Stops heating every 6-12 months – Have had this microwave fixed several times under warranty and its just stopped heating again! Now no longer under warranty. Lady at the appliance repair shop told me last time I picked it up that they have this model coming into be repaired often with the same issue. Do not buy this microwave. Show details
Do Not Buy A LG Microwave Please Stay Away – Have owned for 2 1/2 years and no longer works very poor for the money you pay, also had a family member have a similar issue with an LG microwave but that was within a year still under normal warranty. Did speak to LG, its outside of any warranty and the closest service centre is an hours drive just to have it looked at and then would only be… Read more
covered if it was a faulty "magnetron". Not worth buying with all the issues you see online about LG Microwaves. Please do your research if your thinking about buying an LG Microwave.
Big Bucks For Quality - NOT, – Decided to buy a quality microwave in the hopes it would last. Within 1 year it was broken. Hour & half to service agent. Another year gone & it’s broken again! LG quality has degraded badly. Won’t buy any LG product ever again. Off to Kmart. Jan 24 - has broken again - off to the tip Show details
I own an LG washing machine and fridge/freezer but this microwave just doesn't cut the mustard – It worked well for a few months, but then the controls inside the door stopped working so I had to disconnect the power each time to get them back again. One day it started up on its own while I was sitting close by! Another time it seemed to be cycling through displaying different numbers and playing random sounds. Now finally after 9 months it… Read more
has thrown in the towel and refuses to cook at all, it goes through all the motions of cooking but the food doesn't get hot. I shall be returning it to the retailer tomorrow for something more reliable.
This microwave ticked all my boxes, using it does not! – I bought this on Friday as it was on sale at Myer (JB HiFi matched the price). I paid $175.00. Love the look, hidden buttons and easy to clean glass door plus bright light. No more beeps, instead a lovely musical sound. The door opens and closes quietly. Perfect size to fit my Ikea dinner plates. I favoured this microwave because of the warranty. … Read more
Manual is terrible and lacking recipes. I tested the rice preset. OMG 27 minutes to cook 200g of rice? Of course I did not use the built in cooking menu and instead 10 minutes on high using boiling water gave perfect jasmine rice. I can only assume all the other presets will be useless.
Tested popcorn in a paper bag and papadams, both cooked well.

Worth it for the jingle alone! – I could not be happier with this microwave. It was a worthy winner of the Choice award for Microwave of the Year. Its speed, ease of use, even-ness of heating and functionality (being able to even use for yoghurt / bread proofing) are unbeatable. And sometimes I put a cup of water in it for no reason other than to listen to the catchy jingle it plays at finish! Far better than my previous Miele micro, so glad I purchased. Show details · 1
Sincerely disappointing... Worst microwave I've ever had – The only thing stopping me from leaving a 1-star rating is that this microwave does heat the food up... eventually. I wish I was kidding when I tell you that the microwave took round about 18 minutes (on its highest power setting) to heat up soup this evening. And my soup still has cold blobs in the middle. You can imagine my sincere… Read more
disappointment when you finally get around to shoving that nice, home-cooked soup into the microwave, and then after an 18 minute wait and stirring 3 times, you go to take a couple of enthusiastic mouthfuls, and yuuuuuuuck... there're all these cold blobs still mixed in with the hot bits. Oh man! Who's ever heard of a microwave that takes 18 minutes to heat soup? Let alone a "state of the art" machine that has an alleged 1000W of power? What that an LG typo? Did they actually mean 100W of power?
I've owned 30 year old, crappy 2nd hand clunkers in the past that've worked better & faster than this modern, self proclaimed "whizz bang" of a machine. It really is just a pretty face, and not much more than that. EXACTLY what I didn't want or need for $200+.
The only reason I went looking for a new machine back in November last year, was that my ever-trusty and reliable 20 year old Sharp Carousel had finally beeped its last. I'd bought the old Carousel 2nd hand, it used less power, and always heated up the food perfectly and quickly. Never had any issues with Good Old Trusty.
And then it was my poor misfortune to come across this brand new LG on Appliances Online. On paper, the microwave sounded terrific, and all the glowing reviews seemed to back it up. It really does have a sleek design, the photos aren't lying - but that's just about the only good thing about it, and it's a point that I personally couldn't care less about. You cant key in your time - you have to 'slide' it in, so it's not even as straight forward to use as it could be. It's a fairly noisy & clunky operator. This machine is a serious under-performer for the amount of power it chews, and exactly how it's managed to score this many glowing reviews from my fellow consumers, is a mystery that deeply troubles me, and will haunt me to my dying day. If I hadn't have just spent $200+ on this machine, I would throw it out of my window as far as I could fling it, and never buy another LG microwave again.
For all the fancy fandangle functions this microwave has, compared to the older ones, it can't even heat up a bowl of soup properly on its highest setting after 18 minutes. So that, for me, is a big microwave FAIL.

Does the job and looks great – We had to replace our old microwave after 9 years of faithful service and found the LG NeoChef. It was nice that they offered a white one as it matched our kitchen. The touch controls are simple and easy to use and offer a number of additional features but to be honest, our main use is just pressing the start button a few times to get up to the… Read more · 1
desired time and off it goes. Food is heated evenly and it plays a cute little tune once the time is up and your food is ready. I knocked off one star for three reasons: the door is ever so slightly out of alignment with the body so looks like it's not quite closed even when it is, the unit is quite light so moves when you open the door and finally it makes a buzzing sound when heating one in a while - time will tell how it holds out over time but for now, it's a great product.
Heat up wonder – When it was time to replace our existing microwave of 6 years, which we mostly used for reheating, my criteria was to find something relatively smaller, still using an inverter technology, heats up food quickly and not that expensive. Although not a priority, an elegant external look wouldn't hurt. After searching for several options, I ended with… Read more
2 picks, but decided to get the LG Neochef 25L. I picked the white one to blend with the kitchen color. It meets all our criteria and brought a different look to our kitchen making the area look bigger. Heats up perfectly, although as expected a bit longer due to a lower wattage compared to our previous one. But an additional 30 seconds doesn't make much difference for us and heats the food perfectly. The easy touch of extending the heating time is also a welcome feature. I'm not certain for cooking but for those who use it for mainly reheating, it's a perfect choice.
Small but mighty – Bought this microwave oven for my mum to replace the old one. It is sleek, classy and heats food quickly and evenly. I would have preferred one in black for maximum sleekness. The touch controls are easy to use and very responsive. I like that this microwave over only microwaves, and that 1 touch of the button takes care of all my microwave needs.… Read more
Simple and effective. The only downside to this product is that, because it is so light, opening and closing the door sometimes moves the whole oven. Mild inconvenience. I would have rated 4.5/5.
Does not work well – Bought this microwave 6 months ago to replace an ageing Omega (approx 10 years old) that had been loosing the ability to heat food gradually over the previous few months. All I can say is that a 10 year old Omega microwave performed better than a brand new LG microwave with “Smart Inverter Magnatron”. My wife and I both have been using the… Read more
microwave to heat Lite’n’Easy meals and often have to increase heating times by up to 60% or more to actually get food to be hot. As an example the meal I heated tonight had a suggested cooking time of 8 minutes. Knowing the microwave is ineffective I set the timer for 11 minutes after which time I then had to heat it a further 3 minutes before it was suitably hot. I am not over exaggerating and nor is my mouth heat proof. I once tried heating a similar meal of roast chicken the recommended time and the piece of chicken was literally still frozen. I am well aware that power outputs of microwaves vary (this model is 1000w) and this can effect heating times however this appliance seriously underperforms. I’ve owned several LG appliances in the past (TV, washing machine, dishwasher) and all these performed very well and influenced my decision to buy the LG product again. I regret purchasing this product and strongly suggest to anyone considering this product that you look elsewhere.
Suave looking microwave – This microwave looks great in our recently renovated kitchen. The black, sleek look of the front of the microwave adds class to our kitchen now. Love how the handle is integrated into the door. Our last microwave, the handle broke. I like this feature of this particular microwave and one of the main reason why I chose this microwave. Not to mention that it's easy to use Show details
First one lasted 2 months then F3 code, replaced and now the 2nd wont work F3 code :( – Loved it when it worked. First one was replaced within 2 months, was making an annoying whirring sound from new then F3 code and could not use keypad. 2nd lasted about 5 months then F3 code and cannot use keypad. Have been told it could be fluctuations in power? Bought surge protector, use on ,microwave socket worked for a day then F3 code. Cannot… Read more

Haven't had a single fault with it and matches the rest of my kitchen! – I love my LG microwaves. I've had 3 over the years and only replaced them due to upsizing and moving! I have never had a single issue yet and always seem to be able to find a good variety in colour to match my kitchen at the time. I find it easy to use Show details
Poor Microwave – I purchased this from an online store and was not happy it heats up food slower and slower each consective item that you place into it I contacted LG customer service and they said I need to call them and bring the appliance into a service centre as they did not understand my problem. Best advice go with the most powerful microwaves as they heat… Read more
up the fastest and do not seem to get tired when heating up 3 plates of food like this one. LG warranty service is very poor for this product.
great microwave oven – This microwave is great its pretty quiet and cooks and reheats foods really well. We love it for its quickness and how easy it is to use although different from our recently old microwave it fits in the home well it also didnt come with a microwave dish and lid so thats also a difference but all over we're happy with it so far Show details
Great Microwave - efficient – Replaced my 10 years old microwave with this little gem. Stylish looking. Have it for over 6 weeks, basic stuff, just warming food. Easy to use. Still learning on how to use all the functions... The finish "ding" is very soft that though musical, no way able to have it if I was out of the kitchen. Reasonable value for money. Hope it last. Touch buttons needs to be more visible – The microwave is sleek and stylish. Warms up food nicely, cool downs and dehumidifies after use which is a plus. The only thing that's a bit hard to use is the timer and start and stop button. They are very hard to see on the microwave in the dark as they are not physical button but a touch button (sensor) on the door. Show details
