Replacing Drain Hose – Had to replace drain hose on washing machine. Impossible job to do easily as it required the machine to be pulled apart to get to the connection. Very appalling design which should have been an easy job without the need to get a repair man in.

Great product and reliable – We bought this in 2014 and still running without any issues. Very quiet operation, we normally run it with cold water and 1400 RPM spin dry. Clothes come out almost dry! Very easy to use, no issues with clothes being damaged as long as other precautions are taken. (Delicates/stretchy clothes are put into a separate washing bag). Show details ·  1

Slowest washing machine – The normal washing is fine but when it comes to post drying, it is taking more than 4 hours for cooling down the machine. And you won't know when it will complete. Nothing else you can do about it but wait. I don't recommend it.

6 years and still running fine (touch wood!!) – Purchased this machine in June 2013 after previous machine (electrolux) died. This machine is used daily with no major issues detected. I mainly use the intensive cycle at 1400 rpm (64 mins) and it cleans the clothing well and hasn't ruined anything. Delicates and woolens have all come out fine. The only time an item/s hasn't come out clean is… Read more

if I haven't cleaned the rubber door seals and run the machine on an empty hot wash every now and then. For smaller loads the quick wash at 1400 rpm (34 mins) works well. As with most things, there is usually something that you don't like about a product. I find the noise coming from the hose as it is filling to be rather loud - something I didn't notice with the electrolux. I thought that said previous machine was loud during the spin cycle, but I consider this machine to be louder. I don't like how the door doesn't open as soon as a load is complete. And god help if you find something else to put in once the load has started. It feels like forever before the door unlocks! All in all though, it's a good machine in my opinion

Great washing machine, questionable longevity – We purchased this washing machine back in 2014 to replace our LG front loader that I bought as a factory second. First impressions the machine is much quieter with the direct drive motor. It great not being able to hear it running. I have always found LG washers to clean our clothes well. This is our 3rd LG front loader. We always use the 30… Read more

minute cycle to clean our mildly dirty clothes, on the odd occasion we will use another cycle.

Beat feature of this machine is definately the 30 minute quick wash cycle and the direct drive motor.

Cons: After owning this machine for 3 years now, a few things are starting to question how long it will last. This machine and the previous LG had an issue with the door switch, where we would start a cycle and would have to give the door a nudge so the machine would start its cycle.

Second issue, the washing machine no longer beaps or makes any sound to say it has finished a cycle.

Thirdly over the last 12 months we have noticed the washing machine has become a bit more noisy and the vibration has increased. We have done everything from readjusting the legs a number of times to stopping the machine and trying to even out the load. Still doesn't seem to help.

It still works well, I'm just wondering if we are going to have to replace it again in a couple of years.

Quiet and effective – We purchased this model one year ago, after our previous LG washing machine had started leaking from the detergent tray. Given that our previous LG lasted 10 years, we decided to stick with the brand. Reviews on the WD14022D6 were good and accurate. The WD14022D6 is whisper quiet. During washing, you see the drum move, but you do not hear it… Read more

except for some very faint sound of water moving around, which is only audible if you are right up-close. The direct-drive makes a huge difference. When on centrifuge there is some noise, but it is not excessive. The 1,400RPM centrifuge is extremely effective, and clothes come out significantly dryer compared to our previous machine (which only did 800RPM). The difference is that clothes now fully dry within a day during winter, compared to multiple days.

The WD14022D6 has other improvements compared to the older machine. The feet are more easily (and reliably) adjustable for balancing. The soap dispenser tray has a better design. The WD14022D6 weighs laundry carefully and does a great job at working out how much laundry there is, how long to wash, and balances the weight well before starting a spin cycle.

Before buying it, I compared it with other brands. Samsungs look nice, but reviews were very poor. Bosch has a good reputation, but I found the build quality of the display model inferior to LG.

The WD14022D6 is a great machine from a brand which has established a reputation for reliability in washing machines.

So quiet!! – Bought this model to replace my previous LG model which lasted me for just under 15 years.. It was on sale as it was being superceded by the newer model. I couldn't be happier with it. I spin everything on 1400 rpm so my clothes feel practically dry when I take them out. I do tend to use the cold wash only as there are only myself and partner… Read more

to wash for. It is so quiet that I sometimes have to check to make sure it's still washing!! I love the little jingle it plays when the cycle is finished. Highly recommend any LG product.

No issues, clean clothes – Quiet unit with 1400 remember spin, no noticeable drain on power bills, does like to walk a little however this may be due to the floor it's on. Ha email owned for 3 years with no issues and all seems to be on the up. Use the cold wash mostly however the medical rinse gets used when the kids are sick. All in all very happy  Show details

Appalling after sales support – It's been a great machine but it developed a problem 4 years down the track it's starting togive a musty stale smell from within the drum and so we rang the helpline which is in the Philippines and you CANT get an aussie number for their head office there actually ISN'T one so when I tried to explain the problem I couldn't understand a word she… Read more

Great washer but one major flaw! – This washer dryer combo COULD HAVE been great... but it has a major flaw. It washes well, good modes, great build quality. Very simple to use and intuitive controls. The spin cycle can be a bit violent... we have leveled the feet but the thing rattles the old house we live in... so we max out at 800 rpm. The major issue is that this thing… Read more

holds your clothes hostage! If you use it to dry anything... It locks and won't release your clothes until the cool down is complete. Big problem... cool down takes several hours! It gets worse... there is no timer to show you how much time is left! Not only that but the dryer is about 50% effective. I regret getting a 2in1 now and wish we had saved money getting a separate dryer and washer. Oh well, lesson learned... luckily we rarely dry things in it, and if we do... we do it knowing it could be 6 to 8 hrs.

Problems with door – Door won't open when the music says its finished, you have to wait about 10 mins which is very frustrating when you're in a hurry, the door also doesn't close probably all the time. We've had it over a year now and it's leaving scum over darker coloured clothes, even though we clean the so called filter, which doesn't do a very good job. It's a shame that these 2 design problems bring the washer down, as I like everything else about it.  Show details

Great product, convenient to use – Great product, very easy to use with different modes for different purposes or clothes types. I mainly use the quick 30 mode, which has my clothes clean in 30 minutes! The LCD screen also shows how much time is left on each cycle which is very convenient. Reliable product and not too noisy.  Show details

Reliable produce – LG is very producing quality washing machines. The direct drive technology with 10 years warranty is the best. Less noise and lots of options to choose. Does the job well. Can be more harder in washing stains and needs that kind of option, otherwise this is a good machine for the price. Recommend LG Washing Machines.  Show details

Washes OK but it is NOISY ! – Bought this, my second LG, just over a year ago. It washes ok, I usually use the 30min cycle (35 mins when using 1400 spin). My machine is definitely NOT QUIET. It is considerably noisy. There is also a knocking noise in the pipes when the machine is filling which we have become used to.  Show details ·  1

Great reliable washing machine – I've had this washing machine for about a year now and I've found it to be very reliable. I've had no issues at all. The "standard" cotton mode is generally what I use and it washes my clothes well in 1.5-3 hours (depending on how big the load is). I've found that its a relatively quiet machine, even when completing a 1400 rpm spin. I wouldn't… Read more

call it "whisper quiet", but its certainly quieter than other machines. I have it running in my apartment and have no problem with the amount of noise it makes.

My only minor issue is that the door takes a minute or so to unlock once a cycle finishes. Can be a little annoying if you're in a rush.

Good washer – Best front loader machine i have ever bought, the direct drive motor make it run much quieter and balances the washing evenly when it spins,I also like how it heats up the washing,if you want it to.LG is a brand that i can trust they have been around since thomas edison, just a different name back then.It is very quiet it has a musical tone just to let you know it,s finished.  Show details

If only that bell stopped chiming – The washer itself is ok. The cycle times are long so I use the shorted time possible. It still cleans. But then again my kids go through that many clothes a day, im sure they weren't dirty to begin with. They come out reasonably dry (sometimes i wonder if I washed them at all). But at the end the bell that rings to let you know your washing is… Read more

done. Doesn't stop. I always used to put my washing on before leaving the house and thought when I came back the washing had finished at the same time.

singing washing machineo – I love the 30 minutes cycle, it washes great then spins dry all in that time, then it plays a little tune so I know it is finished. Just need to wait a couple of minutes for the door to release. With 7 people in our house, there is always a lot of washing, so with this 30 minute cycle, I can have it all on the line in no time.  Show details

Great washing machine – It dries the clothes super quick as the spin is so powerful. I havent had any issues however have only had it for 4 months. The only downside is that when it notifies me that its finished it takes about a good 5 minutes before the door unlatches which really annoys me.  Show details

Great washing machine for the price – I love it, all the functions that it has, from 30min wash to woolen clothing. My brother hasn't complained about this washing machine, so to me it must be good. Washing things is great, comes up nice and clean. I just wish that LG would be like Asko washing machine, where it only uses 1 tap for cold and hot water.  Show details

Amazing wash and spins to almost dry – I've only used it 5 times so far but it is quiet, washes beautifully and spins the clothing to almost dry, which is the most impressive part as far as I'm concerned. A washing machine mechanic recommended it to me as a reliable machine. It replaces my previous front loader which seemed flimsy by comparison. October 12th 2017 Update: Love how… Read more

this washes and almost dries!

I love how well this machine washes. It spins the clothing so well that it almost totally dries it. I read the reviews here before I purchased it and none of the negative things I read have been an issue for me. This is the best machine I've ever had in 38 years of marriage.

Love my machine its excellent on washing and the drying cycle – I bought my front loader/dryer from the JB Hi Fi for $980 , after years of owning a top loader I thought I would buy a front loader so did it cleans very well and dry's well have had no problems with my machine I love it . I know the door doesn't open straight away but hey long the jingle it plays , it is a safety feature on it in case a child opens it after washing on hot so don't get steam scald makes sense to me . I love the way it dry's my clothes too after the was h cycle so soft and wrinkle free as well I am extremely happy with my machine have no complaints at all . If you read the instructions it states their is a child safety lock on the door which takes longer to open , I would definitely buy another one when it wears out in the future thank you LG .

Really GOOD Washing Machine – Good watching machine, only problem is that the door is a pain to open when it has finished a cycle. Sometimes it allows you to open immediately, other times it can take a long time up to 10 minutes. Other than this, the quick wash and varied spin cycle features are fantastic. Even the medic wash for my nursing uniform. Overall really good but just the door is annoying.  Show details

Doing Everything I Want – Had a short time but find it a big improvement over the Bosch it replaced. Installation was quick and easy. EG: Short wash with maximum spin speed (1,400… Read more

rpm) . With the Bosch a higher spin could only be achieved when a 2 hour plus program was selected. Results in noticeably faster drying.

Now using detergent pods (tried Omo and Cold Power) both work well.

Clothes clean as one would wish.

Makes a few strange noises/actions but not annoying.

Overall am pleased with my decision to purchase this machine.

Amazing washing machine – Clothes come out feeling almost dry and smelling clean and fresh. So far hasnt made colours run (only ever use cold wash). Fairly quiet, only really makes a noise when its spinning. But love the tune it plays when its done. My favourite features are the quick 30 and the fact its a front loader hahaha  Show details

good but loud – easy to use. smart phone technology is a waste of time. it said machine is ok but the fault IS there!! but the rinse pump is not working properly and is very loud so cloths do not rinse well. Aftercare from LG is no good at all , i phoned and emailed and no care about problem not even a service engineer in my area.will not buy another . rinse pump is a common fault in all there machines for the past 3 years but they still have not fixed it.  Show details

It does a good job – The washing machine has been good so far. It washes better than our last Bosch. When it senses the water and weighs it makes the pipes noisy. Also theres no pause. You also can't do a half load. The shortest cycle is 60 minutes and would have preferred a 15 minute wash. However, it has a 24 month warranty.  Show details

Much needed – I can't believe how quiet this machine is compared to my old one. I absolutely love this machine. The only thing I can critique is that you can't change the times on it like other machines. It hasn't been as much of an issue than I expected though. This machine leaves my clothes so fresh and clean and it spins them out so well that they take hardly any time to dry. I love it  Show details

Best Washer Yet – This is our third LG washer, and the best one by far. The choice of cycles and washing motions cleans the wash and protects the garments at the same time. The best washing machine – Cleans and washes clothes very well makes them look like new. Very quiet no issues with noise even having a slope laundry it doesn't miss a beat. Once the clothes have been washed and ready to hang out they come out very dry. My favorite feature in this machine is the crease care because once the clothes have been washed and dried just pop them away & no ironing.  Show details

Perfect front loader – Cleans and washes clothes without impregnating lint and fluff. Quiet and Clothes come out very dry with high spin cycle. Still need dryer if you desire. This is our second simular model LG machine and first one lasted 7 years before bearings collapsed.
