LG WTG9020V Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 16134 and WTG9020VUsed machine once so far worst machine ever it doesn't spin all the water out properly ...luckily we still have our maytag and the spin dry still works, so I had to set it all up just to respin the clothes to get all the water out...omg and choice recommends this machine, all I can say is they are being paid by LG to recommend it...
Another problem .what if the power goes out does this mean the clothes are locked in the machine until power comes back on...that's a major problem, is there any way to unlock it when this happens...

Can you add additional clothes to the machine after you have started it?
NO
Yes you can. Simply press pause and open the lid then press the pause/start button again. You can add hot water in a bucket this way too.
Question for LG reps - "What is the RPM spin speed of this LG 9kg top loader please?" I've read reviews here & elsewhere commenting on inadequate spin cycle.
Max Spin Speed 740 rpm
It's awful first time used it and it doesn't get enough water out ...I had to set up our maytag machine luckily the spin dry still works to get the excess water out...this is a major problem...especially in winter we'll never get our clothes dry...
You say Max speed is 740 and after my searching a good machine would be 1200-1400 rpm no wonder things come out wetter than they should.this is a major problem...it truly is a piece of junk.. Other than spending a small fortune on a maytag or speed queen what can any one recommend these days....
The LG 9kg top loader typically offers a maximum spin speed of 700–800 RPM, depending on the exact model. While top loaders generally have lower RPM compared to front loaders (which often reach 1200–1400 RPM), LG designs their top loaders to balance fabric care with efficient water extraction.
If you’re concerned about spin performance, it’s worth checking specific model details and user feedback. You can find verified specs and customer reviews on nationalproductreview.com.au/catalogue/laundry/washing-machines/front-load-washing-machines/tcl-10kg-front-load-washing-machine--WF10P11W-review washing machine catalogue , which gives a good idea of how different models perform in real-world use.
Does or has anyone had trouble with the machine stopping prematurely on the quick wash when the rinse or other setting is altered?
NO
Yes and it empties and fills at exactly the same time. The only way you know this is because I bought an extension washing machine hose at Bunnings as the water empties into the shower as I'm in an apartment (with no separate laundry room). This means the machine pauses and constantly fills up as the sensor has detected there is not enough water to wash the clothes. I've had my machine about a year now and this happened from Day 1.
Does anyone have issues with the machine stopping prematurely on the quick wash where the rinse or other settings are changed. We have had two new machines that do this with lg techs unable to sort it so far. If we can't get that sorted we will take the machine back and change it for a Westinghouse or other brand.
I just bought this machine and had it installed by the company I bought from. It has a round piece of what looks like polystyrene underneath the machine which the installer says is supposed to be on there. I had them come back and look at it and I rang lg but the woman on the phone couldn't tell me if it was part of the machine or the packing and was useless. The installation manual says packing should be removed with the tray. Can anyone answer if they have this under their machine as I'm now confused.
I’ll check now
Not that I can see…. Is it visible? I’ve literally gotten down on my hands and knees with a torch to find this LOL sooo nope can’t see it
Thanks for looking. I think I need to get onto LG again to figure this out.
can you use a bottle of washing machine cleaner in it when doing a tub clean
I don’t use anything when doing a tub clean when I use the washing machine cleaner I do it as directed on the pack, the tub clean is about a 2hr process and it’s all done using cold water I’m not sure if the washing machine cleaner you’re using needs hot water? Some do
I'm considering buying this machine so that I can wash King Sized quilts (probably only about 4 times per year). Most of the time I only need the capacity of a 5 to 6kg machine. Are the lower water levels low enough to make this size machine economical enough to use for regular small loads?
Yes!! It’s a fabulous machine you’ll really love it
Thank you. Do you have any idea how much water the lowest level uses?
No sorry I don’t but it’s really not that much it’s very low
Also when you put clothes in the machine it will measure the water level it needs according to the clothes you have in there once it’s gauged how much water it needs you can pause the machine and either make the water lower or higher
Thank you
NO
