Fantastic Experience – We have built several houses for both personal and investment purposes using many different builders. Our experience with Summit has been exceptional. We initially met with the sales consultant who gave us a design that met all our requirements. He and his wife then accompanied us to various showrooms for the entire selection process before and during the pre-start process. The house was built within the agreed time frame but the true reflection of their service became evident after handover and full payment was made. Soon after moving in the house, we noticed a leak in the roof. We texted the supervisor at 10.00pm at night and the service people were on our doorstep at 6.00am the next morning! We then experienced a much more serious problem whereby we could not use the third garage as all our cars were touching the floor due to the slope of the block. The solution was quite complex and the garage concrete slab was removed a new one poured at an angle. The brick paving was also redone and a new garage door ordered. We were given a resolution. Problems can occur in any building project but the level of service that we have received is absolutely awesome. I would definitely use Summit Homes again!

Terrible – We really loved the look and feel of all of their display homes. We had a custom plan which we intended to get Lifestyle to build. So we made an appointment with one of their in house rep. When we met with the rep, all he did was criticised our plans and made offensive comments such as 'why would you want to this', 'who would do that'. Then he said he will look at the plans 'when he can find spare time' as they only build one off homes designed by their team. If Lifestyle do not do custom homes, then all the rep had to do was say so rather than waste our time and making negative comments. The 40 minutes we spent with him was a complete waste of time not to mention all the anger they caused us. It was a shame, we would have liked going with them if their sales rep wasn't such a big jerk. Design and finish of all their home displays. They also have high specs. Extremely rude and offensive sales consultant

Time waster – We have decided to build for the 3rd time and after months of looking at display homes we fell in love with this home. We were deciding if we were going to build single or double storey. Dealt with a 'Senior sales rep'who took weeks to even respond to our inquiry if the home we want can be changed to a double storey. After weeks of emails we finally managed to get the communication going again. The sales rep kept asking us to get the block. As we have built in the past and had previously bought a block we wanted to first choose a house. This was not acceptable by the rep and kept asking us to get a block and then he will work with us.

We were told that Lifestryle are a boutique builder who deals with customers that are certain they will build with them. This guy wasn't even wiling to provide a sketch for us with the changes made, he wasn;t going to give us an estimate of costs with the changes and estimated that a single storey home costing $370K as display was going to cost $490K as double storey with only a theater and an open study located upstairs.

A total rip off company and well too overpriced.How were we meant to make a decision to build with Lifestyle of not if he was not willing to give us a sketch or idea of costs? How can we commit to you? We understand that having the block makes it easier but surely you could have recommended a block based on the dimentions of the home knowing we were looking at at least 20 blocks and it all came down to the cost of the home.

Wake up Lifestyle, we live in a competitive world and you are not the best builder. Glad we didn't take it further. Excellent display homes Sales rep assumed we are customers who were going to waste his time. If anyone's time was wasted was ours.

Excellent – Just in final stages of deciding who to build with. Giving us a great overall vibe. Very tempted to select them as our builder. Unfortunately we can't get a floorplan out of our head by another builder, otherwise there would be no contest from the other builders we have looked at in our price range. Still quite tempted though!! Love the floorplan (of a particular home), quality of build and finishes in the homes. Sales consultant extremely helpful. He tried to accommodate everything we wanted even did so giving us a couple of options/plans to think about. Outlined all other costs to consider/factor in to our So far nothing. Maybe that sales consultant went into too much detail, explaining the why's for everything (could be considered a good thing too).

Good – We are only at earthworks stage now and I do feel Lifestyle have done everything in their power to get my build going. So far I like my client liaison contact and I also like my site supervisor. I can update my review once I have a finished house. I quite liked our sales rep. He was fairly patient with us as we took around 7 months to sign any initial contracts. I also like the fact that they have been very prompt with our paperwork and plans. After I made changes I would have it emailed to me within a couple of working days. I don't feel like I have had to chase them for anything. Which makes it easier. Sometimes I found the pricing a bit far fetched. For smaller items. Obviously most builders overcharge for items, so this is more a gripe at the industry rather than Lifestyle homes.
