day but didn’t realise the discount ended - the Lady gave me the discount without me asking - (NB: I had mentioned why I came in person). Personally, I just keep having great experiences here, not to mention I got the best beach umbrella in the colour I always wanted. I’m super happy and recommend Shades Australia for their fantastic products, prices and service. An all round great Australian company.

Ordered the ground screw as a try and see solution to the normal umbrella stands which bend out of shape if you look at them the wrong way. My seating area put up a bit of a fight, but it eventually went in and feels very solid. Only time and some high winds will tell, but so far very happy. Show 3 replies

We have used 2 products: the waterproof shade cloth and a bright blue shade cloth to make blinds on three projects now. Top quality products. Fair pricing. Efficient delivery. Highly recommended. Photo shows waterproof shade cloth (cream) on roof of pergola and double home made roll down blinds. Waterproof (cream) on outside facing prevailing rain with blue shadecloth hung inside for sunny days to keep alfresco area cool. Show reply

 Follow-up  · The questions were about specific measurements on the umbrella because it was going to be placed in a very tight area. The changes were only my requests for different products due to that tight fit on a balcony. I only had 1.6M to play with so the wall mount umbrella fit like a dream after a 'slight' adjustment. this delivery. So, the umbrella itself ? Perfect! 3 x 2m rectangle works great, looks great. Seems good quality (time will tell), and the cover is a good purchase for a few extra dollars. The only thing I'll point out is that we ordered "French Grey" and were expecting it to be darker and well, grey ! It's not a big deal, just be aware there are variations in fabric colour (as stated on the website), and this one is a pale neutral x grey sort of shade. It looks smart against the charcoal post and arms though, so I'm not unhappy. The tilt mechanism works well and is exactly what we needed. So all up, thoroughly impressed with Laura, Shade Australia, Allied Express and the actual Shelta product. If only all businesses could be so efficient !

and went to pick it up. However, when I went to pick it up it while it was an extra large it was for centre pole umbrella not as I needed, and had told them, for a cantilevered umbrella – when I pointed this out I was referred to another (more experienced) sales assistant who agreed it was not the right cover but she then tried to sell me that another cover which was not only the wrong size (medium instead of extra large) but was also not for a cantilevered umbrella). It was only when I again pointed it out that they consulted the table indicating covers for various umbrella covers and agreed I needed an extra large cantilevered cover. They said they did not have any in stock.. All very frustrating - as including driving time was over an hour and a half of my time.

I then went on line and found Shade Australia. I called them to ensure I got the right cover. The sales assistance was so helpful and knowledgeable. They even looked up my umbrella model number to confirm that I was ordering the right cover.

The cover was posted to me and arrived a few days later. It was spot on and so easy to get the right cover

Clearly it pays to go to the experts - I only wish I had gone to them first time but will definitely use them again if I ever need any of the products that they sell.

Dissatisfied customer – I ordered a Savannah Cantilever umbrella online on 22nd February, and paid online. The website stated, and still does today the 10th March, that most colours are in stock and available for next day delivery. On 24th Feb I had an email from the company stating the umbrella was not in stock and there was only one colour available (which I did not… Read more

want). When I phoned I was told the Black Savannah was not available until mid year. No good to me as this was required for a function. I found a similar one in stock in Brisbane and purchased. I phoned Shade Australia on Monday March 1st to get a refund. No problem! A credit memo was emailed to me within the hour, and I expected a refund within 4-5 days Max. So, today is 10th, still no refund! Phoned to be told the refund wasn’t put through until the 8th March. If you can write and email me a credit memo, you could process a refund which would take all of a minute! The excuse was “we are moving”, which was also the excuse on 24th Feb. Are you running a business, because quite frankly Shade Australia, you’re not doing a very good job of it.

Lengthy and poor return service of faulty item – I purchased a Shelta outdoor umbrella and when i unpacked it discovered it was ripped in 4 sections of the fabric. I arranged for return of the umbrella however as it was Christmas/New Year period the return was delayed as the store wanted to avoid higher freight charges meanwhile expecting me to wait until early January to arrange for a return… Read more

pick up. The umbrella was returned 8 Jan 2022 and I have only today received my replacement umbrella which looks very similar to the one I returned. The company held my money for 3 months whilst I went through this process. Not ideal but just happy it's over. I made 10+ follow up calls in January and expended a lot of energy which could of been avoided if Shade Australia at least acknowledged the error and sent me a replacement earlier. The process so me the consumer be out of pocket and without a product for 2 months :(

This was my second order, as I had been pleased with the quality of the first. I have an unusual use - using 1.8m, 90% cloth vertically to divert cold air and frost from a lower part of my vineyard. I contacted Shade Australia, asking if they could provide a shade to cover my greenhouse. After providing them with photos and a desertion for what I needed, they produced a shade that covers the greenhouse perfectly.
