NEVER AGAIN! – I will never buy a LG 9kg top loader washing machine again. SMART DRUM WT-H9506. Does not fill properly, makes noises, But worst of all puts brown marks all over my clothes. I keep this machine spotless, clean the drum, but my clothes come out covered in little brown spots, I'd like to put an axe through it. Going to buy a Bosch, the best. Don't buy a LG top loader, it will give you nothing but grief!

tangled together which makes hanging out clothes take twice as long. Clothes - despite coming out dirty - have been ruined in this machine - frayed edges, unraveling, holes - so not only cost us $899 but also money in clothes. Thought I was maybe doing something wrong but thought also the machine might be faulty! After numerous calls to service Man - at LGS expense he agreed to look at the machine - service, test etc. just to be sure. NOPE machine is FINE. :( Working how it is supposed to. :O Suggestions were to increase the water level (already doing it) and drop down the spin speed (already doing that too) So if you want clothes to be dirty, ruined and needing to ironed for half an hour to be presentable then THIS is the machine for you. Waste of money.

Terriable would never biy it again – Tangles clothes forever trying to untangle washing, turn it off more times than not you turn it off and it won't turn back on. Disaponted – Have been so happy with my last LG machine so bought this one. Very disappointed. The amount of lint on the clothes is incredible. The clothes come out in a tangled mess. It has a quick wash but can only done on about 1/4 wash. I soak my whites in napisan and they come out with black bits all over them. Would never recommend this machine.  Show details

Doesn't clean clothes! – Looks good but just does not clean clothes. Service Call Response – Machine was brought new April-16. Machine washes clothes okay but my problem is about the service call. The service dept are terrible worst ever. When the technician arrived he found that the mouse chewed the wires. Technician told me that he was ordering a part. Few days had past and I received no phone calls. They kept telling me waiting on Technician but the actual fact because not under warranty they Cancelled the job instead. Nobody offered to help. Three weeks passed I had to find my own technician which I was told I need a whole wiring harness and by end of charge would cost $597. More or less buy another Machine. The wires under the board just need to be welded together.

I have been using my friend washing machine, best ever (Fisher & Pykal Aquasmart top loader. Value for money.)

A waste of almost $1000 – I bought my 9.5kg LG Direct Drive washing machine less than a year ago. It's by far the worst washing machine I've ever used in my 70 years. Nothing comes out clean. The filters are useless even though I clean them every wash..................they are impossible to get spotlessly clean no matter what I do. My washing has little spots of grime all over it. Worst machine ever do not buy – Destroys clothes, shreads them. Leaves clumps of lint all over everything, does not even clean the clothes or rinse them properly. Clothes come out in some cases dirtier than they went in. Also uses vastly more water than is claimed. Customer service woeful. Has cost me a fortune in detergent and lint rollers. Should have read the users' reviews before purchaching it – I regret purchasing this machine without reading other users' review. Apart from common problems: clothes tangle, water level not automatically sensor, I found fleece also build up on clothes after wash. I separate the fluffy fabrics from plain clothes and use pre dissolve detergent but the problem is still there, it just help to minimise the fleecy look.

terrible washing machine – not at all good yes it does wear the cloths out , it seems to not spin right it sounds like it is out of balance, zero it is the worst washing machine i have ever owned. It even sucks the bra wires out and under the tub .Hence have to pay to get someone to get it out.

Very tangled clothes, and water level sensor useless – Trouble right from the start. LG Customer service were no help. They sent an independent service man who said water sensor won't ever work. Extremely Disappointed – Dark clothes come out with residue powder despite using a liquid and cleaning filters after each load. Lights come out with dark spots despite cleaning bowl. Filters are way too small and few for this size machine. Clothes are tangled and creased. Would love a refund and this is a dud.

Don't ever buy LG. Warranty worthless - you can't reach them! – For 3 weeks we have been trying to get a response from our emails & photos of torn washing sent to LG. perfectly cut circle. We now have 13 articles destroyed.The suction and movement of water is so strong & fierce it appears to be dragging the clothing down into the holes and tearing it as the washing moves. This would appear to be a design fault. I'm 68 and I've had a lot of experience with washing and never had problems before. We always sort our clothes, pull pockets inside out to check for small items and close fasteners.

LG does not honour its warranty as they are unreachable! This is a necessary product we use in our home, not an unnecessary item like a TV.

LG has no morals, no care or concern, no service and they hope you go away or your warranty expires or in the meantime you expire!! I have now put it in the hands of Fair Trading(NSW). To those looking to buy a washing machine, don't buy lg. You will regret it when you have a problem!

Hooray! After 5 weeks & the input of Fair Trading and this Website, we've had the cost of our faulty machine refunded.But it was a battle & LG at first didn't want to admit fault despite the technician's report. LG told me that the low water level (which is set by the machine programme anyway) could be contributing to it,(our clothes being torn & sliced) Rubbish! We always select a higher water level because companies set the minimum level(regardless of washing quality) to qualify for the higher star rating for water consumption.The serviceman told me that he had never before seen a washing machine drum with an inside raised seam that the clothes would be washed against. Although this join seemed have no sharp edges, it was raised and scalloped. Eventually LG admitted the machine was unrepairable and would authorize a store credit.Whilst looking around for a replacement (at many stores), a sales rep mentioned that some machines have larger holes in the drum and fabric can get sucked into them as water is being extracted.The other side of these holes are rough.That seems consistent with my cut & torn clothes. I still won't ever buy another LG product...their service centre is offshore and their process is substandard. Thank goodness Australia has consumer protection laws! worst machine ! – thank God! I thought it was just me. I purchased this machine June 2015. This is the most idiotic machine I have ever purchased!!! the clothes get tangled up, it goes out of balance with more than two towels, the hidden filter down the bottom at the back is really the stupidest idea anyone could have come up with !!!

Useless!!! Do not buy one – Wish I had looked at the reviews. Wanted a no agitator machine and thought this would be a good brand. The water sensors in ALL the washes do not leave enough water for a good clean wash or rinse. Clothing is wet but high and dry during wash and rinse, I have to set the water levels at each wash and rinse or my wash is covered with lint and scum. Not Happy! Wish I had bought a Fisher and Paykel again.

Worst Washing Machine Ever – This washing machine does not clean clothes. After washing, clothes does not smell or look clean with lint all over clothes. Clothes are tangled and if washing a large load or quilt it will go to a side when spinning. It will beep then refills the water for rinsing the clothes again. This washing machine does not do what it meant to do.

Not overly impressed – Upgraded from my Simpson 9.5kg which was still running at 9 years old. this was the only machine available on the day with a big capacity. Had the machine for 4 months had a few over balances even though the machine wasn't full or uneven and then I had a blockage warning- turned out to be the pump, which had stopped. Waiting on the machine to be replaced through the store which we purchased the machine.

Thought that I liked this machine!!!!! – I brought my LG machine in Feb 2014 and liked how my clothes were being washed but after 6 months the pump stopped working, although was been repaired under warranty very inconvenient without a machine for a week. Was told by repairer that they have seen quit a few LG machines with the same problem. How it washed clothes pump had to be replaced after 6 months
