WARNING !! ...Buyer Beware Apparently when you purchase an Item from Little Acre Mushrooms you are now AUTOMATICALLY SUBSCRIBED to a 4 Weekly Subscription Plan; Hitting your Credit Card Every 4 weeks unless CANCELLED by YOU. Yes if you Notice that it has been pre-Selected you can Deselect this Default Option but this is NOT expected nor obvious. Opting into a Subscription should not be the DEFAULT Setting for Purchases.
Also of Note is that even if you Opt Out of Saving your Credit Card Details. They are Saved and Shared with SHOPIFY. This is because UnKnown to you; you have AutoGenerated a Subscription Plan with your Credit Card Details.
This type of Forced ReSale is UnEthical and DisHonest.
The DEFAULT action SHOULD be that you are Not AUTOMATICALLY Opted into a Subscription and you Have to Manually SELECT to Subscribe.
So if you have an Unexpected Purchase form Little Acre Mushrooms This may be the Cause.
Purchased Little Acre Mushroom kit and followed the instructions and You Tube tutorial to the letter. The cost was $29.99 ($30). The yield is pathetic and has turned out to be the most expensive mushrooms I have ever purchased (and had to nurture as well). There was enough for only one serving. Advised Little Acre of my disappointment on their contact message system but no reply. Do not waste your money and time. Far better off to buy your mushrooms from shops or markets.

Our kits are designed as an educational product showing you the process of how mushrooms grow. The product is an everything included, easy process for beginners, to get people interested in growing mushrooms at home. Growing a kit just like this one was how we got started!
I hope you're not too disappointed with your results and that you can measure your success not on the grams of mushrooms produced but on the experience of watching your mushrooms grow and cooking the freshest mushrooms you'll ever have at home!
If your kit has stopped producing mushrooms from the bag, take the block out of the bag, place it in a shaded spot in your garden and cover it with moist mulch - you can get bonus mushrooms this way if it likes the conditions outside.
Should be stated “for educational purposes only”. At no time on your tutorial or on the box is there a mention of that! Best to change your labelling on box and your tutorial. For my mind that falls under the meaning of deception. Received same generic response by email ONLY after they had seen my review.
Hi Helen, in my email I did let you know that we were interstate presenting workshops and talking at the Sydney Royal Easter Show during the weekend that you emailed us for support and I apologised for the delay in getting back to you. I emailed you the day I returned to the office. We are a small Australian owned and operated business and you're talking with the founder of the business who is also the customer support team. We're passionate about helping people to grow their own mushrooms and our small beginner mushroom kits are usually the first step for people to experience growing their own mushrooms. Our website states that the kits produce enough mushrooms to make a meal for 1-2 people. You purchased our kit from ALDI so we understand that you would not have seen this information in-store. Not admirable to blame ALDI for your lack of information on box or online tutorial! I am sure ALDI also would not be impressed…….I feel they would have had a lot of returns on your mushroom kit! Who sold the kits to ALDI? Little Acre Mushrooms. Best to own it.

If so, we got back to you instantly last night to rectify the accidental subscription and we can delete any personal information associated with your order on request from our systems. We've contacted our web developers this morning and fixed the new subscription function to be an OPT IN for tinctures and grow blocks. We can't see any credit card details except for the last 4 digits which is standard across online shopping.
