I have been a customer of Lorraine lea for over 20 years and it was the only bed linen I would buy, so I was so disappointed with my latest purchase of a new set of sheets, pillow cases and doona cover. The pillow cases faded two shades in the first wash, and the pillow cases that came with the doona cover feel like sandpaper after 1 wash. I won't be purchasing from this company again.
Support team are not supportive because i have sent Many messages and noone gets back to you good luck
Lorraine lea linen – Ordered on line - missed one product and couldn’t add to my order - they wanted me to pay another postage of $16.50 - Said my order was dispatched - I only ordered the nite before and emailed straight away - no customer service was offered just a flat out no Very very disappointed. I have been a customer for a long time they have no lost a customer And I will no longer recommend Lorraine Lea linen to any of my friends and family
WORST PILLOW EVER!! – I bought the latex pillow for $150 with postage and it's WAY too thick and my neck has never been sorer! Of course because it's not still in its packaging it cannot be returned. The quality is crap and I won't buy anything from them ever again. May as well just flush my money down the toilet!
Buyer beware!!! – Absolutely the worst linen we've ever had. We were gifted 2 euro pillows, quilted covers for them, a doona cover, a throw and a mattress protector for our move to Queenstown 3 years ago. Almost all are dead. Over half within the first week! The euros became a misshapen mess in days. The covers doona cover pilled after one wash and tonight I just… Read more
peeled the mattress protector off our $7000 bed only to find it had pilled our mattress and the waterproof fabric had disintegrated completely. I had to vacuum our bed and floor for 20 mins just to get all the plastic film that was EVERYWHERE. This stuff is very expensive trash. All we have left is a pink throw that looks like someone stitched hundreds of female private parts together. What a great gift...
Ripped off! – I recently ordered a Lorraine Lea faux suede king bedwrap in "ecru", costing a total of $56.00 ($39.50 plus $16.50 p&p). Although I'd ordered "ecru" (beige), when it arrived I was surprised to see the colour stated on the packaging clearly said "cream", which turned out to be way too light and obviously not the colour I'd ordered. I emailed them… Read more
and they kindly sent a return form and supplied a Reply Paid address so I wasn't any further out of pocket. Poor quality control but good customer service thus far. So you can imagine how upset I was today when my refund was processed for the cost of the bedwrap only and didn't include the $16.50 I paid for p&p! I've just got off the phone from them and in their eyes they did the right thing by paying for the return postage, which is true. But as I pointed out, why should I still be $16.50 out of pocket when they have advertised and sold an item that is incorrectly/falsely described? Surely this is contravening the Fair Trading Act and Australian Consumer Law? Unfortunately for me, this business is based in Melbourne and I live in Queensland so all I can do is try and warn people by spreading the word that they are untrustworthy and duplicitious to deal with.
Pillows – I washed my pillows in washing machine and they fell apart
Pleasantly surprised despite bad reviews of Lorraine Lea – A friend recommended Lorraine Lea premium percale bed linen. I was concerned after reading some negative reviews and the relatively low thread count. After being shown my friend’s pillowcase as a sample, I was impressed with the crisp quality and rich vibrant colour that hadn’t faded over the past 2 years. Very happy with my purchase.
Don’t waste your money! – Honestly, every single item I have bought did not last. Save your money, my Kmart products have lasted longer and better quality.
Don’t rate it highly especially for the price – I hosted a Lorraine Lea Party and over the span of my party and a friends party, I spent over $700? Luckily the two expensive overrated purchases were my ‘half price’ host items which were still way over priced. One is in the bin. Austin quilt cover which used to slip around and the quilt would end up bunched inside every night! It’s not in the… Read more
bin as the material had a tear after only the third wash - yes I could have repaired it but considering i was unhappy with the purchase from the start, I binned it.
Second half price item I got was the matress topper. Comfy, been thru the wash twice and the mattress skirting has a tear in it.
The only purchase I like is the sheets because they are deep for my mattress.
Seriously, just go to Adair’s or target.

Very disappointed in the Quality of Bamboo Quilt and Emine Towels – Just here to write a bad but honest review as I'm so disappointed with the quality of the things I recently purchased. A shame as I have purchase several things in the past and have always spoken highly of Lorraine Lea. The bamboo quilt I cannot say avoid it enough! Well that is if you like to wash your quilt. I washed it as soon as I received it… Read more
in a delicate wash and let it spin on a very low speed. As soon as I hung it out it was obvious the clumping of the filling inside. I continued to use it for a few months to see if it would correct itself. I washed it again hoping for a miracle. It's no better, probably worse. This therefore makes it sit all clumpy in the quilt cover. A shame as I like the coolness of it when using it but cannot stand the uneven clumps in it. DO NOT BUY is all my advice. So disappointed given the cost of it too.
Secondly, the Emine towels and bath mats are very poorly made with the stitching. I spent shy of a grand on a whole new linen cupboard of them and have had nearly half of them with the stitching come undone and fraying after only 1 or 2 washes. I see these are all clearance items now and I'm not surprised if others have had these same issues. I'm just angry as I sit here throwing my expensive towels now into the rag basket as they look so tacky. And before anyone may think it's my washing machine (because that's what I first thought), I have a newish 14kg LG top loader with no agitator and used the delicate setting and this is still the outcome. I will also add that I have washed several other brands of towels and quilts in it and never had an issue.
Will also add that I contacted Lorraine Lea and although they were happy to refund the damaged towels if I return them, they won't refund the undamaged ones. As if I want a cupboard of mismatched towels? Sorry but not worth wasting my time and going through the hassle of returning some with no replacements available.
Anyway just wanted others to hear an honest opinion on these particular items and advise avoid if you don't want to waste your money.
Excellent quality – Excellent quality Hi I purchased doona cover, tea towels and some pillows around 23 years ago. They were of excellent quality. I am still using tea towels now. Loved their products. Looking forward to attending a party st my sister in laws next week.
Does not wear well – Quality when first purchased seems quite good, however does not wear well. When looking for customer service for advice on a mattress topper, this was dismissed due to them not finding a record of purchase within past three years which is 'well beyond warranty coverage'- their words in response email. Trouble is, I have looked after my products… Read more
and this is only several years old. I was asking how i could manage it going forward, since the backing had started cracking for no reason I could detect and needed to know if it would worsen in the wash. As this is the second product I have had trouble with wear, the first being 'unstainable' table mats that are now too embarrassing to use due to stains (food only and which happened quite quickly), I expected for the price paid that there would be customer support. Disappointing.

The Best Linen and Decor – I love their home linen products…they last for years. You get good bang for your bucks. I love Lorraine Lea.
Disappointed – Got conned into buying from a friend who had a party. Bought the bathroom runner and toilet mat as well as the body pillow and a pillow case. Very disappointed in the quality overall. I prefer the mats and pillowcases I got from Kmart for fraction of the price. My friend got bed spreads and seriously did not feel like a 600 thread count. The pictures of the items in the brochure are not as big or as colourful in reality. Overpriced crap really.
Best linen – I have purchased linen from Lorraine Lea Linen over the years and it is the best. I have sheets that I bought years & years & years ago from them, they are still crispy and fresh when washed. They have a great range of colours and sizes of manchester, cushions, tea towels etc. It may seem pricey but worth it because it will last for years. Can't recommend them highly enough.
