Totally disappointed – This machine was repaired twice under my warranty, the first time drum etc completely dropped, 2nd time pump. I should have called again about drum but were in COVID lockdown times and life got busy after that. Then machine got an error and would not work. Just after 5 years. This machine was nothing but problematic. Clothes would get in under the… Read more

drum. This product and experience has put me off LG. Repair quote was over $1,300 LG would only replace motor parts of the quote which reduced to repair quote to about $900+. 10 year motor warranty basically means nothing imo. Would have been happy for discount on next machine instead as the machine was not worth repairing. I paid $165 for an assessment and quote it was confirmed machine still had same issues as when it was repaired in warranty but to no avail. Apparently this was a common problem with this machine. This machine should have been replaced from the start not repaired. Unfortunately I don't usually speak up and when I did I was out of time and LG and The Good Guys (extended warranty) could no longer help me. Lesson learned. Don't put up with a product that is faulty from the start and keep following up.

What a piece of rubbish!! – I purchased my LG 14kg washing machine in April 2022 and it started to rust out within 3 months. I’m now in January 2024 and the machine won’t rinse or drain. LG won’t take responsibility for the rust saying it’s what I use in the machine (washing powder) so they are selling a washing machine that can’t handle washing powder!! I wash bedding… Read more

Absolutely Terrible - Returned the next day – Bought the 10kg top loader LG washing machine Model number WTG1034WF and sent it straight back to the good guys the next day. The actual drum of this washing machine is unrealistically deep and I needed to use long bbq tongs to grab my washing out. You need to be at least 6” to grab the clothes out. Secondly, I did the first load of washing and my… Read more

clothes came out dirtier than what they originally were. Full of lint and dust. Third, a regular wash cycle takes 2 hours and doesn’t fill the machine with enough water. Lastly, we were told this washing machine will NOT tangle our clothes. Turns out it did in fact completely knot out clothes together and I sat for an hour untangling everything before being able to put in my dryer. Please DO NOT waste your money or time looking at this washing machine.

Flimsy, unreliable product – I’ve had my washing machine for 1 year and 3 days. My family consist of 2 adults and 3 children who are less than teens. So the load is average. Although cycle times are rather long but some of the cycles are useful so we tend to alternate between cycles depending on amount of loads. Everything seemed to be fine until we came across a major parts… Read more

failure. During the spin cycle it suddenly made a clashing sound and started making puddles of water from the base of the washing machine. I have called up LG Electornic Service Centre and they have dispatched a technician the very next day. The technician had a look and took a photo where the water was leaking from. It had a large crack on the outer drum with metal piece wedged. With the knowledge that it’s a major failure of the product and being under the warranty, I have asked for replacement or money back. To be fair, I may have been unlucky person who got the lemon but when a product had a major failure and you have spent over $1000 on a washing machine these days, I expected a prompt response and reaction from companies like LG. I know there is only so much a customer service representative can do over a phone but when so-called Case Manager denies your rights to escalate the matter to someone above him just because he doesn’t want to, it really defines an attitude the company has with its customers. It has been over 12 days and we have run out of fresh set of clothes for my kids. We can only do so much doing washing clothes by our hands. Either they have so many cases like mine where it’s normal for them and they are going through piles of investigations (which really shouldn’t be the case since you are paying large sum of the money) or they are blatantly ignoring all the inconveniences that customers go through when a product becomes faulty. I have made an inquiry to ACCC regarding my rights as a consumer and I will be lodging a case to Fair Trading for LG ignoring my rights as a consumer very shortly. I had to call them daily basis to which the person who is responsible for the feedback never talks to me in person and they pass the buck to poor Customer Service representatives who can only deliver unsatisfactory answers to me. The Case Manager lies his way out of the situation such as leaving a note on their system saying he tried to contact me but left a message on my mobile. LG electronics in general may have some good products but be prepared to pull your hair out when you come across a dud.

GREAT washer, super silent, large capacity – We got this from JB HiFi last week for $1100 including delivery and set up. We get 5% off vouchers for JB so in reality it was only $1060ish We got is as a replacement for a terrible BEKO BFL103ADW and the difference is out of sight 1: It is SUPER silent, and i mean that even at 1400 rpm you cannot hear it. I cannot believe how quiet it is … Read more

2: It has a great capacity. I have been able to wash 2 queen size doonas in the same load with no problems at all

3: The smart app, although gimmicky, works well and is sort of fun to use

4: The steam function works so well i have noticed a distinct cleaner look to my clothes

5: When the washing comes out it is almost dry on the 1400 rpm spin

6: There seems to be no water left over in the rubber seals after a wash (well hardly any)

7: It seems almost impossible to make the load uneven, we have mixed things in that in the old BEKO would set off a chain reaction of load noises but this LG seems to handle all we have thrown at it so far without a sound

If it does have a downside it is that it is pretty hard to do short quick washes like in most other machines. The quickest i have managed to get a was down to is about 57 minutes, basically the machine decides when it weighs what you have put in.I would like more control over that and a daily quick option added

There is a quick 14 wash that you can extend to 28 minutes but the spin speed is limited in this mode

If i was LG, i would update the firmware and make some downloadable quick washed that include the higher temperatures and spin speeds. If they did this, the machine would be perfect. If you can put up with slightly longer than other machine was times then this washer comes highly recommended

Having said that, so far we are really impressed with what we have used it for so far

Perfect ... whisper quiet – Love my LG beauty :) Quiet, excellent quality in washing clothes. Number of great well thought out wash cycles, the 30 minute one does lots of things well especially if using a spray of pre-wash stuff to help the deodorant and any grime to shift (this saved tonnes of wash time and saves bucks too :). the eco-cycle take time but this is more than made up for in less water and less power.

Easy to understand controls. I find it whisper quiet, and light years far less noisy than the old F & P top-loader I owned.

Good capacity for me as a single male. Washed by dooner in it on the cycle for blankets and it made short work of it and the pre-wash soak helped make it look almost new.

Clothes come out almost dry too which is wonderful in any climate.

I can use less detergent to which makes my eco-friendly heart shine each time I use it.

A great machine and I wold not hesitate to recommend this brand and model.

Harvey Norman were excellent as usual, installed and set up in-situ for me to use.

Amazing washer! – This washer is good on everything, with so many different settings and manual overrides it is super delicate when it needs to be and washes extremely well too. Cycle times are generally good, would be nice to have an extra setting more in the mid range - 1 to 2 hours but i cant fault it as it has so many good options already.  Show details

Fantastic Washer – I have Owned a 10kg LG front loader for 4 years used on a daily basis. It has a fantastic range of wash options. I often wash large bedspreads and quilts/doonas and it cleans them very well with no trouble. I love the 1400rpm spin speed too. I always make sure i have the machine set to rinse 3 or 4 times depending what i wash to get rid of any detergent.

I purchased extra warranty although haven't needed to use it.

I would purchase another Lg front or top loader in the future

Good washer – This was a replacement for our Samsung which just stopped working after 3 years. We loved the Samsung and they were great in giving us a full refund. So what's great about the LG? and it cleans clothes really well. No lint. Refreshing via the steam function is great and it's an all round very good machine.

What's not so great? It tends to twist my husbands shirts and tangle them into a big knot. Our other LG did the same? The samsung never did it so it seems like an LG feature?

The washing cycles are incredibly long but we only use 2 or 3 of all options available so it's not really an issue.

Overall a great machine. Definitely recommend.

Don't buy this machine – I bought the machine 2 year and a half years ago and it worked well, but after 2 years the machine started to leave dirty marks on my clothes. away a beautiful green Tshirt of mine and other good items of clothing and today I've got a white sheet and doona cover with dirty marks that I can't get off.

Why build a machine that needs the drum to be cleaned every couple of years at a cost of $200, particularly when we paid well over $1000 for the purchase. My AEG lasted 10 years without any issues at all. I'm also very careful about the amount of washing powder I put into the machine.

I would very much like my money back so I can buy a different brand of machine or a replacement.

have ordered a new PCB for a fridge, and that they would be in touch when it is in stock. I was dismissed when asked how they knew what part would be needed without a) having the correct model number or appliance type, and b) without having inspected it. The service agent told me they will not come out to inspect the washing machine without having the part in stock (but they have ordered the part for the wrong appliance..??).

I guess LG aren't particularly concerned about their machines catching on fire and damaging peoples property, like the Samsung ones did a few years back. I haven't been told if my machine is even safe to use in the meantime.

Without these issues, the machine was ok - the clothes occasionally came out a little soapy though.

I would not recommend this unit and I would not purchase another LG washer or dryer.

Wouldn't buy this brand again – I have had this washing machine for a year and a half now and have already had a technician have to repair it. cotton cycle for most washes to get the clothes cleaned and this can take 3 hours+ but the clothes do come out great just frustrating how long it takes.

When we had the issue with the washing machine and rang LG they informed us that if it was not cover by warranty than we would have to pay and this was when the washing machine was 6 months old so you would assume everything should be covered. One day it just started making a loud noise in the cycle which turn out to be a issue with it being unbalance and was covered under the warranty.

As for my parents machine they also had an issue where it was making a noise. When they rang LG they informed the consultant that it was making a terrible noise and the consultant said "why don't you just close the door", they then had to explain that it wasn't a normal noise. It turned out to be an issue with the motor and was lucky to be within the 2 year warranty period.

I don't find it to be particularly quiet and usually have to close the door to block out the sound. I also find that if I as washing quilt covers or sheets it becomes unbalanced nearly every time. There is one cool feature where you can just press the start button and it picks the best cycle for the load but you have to be prepared it may go for 4 hours.

Overall I don't think this washing machine will have a long life but if you can handle the super long cycle it is good at cleaning clothes.

Had it less than a year, Trouble started after a few months of purchase/Terrible response from LG – 2-hour cycle took more than 4 hours. Massive capacity and Energy efficiency – One big reason for buying this is the 10kg capacity and it has a high 4.5 star WELS water rating and a 4.5 star energy for bill savings. Love my lg washing machine – Got this when our old 7kg lg finally died after 9 years (was a cheap machine so happy with that). probably allready close to 20 degrees most of the time). One annoying thing is it won't tell you run time until after a minute of weighing and spinning clothes so makes it hard to find a setting that is short (with so many variations of water temp, spin speeds, wash cycles, rinse cycles). Full load takes just under 2 hours on 20 degree setting and washes everything well. Call different stores before you buy, we found $200 difference in price between different good guys stores (pakenham store always seems cheapest)

Really Good - except for a couple of small things – Just a quick update on my review below. I've had it a year now (it's April 2018) and it still washes clothes very well. go or 13 mins to go and won't move. I'm finding this very frustrating and I've lowered my rating from 4 stars to 3 as a consequence.

Bought the 10kg LG in mid March 2017. We've had it three months to give it a decent run. So far it's been a great improvement on our old F&P Top Loader which we got rid of after eight frustrating years.

The machine is whisper quiet and washes the clothes exceptionally well without damaging them - which at the end of the day is what is most important to me.

The only downside - coming from a top loader - is the length of time for washes - 90 mins for cotton wash - 75 mins for mix and sports - 3+hrs for allergy care, and the fact that once it has locked and started, you can't add anything to the wash - even if you turn the power off.

It's so quiet - the noisiest part of the wash is the water inlet, which is pretty loud.

The 10kg is a big improvement on what we had, so we do less frequent washes, and according to the manual it is pretty good on energy and water consumption.

On balance, I'm very happy and would happily recommend it.

Disappointing and frustrating – This is a terrible machine. It is advertised as a 10 kg washer but it does not handle the loads that I used to do in the LG 7kg washer. that I am not overloading this machine. My 7 kg LG used to wash the same load effortlessly. When I wash other loads, the machine just takes forever - when it says that there are 48 mins left it is not the case - sometimes it can go for another hour. Previous machine had accurate timing. I do not think that this machine needs a service - I just think it is poor quality and I am so disappointed with its performance, I will never buy an LG again.

Whilst the controls are simple and the cycles are easy to select, the machine is extremely noisy compared to the previous 10 year old Miele we had, and the cycle times are ridiculously long (3 hours for a standard cotton cycle). We had never had problems with 'fluff' on clothes after them being washed with our previous unit, and immediately we now experience fluff on darker clothes after they have been washed.
