Not honest and don't care – Was more expensive, salsman didn't really want to bring the price down. Eventually talked them down, but I should have walked away. Was told the product was in stock until I paid for it. Took weeks for it to arrive, no apology blamed the supplier. Salesman didn't care. Show details

a solid no from me – 1) The price for a quote was higher than advertised on their own website 2) It took 3.5 weeks to get a quote when I was told 1 - 2 3) the final quote on my 1970's Sansui amplifier described some basic tests and that diagnosis was a vague 'in the power amp' - 4) the final quote was over $1100 - a ridiculous price I believe the techs had raised… Read more

because they didn't know how to deal with my amp. 5) When I called the sales guy a second time to check when I could actually pick up the amp he sounded irritated I'd called him back - terrible customer service. He hadn't explained this in the initial call earlier in the day and I had to drive 2 hours to get there.

...oh and after doing some reading on online forums I fixed the issue in the amp with an $18 can of contact cleaner.

If you have classic gear don't waste your money here.

bad and unethical business conduct. buyers beware!!! – A sales guy at Livingsound proved himself a low act during a price match process; showcasing no ethics or standards in the way he conducted the business. His bad conduct not only lost my business to Livingsound but a ~8K worth of business of my mate's, who referred me to Livingsound. I was looking for a Rotel CD player and I couldn't find any… Read more

in Brisbane. The last place left to check was "Livingsound" at the Brunswick street.

The sales assistant at Livingsound quoted me a price, which was the most expensive quote I received for that Rotel CD player model. But I was assured he could match the price when I told him I've been offered a cheaper prices at a few other places who didn't have this model in stocks.

The sales person wanted to verify the price, what other retailers have given me. That is reasonable step to verify since there should be some evidence or a mechanism to validate what the customers claim. But the question is the methodology or the business practice he applied when performing the price match, which was a low act. He called the store in Melbourne and said the following:

"I'm a retailer calling from Brisbane. I need to know whether you have quoted someone $$ for a Rotel CD player on Monday or Tuesday. That person is here and told me you have quoted him $$ for a CD player".

The sales person should have performed the "price match" without exposing the privacy of the buyer. His intention was not to match the price but to spoil the chances of my business going to the Melbourne store.

The way he tried to match the price and the phone conversation showed the sales guy lacked a bit of education on how to conduct a business. Had the sales person been a bit educated and classy, he wouldn't have followed that approach. Perhaps, I could be wrong here for expecting a bit too much from an incompetent salesman.

At the end, I got the CD player from Melbourne store but this time with a further discounted price than what was initially quoted by them, thanks to the incompetent sales guy at the Livingsound. :D

There are many good HiFi retailers in Brisbane such as ToddsHiFi, Trimiria and Northside HiFi who offer an excellent customer support and a very good product range. These guys would give you the best viable solution rather than trying to rip you off like Livingsound.

Excellent – Great! [name removed] and the gang were only to eager to please, and even though we changed our minds a couple of times, nothing was too hard. We had heaps of assistance with the design and, even though I did the wiring myself, they came out and completed the set up, tuned it all in, and we have great after sales service. Even after a year putting… Read more

up with a dud external speaker, they came out and changed it, no charge! Just had another service call, they came out fixed the small problem, serviced the projector, and still complimentary. Would I use them again? YES!!! Even now thinking of building a new house and would definitely go with Jamada again!!! Great Company! Service! Not only the initial "walk in" service, but for the whole experience. They spent heaps of time with us and talked about all kinds of issues. We have had the boys out for a couple of service calls and the response has been fantastic! Nothing too much trouble.

Good. So good I went back again and again – I have spent thousands at that store. What started as a simple small speaker purchase. Several months later, went back and realized they were really as good as I remembered and then just finished up building a home theater with them. The owner is a bit wacky, but the guys on the floor are fantastic. And you can always phone them later on with… Read more

any queries or troubleshooting and they'll sort it out for you, even if you didn't buy your component from them. Prompt good and realiable service Wacky owner, if that's even a problem

Excellent – Great service, great advice, great products. Would recommend to my friends. They designed and installed a home entertainment solution to suit ME. I can't stand the boxed packages that do not adapt for individual requirements. Surprisingly, it wasn't much more to get much better quality. Large variety. Knowledgeable staff. Retail and commercial.
