randomly. Not worth fixing, just have to turn the water tap off every night. Its been a nightmare of an experience Show details

Not what I expected from LG – Bought this dishwasher just over 5 years ago. Had the same issue many have mentioned with the dishes not fitting, but used some square plates and they fitted better. Also our racks started to rust within a couple of years. Have had to repair this unit twice now, first the inlet solenoid went, $300 plus for LG’s recommended repairer to fix, two… Read more
trips even though I told him what the issue was before the first visit. Now the drain pump has failed. Spoke with LG, told that a supervisor would be in touch, two weeks later they finally called back to say they wouldn’t be doing anything, and they believe that it has lasted a reasonable length of time. Previous dishwasher I had bought new was a no-name brand for around $500, lasted over 7 years with no repairs before we sold the house. We will not be paying for LG “quality” again.
A total lemon – Bought this dishwasher in February 2015. Has leaked since it was professionally installed, leaving a puddle of water on the floor after every use. LG approved technicians unable to fix the problem. Stopped working after 2 years, and needed a new power control box installed. Luckily still under manufacturers warranty for that one. Stopped working… Read more
again at end of 2019. Needs another power control box. Not covered under warranty. We are now liable for the cost of a service call (upwards of $160, which is the minimum service call fee), and the cost of a new part (around $200) plus $30 per 10 minute interval to install the new part. NO THANKS! Really disappointed in our experience with LG. A 2 year warranty on a product and a customer support team based offshore that don’t care at all about the cost to their customer of dealing with their lemons. Never again!

Shame LG shame ! – 2 years now off to get fixed, worked well then nothing LG's off shore call centre for warranty work USELESS absoult waste off time No more LG rubbish and bad service for me Show details
very poor quality racks – Replaced upper rack after 2 years, now 4 years old lower rack rusting away and the cutlery rack wheel supports fell off this morning. Very disappointed with this unit. Other than the rusty racks it is a very good dishwasher used every morning. These parts are not cheap to buy. I definitely would not buy another LG dishwasher. September 26th 2019… Read more
Update: poor back up by LG
purchased an LG dishwasher LD-1482T4 December 2014. after warranty expired after 2 years the fingers on the lower dish rack started falling off from severe rust under the plastic coating. The extended warranty doesn't cover the problem so I bought a new lower rack for $190. Now just lately the cutlery rack actually fell of during a wash cycle and also the upper rack has been rusting under the plastic coating. LG are not interested as the warranty has well expired but the problem hasn't just happened it has slowly been rusting under the plastic coating for a year or 2 I would think. LG Australia's lack of interest is astounding. I have just recently purchased an LG Instaview refrigerator and am extremely happy with it. Just hope I have no warranty problems as LG have been by far the worst people to deal with I have ever met. No more LG products for me ever.
Would not recommend this dishwasher – We bought this dishwasher from Harvey Norman in 2016. While it does a reasonable job, and is very quiet, we discovered the dish rack/drawers were rusting badly about 18 months after purchase. Staff at Harvey Norman have been very good, and all three drawers were replaced within the two year manufacturers warranty, but one of these drawers is now… Read more
starting to show signs of rust only three months after being replaced. The rust is not in an area subject wear from placing dishes or cutlery, being underneath. In fact almost all of the significant rust which has occurred on the original drawers is away from areas subject to dishes or cutlery placement wear.
In my opinion, these drawers are not fit for purpose, as required under Australian consumer law.
For added protection, we purchased an extended warranty, but the fine print says anything affected by rust is not covered. Another disappointment.
I would not recommend this machine to anyone. I would not buy a LG dishwasher again.
LG Direct Drive Dishwasher Cleans and Drys – I purchased this LG dishwasher as I was told it had a direct drive system which meant only a pump/motor on the end of the drum and a computer. I was told that as all whitegoods have computer PCI boards to buy a Crest Surge Protector for $20 which I did. This dishwasher cleans and drys better than any dishwasher I have every used even in the… Read more
quick cycle which we use mostly everything comes out sparkling and dry. It is very quite, we use Finish Tabs and Rinse Aid always. I have had the service people out during the 4th year of owning the dishwasher as the door had got full of water. I always get extended warranty on all of my major appliances so that was just fixed, the day after I rang no charge. It has more than earnt its money now. There are better boutique named dishwashers on the market at a premium price. I will be replacing with another LG.

a great friend – its a great machine lots of ways to make life easy, different setting and programs, easy clean outside and in, filters are easy to clean , but not needed often. even my casserole dish comes out clean, which my last machine did not do. its quiet, and love the sound of it telling me its finished. Don't buy an LG. Nothing but trouble – This was a warranty replacement for a previous LG dishwasher that I had no end of trouble with. The replacement managed to last a bit longer, but has now also packed it in. It never cleaned well and after spending a fortune having the heat pump replaced, I now find out that the circuit board is probably toast. I spent over a grand hoping for… Read more
decent quality and what I got was a waste of time and money. Not impressed at all and on my next machine, which I now have to buy, I guarantee I will not purchase an LG. Purchase date below was the original model.
Check your plate and cup racks, as plastic splits and metal underneath rusts – A word of warning for anyone that already owns one of these or is thinking of buying one of these. Check the dish racks for splits in the plastic coating. They may be minor now, but once the metal under neath is exposed it rusts causing the splits in the plastic to get bigger and bigger. If you don't do something about it, your dish racks won't… Read more
last any where near as long as the motor. We bought our dishwasher mid 2016 and noticed earlier this year (2017) the plastic coating on the middle rack (the one commonly used for mugs, glasses etc) was splitting and the metal exposed and rusting. Since it was still under warranty we contacted LG. Pretty much the first question they asked was 'Are you putting the plates in correctly?' It turned out that they were implying the problem was caused by us placing dishes in the racks too roughly! After exchanging a couple of emails and providing pictures of the damage, they finally agreed to replace the affected dish rack. Last week, just over 6 months since the rack was replaced, we noticed it too had splits in the plastic coating. We examined the bottom rack and it too has splits. We have contacted LG again, as still under warranty. Again we have been told that the problem is caused because plates and cutlery are being put in the dishwasher too roughly! We have been using a dishwasher for over 20 years - more than one brand and this is the first time we've ever had a problem with plastic coating splitting. In addition, some of the affected areas on the racks are on the underside and never come in contact with plates, cutlery etc. We actually use the cutlery rack for knives, forks, spoons etc and our food preparation knives are all hand washed and never go in the dishwasher at all. I spoke with a friend who has worked in the plastics industry and his opinion LG's supplier of the racks is using a substandard coating.
Pretty good – I've had this for about 5 months now and I can't complain. It cleans well and is very quiet. I like the layout of the racks and they are also adjustable. My only gripe was the hoses for the installation. The one way valve is crimped on to the hose so I had to cut a huge hole through the back of my cupboard to install it. Also the 'dry' function doesn't work. The dishes are still wet as. The door needs to be cracked for the dishes to dry. Show details
Rust causing middle tray dish rack to collapse - BAD – I purchased this product just under 3 yrs ago after reading reviews on its quietness etc. It is much quieter than other dishwashers I have owned, and I just love the top cutlery/utensil tray. As others say, it does not take full size dinner plates within reach of the arm, so I pack them on the outside. I have two Corelle plate sets, one fits… Read more
below arms the other not.
Rust started to form on the door over a year ago and to be honest, I ignored it as it does not affect wear however now one of the lugs holding the plate rack upright on the middle tray rusted out and it eventually broke off. This is a different matter as it means I can't use the rack on the middle tray thus affecting my whole load.
This is the 3rd dishwasher I have used here in the same house over a 25 year period ie the other two lasted about 11 years each and replaced when eventually failing mechanically. LG were no help after I lodged a Case Number, suggesting I buy another tray. I have run their supplier, it is $163.96 + $30 freight - a total of $193.96. For a machine that cost 50% more than others I've brought, this is totally unacceptable.
When I purchased from Harvey Norman I purchased a 3 yr Warranty Extension, but that schemes customer service tell me because the problem is not mechanical, it is not covered.
Stay away - bad customer service & a badly produced, expensive product.
POSTSCRIPT. After writing to LG and bc to Harvey Norman, LG sent me an email on how to remove rust. I was also contacted by a lady from the store I purchased it from. [name removed] went 'above and beyond' on my behalf, and liaised with LG to have my broken tray replaced. This arrived yesterday and hubby has installed it. Thanks so much Harvey Norman - excellent customer service from [name removed].
more pros than cons – Cons... It is not quiet. It's not loud but people have commented on how quiet it is... and it's not, I can hear it from the next room. There aren't as many options to select as our previous machine. PROs both utensil tray AND utensil basket. and both are optional and adaptable .. genius You can remove top tray, and there are three… Read more
heights for second tray.. so is versatile
the utensil tray you can have deep for fiddly things.. but of course that does mean less room on the next shelf

10 year guarantee on motor and extended Warranty... hopefully this one will last
Large dinner plates don't fit ( 28cm ) – So far I have only use my dishwasher once and it seem to wash well and is very quite . But I can't fit my dinner plates in without the top arm clipping the top of the plates . I have tried moving one of the inner prongs on the bottom rack , one click and then I can fit my plates in BUT the rack can't hold it keeps collapsing you should be able to… Read more
lock the rack into place so it can't collapse , that would solve the large plate problems . I don't want have to go out and buy new plates when my 2 dinner sets are only 4 mths old . Maybe the sale people should tell these things before you spend your money on something that doesn't do what you need .
Waste of money – It doesn't clean my dishes well at all, they are always left dirty. Our forks and knives have food left on them and our cups have fingerprints and stains left on them. LG's support is not helpful at all. I would not recommend to buy this product. very disappointed !!!! Show details
just buy it! – this dishwasher is awesome! the racks fold down on bottom making it versatile for bigger pots or platters. the cutlery rack is a lifesaver making more room for plates down the bottom. we can entertain a group of 8 with 2 courses and fit it all in this dishwasher. perfect clean every time! have recommended this dishwasher to 3 friends who also love it. Sparkling Clean – I recently purchased the LG LD-1482T4 Dishwasher, which is amazing, so when our faithful Westinghouse died recently, we didn't hesitate to go for the LG dishwasher. We were initially put off by some of the reviews about the plate size. But as another reviewer has said, the top rack is adjustable, and so we have not had any problems fitting in our… Read more
27cm-sized dinner plates. The slim Inverter Direct Drive Motor opens up space with enough room for a third rack – ideal for cutlery, espresso cups or utensils! Super-quiet and the standard wash runs for only one hour. Very happy
So pleaed with my purchase – best white goods I have purchased, time saving for a busy family, but has the function to do small loads as well, if stacked correctly the dishes are washed very well, it runs very quietly, I love the functions on it from eco to quick & everything in between, water saving is very economical too. Love my LG Dishwasher – I bought this dishwasher while living in my previous house and loved everything about it . I ran it on 29 min cycle most days and it handled everything I threw at it . Pots and pans, plates and glassware.... all came out sparkly and fresh and near dry . The first thing I did when we moved last year was to hunt down another and have it installed . Oh and I am really partial to the "happy tune" that plays to let me know my dishes are done :) Show details
Good product – This is the same dishwasher that I had in my last home but I didn't realise until I first used it. I use the 59min program and it washes and dries dishes beautifully. It is incredibly quiet. The top rack is flexible for wine glasses etc. Only issue is sometimes the bottom tray comes off the runners when its full and I'm pushing it in. Just have to make sure I'm pushing from the front. I'm very happy with it Show details
Does its job if you stack it carefully – The machine is slow, but provided one stacks things carefully, rinses the items first if really dirty, puts the cutlery in facing the correct way and places the tablet in the bottom not in the dispenser, it does a good job. It is quiet except for the silly music it emits when finished. Sometimes items are still dirty, if not carefully… Read more
inserted/stacked. It has an eco cycle and works well with our soft, low pressure rainwater. Some cheap powders do not seem to work well in it. No need for water softener if using rainwater. Cleaning the grid and dirt trap is not that easy. Easy to clean outside.
After an initial let down and replacement because of excessive noise – we are totally impressed with the replacement. It is quiet to the extent that if the operating lights were not on you would think it was not running. The dishes are sparkling clean again. It has many different programs to use including half wash.quick wash, true steam plus others.there is plenty of places including the cutlery rack to load all the… Read more
dishes. It was not a cheap dishwasher although we got a good deal so hopefully we will get many trouble free years out of this one.
Works perfect – Bought this LG dishwasher about 4 months ago, works really well. The seperate cutlery rack up the top means you can stack a lot more pots and pans etc lower beneath the glasses and cups. Its quiet and cleans things amazingly. Pros Works as intended Quiet Lots of space 10 year motor warranty. Clever height adjustable racks Drys well Got it cheap on pre Christmas sales Cons non so far Show details
The quiet achiever! – This dishwasher does it all. The top (three racks) rack for long cutlery items is a bonus. We particularly like the Half Load option and the ability to Delay Start. The latter allowing us to wash the dishes during the night using off-peak electricity tariff. This is an inverter direct drive motor dishwasher with a 10-year warranty on motor.… Read more
Like all LG washing appliances this makes for a quiet and robust machine.
Yes, it cleans and dries the dishes just as you would hope. We have never been disappointed with this dishwasher. If I had to buy another I would buy one just like this.
Appliances Online were fantastic. They took the 8 year old, and no longer working, Asko dishwasher away as part of the delivery and installation process.
fantastic – It's quiet, I love the utensils rack, it's big enough for pots etc it's easy to clean , it's so easy to choose what cycle to use, I really like that you have choices such as half loads and quick washes, and the auto selection is great, and it makes everything so sparkly especially the wine glasses ! We love it! – I am sorry to see so many people not happy with this product. We have had ours over 12 months and are always telling people how much we love it. The half wash is awesome. The machine is really quiet. I really realised just how good we've got after a recent interstate visit to various family households and using 4 different dishwashers. We have… Read more
had several dishwashers in the past (F&P, Bosch, Dishlex) and nothing compares - this is simply the best. Of course, time will be the real teller in relation to some of the complaints in these reviews - hopefully we are just as happy in 5 years from now. But for now - can't fault it.
Do not buy! – Bottom tray rusted after 2 years. How can a product that, by design is constantly in water, rust! LG's response. Go buy a new one at my expense. Bearings in water pump seized after 3 years. Complete and utter waste of money. Has cost so much in repairs it's beyond a joke. Buy another brand. Show details
Not a good wash – Everytime I use this machine I have to put items back in for a second wash. I have tried small loads, different positioning but there are always some items still dirty. Cutlery is hit and miss (lower basket) - some clean some still dirty - tried putting it both ways (up & down) but same result. Items on top shelf the same some clean some dirty. Not happy with this machine. Show details
Really happy with this product – Bought this product from Harvey Norman two weeks ago. We've only used it a few times, but we have found it really good. I like putting it on auto wash and let it do its thing. There is plenty of room to put everything and the third tray for knives and forks is cool. You can also adjust the height of the rack which comes pretty useful. Show details
