Beware of lg "Washer" don’t throw away hard-earned money on a nightmare that sings – LG “WASHER” nothing but a nightmare, no responsibility for faulty piece of rubbish! the 45+ about 20 years before it. Each which were STILL working fine when gave them away (because of moving). I had a family of at least four in with those two and NEVER a single problem.. In went detergent turn a knob/push a button or two and out cam clean fresh clothes. From the beginning I LOATHED how this one told me how much water i should use!! And there is no way to override it. The only way I could get it to give me the amount of water I NEEDED (and I know how to conserve water better than ANYONE ever met) was for me to have to stand there and WAIT TI it supposedly did its little dance and decided what I was to use and only THEN can I reset it, not that it makes any difference it still doesn’t do ANYTHING. The girl at Good Guys Alexandria told me I could preset it to level I desired not so not so not so. I have to stand there and wait and still it does worse job than if I just spat on the clothes and rubbed them once or twice. That is exactly how my clothes and linen are now and ZERO BACK UP rather than being made to feel like I don’t know what Im talking about by two people. I am about to throw it away after less than three years and long for my old 22 year old washer back that had no problems even after being moved three times. Even with the loads lighter and not as soiled as with a family of four, NEVER HAS cleaned the clothes they come out stinking like dirty sponges as would expect (not even that dirty) clothes would if just been soaking in its own filth. I have tried everything and every way to set the thing properly. Of course despite my telling the company they just deny deny deny that there is anything wrong as if somehow I am doing something wrong. One person came out when first bought it so be on the record but he didn’t want to know it was my own fault, he was arrogant and would not listen that the thing was not performing at all. That was also with another issue The only thing that works on it is the little jingle it plays at the end of the NOTHING cycle. This has been nothing but waste of time and hard-earned money with zero recompense but attitude from LG I must say I was warned about this company. Next time listen.. SO I have to go to neighbours. I have always had to do two rounds even after two rounds and even after two they smell questionable at the least!!!!! I never have had clean sheets and just have felt stinky when had to use this. Now I have to pay someone to take it away and pay money for another one because lg are a thieving company that deny any responsibility for faulty “appliances.”

a top-loader years ago and it was a solid workhorse, but saw that recently they haven't been as reliable. LG has great reviews and this model has not disappointed.

Others have said the lint filters are hard to clean, but without reading the manual it took me less than a minute to work it out and clean both of them. Subsequent cleans take around 30s, not hard at all. We only wish that other companies would employ F&P's (probably patented) automatic lint filter cleaning so we didn't have to clean one at all.

Pros: - Huge capacity, but the machine itself isn't too large - See-through soft close lid - Great performance, lots of options - Plays music at the end :)

Cons: - One minor annoyance: Our laundry gets full sun in the morning and the LED indicators are hard to read

The unit is beautiful and quiet and has a sweet little tune when it's finished instead of an annoying loud beep.

There are two internal lint filters which need to be removed and emptied every wash, my old machine never had lint filters and I found they make a HUGE difference! I have three cats so would always have to shake washing before and after hanging them dry, but now there is basically no hair on my clothes with the new lint filters. They're super easy to remove and empty so it's not a big hassle each wash.

I would definitely recommend this product for people willing to spend a little more for a large capacity machine, good array of functions, quiet unit with great washing quality including removal of hair/lint.

Still going strong 5 years down the track – We have had our LG machine for over 5 years and washed all sorts of things from dog beds to oily clothing and we have never had any issues with it. I love how you can change how long you want the cycle to go for and I love that it has never destroyed any clothing unlike previous machines. Show details

Wife absolutely loves it – We tend to wash absolutely everything in it. It gets used probably everyday if it is sunny. The air dry function is a cool idea however does not work well. Love that it is a top loader as often I forget to throw a item of clothing in so I can quickly toss it in. Great product Show details

LG's rigid settings – Disappointed at its rigid settings. Wool washes cannot be changed from warm - I always use cold for woollies. Also I have washing on the line that is wet from the rain - I can't put it in the washing and just spin it. It has to either dry on the line or go through the washing cycle again. Show details

purchase that the motor had a 10 year warranty. It appears the spline has become separated from the Motor. Happy to say a call to LG had a Technician out in 3 days and it was repaired under the Motor Warranty.
