Terrible terrible machine! I can’t reach the clothes for starters the drum is so deep, I should have checked before I purchased it. Didn’t think that a big brand like LG would be so ergonomically challenged. It can not wash more than 2 towels and a sheet on the biggest load! I got a big machine because I need it. Error codes daily, when it’s out… Read more
of balance it continues to go through the rinse cycle like it will do it all day if your not home, wasting so much water. Do not buy this machine. My Electrolux 7kg front loader ran rings around this hunk of junk. LG should be recalling them and reimbursing people who bought them. Unfortunately I will never buy anything LG again.
Very disappointed with this machine I’ve had it for a few years now just waiting for it to die so I can justify spending the money on a new one. The water auto sensor doesn’t work You have to manually set each load because it doesn’t use hardly any water or way too much, the sensor for overbalancing doesn’t work instead of stopping it will… Read more
continue to keep going and walk itself across the floor. It twists up clothes and sheets and wash quality is not great lots of lint. There is no lint filter that you can remove lint. It’s underneath the machine and you have to tip it up and do major Work to do any lint removal. I had the earlier model of this type of machine and was so happy with it. It lasted 12 years and the only reason we got rid of it was because we had a mouse get into the electrics. I thought it was a safe bet to buy another one, big mistake. Had a technician out under warranty. The technician agreed with me that the auto-sensing didn’t work when he submitted this to LG they denied it and wouldn't do anything about it under warranty. Went through Harvey Norman they tried very hard to help us with it but got no cooperation from LG .So much time wasted with their warranty team arguing the point showing them pictures and videos we just gave up. The wash times are incredibly long for a top loader. You cannot just do a rinse only, you have to go through a whole program, when you lean over it to adjust the wash you wipe out the program that was on and you have to start all over again, poorly designed and not a very good recommendation LG considering all the other products I’ve had of theirs have been great.
Puts mould all over washing, 7 months old. Was told by LG i need to do a tub clean every 2 to 3 weeks. 9 hour tub cleaning lol VOIDED WARRANTY. Told me I have neglected the machine. They said that the fabric softener builds up with the washing liquid. I told her I use vinegar as fabric softener she said the acid in the vinegar would have the same effect lol. Show details

Good Washing Machine – I bought the LG 10kg Washer Top Load to get a slightly larger machine that could handle king size bedding and blankets. While it cleans well and I'm very happy with the size,I find it's auto settings not up to scratch. I've given up using them and simply use it manually now. That saves me going back to add more water. It's the first machine I've… Read more
owned that has the control panel at the front, if you have to adjust the load you need to stand at the side of the machine or you'll be inadvertently pushing buttons. It really is a huge machine but it's very deep, I'm 5 foot 8 and even I find it a little difficult to reach the bottom. But it does fit everything in that I wanted to. It has a remote thinkQ to wirelessly start the washer. I've no need for this feature so haven't tried it. As with LG products it's solidly built and looks stylish, it should last for years. It has a soft close lid which I love. The water and detergent dispenser work well and spread it evenly into the machine. And a 4 star energy rating is wonderful. 7/10 from me for this washer.
Good and bad – The good news is the drum is the same size as the 14kg model meaning you can fit a heap in a single load. Bad news is the water levels (and in particular the fuzzy logic water level sensing) are ridiculous. I manually set the water level every wash as the fuzzy logic hopelessly underestimates the required water. But even when manually selecting… Read more
the levels they make no sense. Level 7 of 10 is closer to 85% of the height of the bowl and at the other end anything under level 4 is unusable...heres a photo of the amount of water on level 3 which doesn't even cover the agitator...level 1 is barely enough for a teabag!
Terrible machine I wish I had never purchased it – The worst washing machine I have ever owned. I had a Speed Queen as my previous machine which was good until it sprung a leak and many years ago I had a Whirlpool for about 20 years which was the best machine ever. This LG WTG1034WF is terrible. Like other people on the Product Review I am very disappointed with it. It was very expensive and not… Read more
worth the money. It only has the capacity to clean lightly marked or stained clothes. Anyone with really dirty work clothes would never get them clean. Because there is no central agitator the clothes bunch up on one side, so during the spin cycle it throws the machine off balance and it jumps out from its position against the wall. It doesn't matter how the clothes or sheets are distributed in the first place. Without the central agitator there is nothing to stop the clothes from ending up on one side of the tub. It is supposed to be more gentle on the clothes with no agitator, but all it does is swirl them around and therefore they don't get cleaned properly. The cycles are ridiculous. There is no option to set a particular cycle that you use frequently. So every wash you must go through a list of choices to do every load of wash. 10 Water Levels, 10 Wash Times, 5 Rinse options, 4 spin cycle option. There are 9 Wash Options: Cotton Wash, Extra Rinse, Quick Wash, Eco Cotton, Delicates, Pre Wash Cotton, Duvet, Sports Wear, Tub Clean, and Download Cycle which allows to to download a cycle from LG ThinQ. There is no option for Rinse Only and no option for Spin Only. I don't understand with all the electronics in this machine why there is no Save settings or Rinse and Spin Only options. The water levels are in small increments. There are 10 water levels that need to be adjusted for each load of wash, but the difference between level 4 and level 5 is significant. 4 being very low and 5 being nearly the middle of the tub. I had to put a load of wash on pause while I went out, but when I came back the machine had shut itself off, so when I restarted it, it went through the whole wash cycle again! No option to restart where it had left off! Generally this is the worst machine I have ever owned and I will be replacing it as soon as I can afford to do so. So, my advice is don't buy one.

This LG Has No FEAR – It has been used every day for 3 years + This washing machine is nothing short of the "God of War" in the realm of laundry appliances. grime. With each revolution, it unleashes a torrent of cleaning prowess that rivals the mightiest of warriors. Stains tremble in its presence as it effortlessly obliterates them with the precision of a battle-hardened warrior.
But it's not just about brute force – this machine possesses a strategic intelligence akin to the gods themselves. With a plethora of wash settings and options, it tailors its approach to suit the unique demands of every garment, ensuring that each item emerges victorious and unscathed from the cleansing battlefield.
Much like the divine beings of legend, this washing machine commands respect and awe with its awe-inspiring presence. Its sleek and imposing design dominates the laundry room, exuding an aura of majesty and authority.
In conclusion, this washing machine is a true titan among appliances, embodying the ferocity and prowess of the mythical God of War. If you seek a laundry companion that will vanquish stains with unmatched might and precision, look no further – for "i" have found my champion.
A very good washing machine – It has about every cycle that you can think off, from sports wear/heavy duty all the way to light duty (hand wash) the only thing that we don,t like is the depth of the inside of the washing machine. from the top to the bottom, it is 600 mm (60 cm) or 24 inchers, to reach for your clothes, just set and forget, it is as easy as that. And it locks the lid (child proof) when it starts. L.G WTG1034WF
Good machine so far – Purchased this machine after our Beko front loader died (i do not recommend that brand at all). The drum is massive and would be hard for a shorter person to get clothes from… Read more · 1
the bottom of it, i am 5'7. The machine is quite noisy i think but as it is downstairs this isn't a major issue for us. It seems to give a good clean and i am loving it so far. I did read people had issues with lint but so far we haven't. My sister has an LG front loader and has had it for over 10 years and it still works fine so am hopeful we will get at least that long from this as i have found the brand to be very reliable.

Terrible washing machine! – I would give zero stars if I could. We purchased the first of these machines back in 2022 from Harvey Norman. The first made a lot of noise the first time we used it. We were told at first that that was normal but having had LG machines in the past we knew it was not normal. We then had to have a technician come out to evaluate who confirmed that… Read more
there was a fault with these machines! We were then offered a replacement by Harvey Norman of the same machine. The second machine has had noise issues, doesn't fill with water properly, has problems on the spin cycle, doesn't balance properly with a heavy load and has had circuit issues. My partner has had to do repairs himself a few times and we have had to buy parts to make repairs already to a machine less than two years old. Stay away from this machine!
Absolute garbage. I will never buy an LG product again – After a year of owning this machine I have decided to buy a new Fisher & Pykel. I wish I read all these reviews before buying the LG. This is by far the worst washing machine I’ve ever owned. The machine walks around my laundry while spinning, at least until the hoses reach their limit. If it doesn’t go for a walk, it will stop spinning and show… Read more
an error. Constantly have to re-arrange clothes to try and get it to spin. Constantly banging. You cannot leave this machine to complete a wash cycle on its own. Never finishes without some kind of error and needing a reset. Whether it’s a spin error or water level error. Anyone under 6 feet tall can’t reach the bottom of the tub. I wont bother with a technician. It will just be all lies anyway. I will cut my losses with this piece of rubbish and never touch an LG product of any kind again.
DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE – I should have looked at reviews before purchasing this machine. The water doesn't fill to the correct level, thus prompting the E1 error. Doesn't balance large loads properly and walks away while still continuing to spin. Clothes are still dirty and I find there is laundry powder still left on clothes. Struggles blankets and will come up with E1… Read more
error. Washing times are too long, thus you have to manually put in a shorter cycle. When taking out clothes or adjusting the unbalanced load, you have to lean over the touch panel ( because of deep washing barrel) and you will rest or turn it off with your torso or breasts. I did realise that the barrel is really deep and smaller people like myself need a step to reach into the bottom of the barrel, that I can compromise on. What a waste of money and time, I am really disappointed that a long standing company can produce such a crappy piece of machinery, especially when you are a leader in such technologies. Well not any more I guess. These machines need to be recalled and replaced.

Worst machine ever, will never buy LG again! – Gees where do I start? It has taken me a year to get to the point of writing a bad review, the issues ket mounting up. Now I’m laughing (crying) reading everyone else’s they have all the same problems! Glad it is not just me! Clothes don’t wash properly, started using fabric softener to make them smell better and half the time the dispensor fills… Read more
with water after a wash so the fabric softener drains into the tub. If you are short you need to dive in to get clothes out or use tongs! Leaning over the front of the machine your chest will change the settings, I even child locked it with my breasts once! Cannot do a load of towels without becoming unbalanced and walking halfway across the laundry. Or it fills with water again to try and rebalance only to not succeed and repeat. Honestly the water this thing wastes! You have to turn water off at tap to do a spin only. Takes forever to fill! Auto water level is useless, always under guesses and tries to wash your clothes in no water. Because I now have to use fabric softener when I never have in my life, machine is getting dirty under lid and around drum. I cannot clean the surrounds properly. What a piece of junk, can’t wait to buy a new one. I’ll just write off the $1000 I paid for it. Only purchased it because the Fisher and Paykel I wanted was going to take 2 months to come in. I should have waited.
Don’t Buy It!!!! – Purchased this one month ago for elderly lady. Has not worked properly stops mid cycle at times. Have to re-set it. Clothes come out dirty still doesn’t clean them. Terrible Performance & Annoying Features. Avoid the LG 10kg Top Load Washer WTG1034WF! – I am utterly disappointed with the LG 10kg Top Load Washer WTG1034WF and cannot recommend it to anyone. This washer has caused me nothing but frustration and inconvenience since I purchased it. Here are the numerous problems I have encountered: First and foremost, using the highest "ultra" spin cycle on this machine has resulted in black streaks… Read more
and stains on my clothes and sheets which do not come out and look suspiciously like grease. LG support tried to convince me it was due to mould or mildew, or residue from using fabric softener. However, I do not use fabric softener and have checked all the hoses, seals and connections and found no trace of mould or mildew. I've also run several tub clean cycles with vinegar and commercial washing machine cleaner and it made no difference.
After researching online, I discovered that this issue can be due to leaking transmission oil or a faulty gasket, which seems to be a common problem with LG top loaders according to various forums. As the machine is less than 12 months old and still under warranty, this should surely be worthy of a technician visit, but I am still awaiting a response from LG in regards to booking an appointment.
Furthermore, even on half loads or when washing a single blanket, the washer constantly unbalances itself. This leads to loud banging noises during the spin cycle, and I've come home on several occasions to find the washer has "walked" itself halfway across the laundry to the full length of the power cord. It's ridiculous that such a large capacity washer struggles to handle even smaller loads without becoming unbalanced.
To make matters worse, the washer has an annoying feature where it automatically fills up with water again in an attempt to rebalance itself. However, this never seems to work and only ends up wasting water. What's even more frustrating is that there seems to be no option to turn off this feature. It's a complete waste and further contributes to the already high water consumption of this machine.
On top of these major issues, one more niggling problem I have is with the lid locking mechanism. Every time I want to quickly throw something into the washer, I have to wait an indefinite amount of time (sometimes 5 seconds, sometimes up to a minute) for the lid to unlock. It may not sound like a big deal, but it adds unnecessary frustration and delays to a simple task.
I had previously owned another LG top loader that worked flawlessly without any issues. When it came time to replace it, I assumed that ordering the LG 10kg Top Load Washer WTG1034WF, which I believed to be the same model, would guarantee a similar positive experience. However, upon its arrival, it became clear that this new machine was not the same. It had different washing programs, buttons, and features. What's more, the older model did not have the annoying lid locking and "rebalancing" features that is present in my current washer. With the older machine, I could conveniently keep the lid open while it was filling up, which was both time-saving and convenient. It also rarely ever unbalanced, even on larger loads. It's incredibly disappointing to discover that the newer model not only lacks the features I appreciated but also introduces new problems that I never encountered before.
In addition to the laundry list of issues with the LG 10kg Top Load Washer WTG1034WF, the customer support provided by LG has been absolutely abysmal. I have made multiple attempts to reach out to them for assistance, but it feels like my concerns have fallen on deaf ears. I have called and spoken to four different representatives, tried the online chat (which was abruptly closed mid-conversation after waiting for over 20 minutes for a response), and received an email that was nothing more than a generic list of troubleshooting steps that I had already exhausted prior to contacting them.
I am still awaiting a response regarding a technician visit to assess and potentially repair the machine, but I am not holding my breath for any meaningful resolution. I am close to the end of my 12 month warranty period so I feel they are just stalling now.
Overall, the LG 10kg Top Load Washer WTG1034WF has been an expensive disappointment. From greasy black streaks to constant unbalancing, wasted water due to ineffective rebalancing attempts, and a bothersome lid locking mechanism, this washer has proven to be a nightmare to use. LG's customer support has also been a major letdown and has only added to my dissatisfaction with this washer. Save yourself the trouble and explore other options that offer better performance and more user-friendly features.
Very disappointed – After owning fisher and paykel washers for years with zero issues we decided to upgrade to LG. Big mistake. This machine does not have auto sensor water filling?!?! You have to basically guess and hope for the best. The cycle length is ridiculous. Over an hour for a few items?? The depth of the drum is not user friendly at all!! Worst LG machine ever – My previous 10kg lg washer was awesome, loved how you could soak items, there's no cycle for soaking, each cycle literally takes hours and the machine is not full of water, it will say 10 mins to go but its more like 45mins!! the bowl is so deep compared to my last washer, I have to stand on the side of the machine and stand on my tippy toes to… Read more

up with water, so we have to use a hose to manually fill it. It doesn't wash your clothes clean and the cycles are way too long. The bowl is so deep that it's very difficult to reach to the bottom of the bowl to get the clothes out, and we are tallish people. You have to lean to the side of the machine and not the front, so you don't accidentally touch the front panel and set off all the buttons. Now the touch pad screen isn't working at all, we can't turn the machine on, zilch, nothing!! Dead as a dodo.
We rang Harvey Norman and they said they will send out a technician, we are still waiting and with only days left to Christmas and all our family coming to visit we have to now borrow a washing machine from our son! Who said, I told you to buy the Fisher and Paykel machine mum ....sometimes we need to listen to our kids more! We paid $1200 for this piece of junk, I won't be giving up until Harvey Norman fix it or give us our money back. LG what were you thinking when you made this machine, you need to remove this piece of junk from the market and go back to the drawing board so you're not inconveniencing so many people, do the right thing by us good people.
Stay clear – This washer is the worst I have ever owned. Continuously knocks and bangs with a light load and is a total reject. LG tech was sent and he advised not to wash any towels. The machine is always out of balance even after rearranging the washing. I had a previous LG 10kg and it did not miss a beat. Totally frustrated with this piece of junk. Show details
$1000's DOWN THE DRAIN – We bought the LG Washing Machine in 2019, as our old Hoover Washing machine had broken down after 16 years of service. (just 2 years and 5 months on) the START button stopped working. I got our Service Guy to come in and take a look, he said it was the electronics and so he ordered the part (or so he thought) and when he installed it, the part was faulty. It had taken two weeks to come in and now we were in for another wait. So I emailed LG Customer Care and they wanted an assessment done on it; our Service Guy did it, but then LG said they wanted one of their people to do it; so we had to organise for one of their people to come in and the technician said the same thing. Once he brought the parts (he had two, stating that they have parts similar to another model and he wasn't sure which one would work); it didn't matter because both parts didn't work. However, he made some adjustments with the buttons on our original part (allowing for the START button to work, but not the Time Delay) and we were somewhat happier, as we had a machine we could use.
Now, five months later, we're back to where we were: a machine with a START button that doesn't work - so that's a $1052 almost 3 year old machine, sitting in our laundry, while we have to use a laundromat to wash our clothes. Upon contacting LG Customer Care, they have done very little to attempt to remedy the situation other than making sure that they know that I am inconvenienced and they are sorry.
The machine has a 10 year warranty on the motor - what good is a running motor if the rest of the machine won't work? We've gone from a machine that lasted 16 years to one that couldn't even get to 3 years - talk about your throw-away society! We're very disappointed and will not buy LG again.

BUYER BEWARE - LG1034WF 10kg Washer – I love LG products; in fact I recommend them to my friends, and I have a number of them in my home. Last week (24/08/2022), I took delivery of a 10kg Top Loader (LG1034WF) to replace a 12 year old LG Front Loader that was still working beautifully. grunt, and the ability to add clothes through the wash cycle, if need be. I noticed that the outlet hose was a larger diameter than regular outlet hoses so it cannot be attached directly to the u-pipe under the laundry unit. Problem number one. The next morning came a 'test load' of laundry. The outlet hose was placed 100mm (4") down into the bypass on the stainless trough. The wash cycle finished and the machine began to drain. To my absolute horror, water was spewing back up the bypass, and running onto my floor! Problem number 2. I quickly paused the machine, and placed the outlet hose directly into the laundry unit (45 litre trough). The laundry unit quickly filled, and when the water came to within 25mm of the top of the trough, once again I paused the machine! Problem number 3. How could I possibly leave this machine to wash unattended? LG are willing to send out a technician, but I'm sorry, that's not good enough! There are clearly issues with the pump/outlet, and the flow pressure, and I'm not willing to be further inconvenienced. There are too many risks already; I've only completed 2 loads of washing, and had to be in the laundry on both occasions. Please just take it away! NB: There are no blockages in the drainage system. I checked that as my first troubleshooting option. It is modern PVC piping that exits directly through the adjoining wall into the wastewater system. Never had an issue like this before!
